I see a lot of these questions asked about everyone's favorite dual-wielding dagger thief, so I'm here to answer the important things for newbie players! I hope you find this helpful. As an endgame Dual Blade in reboot, I did not like this guide. There are several problems with this guide.
1. Blade ascension in boost nodes = Blade ascenscion is a movement / reposition tool and does not need to be boosted for movement. Needs to be boosted for very specific mobbing rotations.
2. "Asura's anger is your 2ndary burst skill if tempest is on cooldown." I don't know what this means and later you even say that asura's anger is used as an off burst. This is misleading at best and misinformation at worst. Your burst INCLUDES asura's anger, you can fit Blade Tornado (2x), Blades of destiny (2x), Blade tempest AND asura's anger within your strongest burst buffs.
3. "You want 20% cooldown skip as a dual blade." You do not. It is a preference thing. CD skip in inner ability is PURELY for Quality of Life and can even mess up your gameplay by resetting skills like Angelic Busters link skill (which is used during burst) as it can confuse you with whether or not you managed to use it. Not to mention it is RNG. 20% boss is fine, do not state this as if there is no choice here. You might make people roll the inner ability away for nothing but Quality of Life that is RNG based. Trusting on RNG is not a viable option in late game bossing, you need to learn the mechanics.
4. "You want Final Cut to be up everytime during bossing to save yourself from bullshit." Do you mean the buff or the skill as an Iframe? This is confusing as it can be interpreted both ways. You want it up as a buff. If you have Buff Duration as either 2nd or 3rd inner ability line, the buff lasts longer and you can use it as an Iframe. OR you can cooldown skip this (and Sudden raid to lower the cooldown of Final Cut). Final Cut should not be off cooldown just to be saved as an Iframe as it is 40% of your damage. (The Final Damage buff you get from it.) Also, you should explain WHY have buff duration as an option in inner ability. You do not mention this at all and just leave it at that.
5. Chains of hell gives you 1.5 second IF you do not connect the skill with a monster MEANING you have to be close to a monster, to receive the full duration of 3 seconds. Because we have Chains of hell reserved ONLY as an Iframe, we do not need to rely on Final Cut as an Iframe.
6. You mention Critical Rate in inner ability. Why should we get that when Dual Blade has a skill that gives you 100% critical rate (Shadow Meld). Well, you never explain this either, and a newbie would simply say "Well, this is dumb, we have 100% critical rate." The truth is that this buff might not be up 100% of the time and late game bosses might not even trigger this.
7. "You dont want 12 9 9 potential hat, stat." Why? What stat? Please explain that you mean that LUK as a potential line is weaker to Dual Blade than -1 or -2 cooldown line, due to the 5th job skills Blades of Destiny and Blade Tornado being so big part of our damage, that reducing their cooldown is more valuable than 12% or 9% luk stat potential lines. You also call this "skill cooldown." This is a bad way to say this, it is confusing, especially just for the people who are listening, not looking at the video. Call it "Minus skill cooldown line." You even mistakenly say "Cooldown Reset" You should have just edited the video, not to mention Cooldown Reset in this context. Also, you don't mention Haunted Edge. It is also affected by a Cooldown Reduction lines and is decent damage.
8. "Which katara should I use." Never say "Arcane Katara". This is BAD advice. Sweet katara is so much easier to upgrade and getting spares is very easy. Saying that a casual player could get an arcane katara is stupid. This could waste someone's Arcane Umbra weapon box OR someone's droplets and meso.
9. "You press 2 skills for your burst." No you do not. If you are not going in depth about this , do not mention a hilariously abridged versio of a Dual Blade's burst (with the remark of "Asura's anger is off burst." which I already mentioned is BAD advice at best, misinformation at worst.) but point them to check a video instead. "Bursting with Dual Blade is simple but you should check a more in depth guide for Dual Blade bursting as I will not be going in depth about this topic."
10. "You can ignore boss mechanics." For a few seconds.... You still need to learn the bosses. Late game, some bosses punish THE WHOLE TEAM for mistakes YOU MAKE. In Seren, you will kill your party if you Iframe at the wrong time. THIS IS NOT GOOD ADVICE. Also, either elaborate why you can ignore mechanics with darksight or point people to a guide. It only helps with certain mechanics.
11. "A liberated Dual Blade, with enough damage can solo anything, unless they time out." With enough damage already includes the assumption that you do not time out, since you have the damages... (More of a writing critique but this shows that your unscripted video's are not clear and concise. You should consider writing a script for your videos instead. Not the only example of a mistake that could have been fixed with a clearly written script for the video.)
12. "Dual Blade's grinding is fine, not terrible." Dual Blade's grinding is decent at worst and great at best. In previous videos you have demonstrated a complete lack of understanding mobbing rotations, which cause your rates to be bad. You have even expressed this in your older videos, saying that Dual Blade's mobbing is bad. Dual Blade's are one of the best mobbers in grandis. You might think this because you are used to mob with at totem but totems (spawn enhancers) are not official content and the game was not balanced around these. Without spawn enhancers, following a mobbing rotation, you can get good results, ESPECIALLY in grandis (260+) but also earlier maps.
Final Thought. It would be good if you were to double check what the information is what you give to players and that you edit the videos, when you make a mistake, so that there is less confusion. Writing a script for your video's would be helpful in this regard. This video is meant for a new players but as you do not provide the nuances a new player would need (as they are new), some of the information does not come across clearly and might even be misleading. Meaning only a player, deep in the game might notice that the nuance is missing but this is not a guide meant for them, is it? A guide for new players should have nothing that can cause confusion and if you do not want to go too in depth to a topic, point the players to a video or a source where they can get the relevant info, so they do not waste time (which could be A LOT since this is an MMORPG) on something that is factually incorrect or misleading.
I agree with nearly all of these points, except #8.
iirc he is in reg server, so reg server didn't get the increased drop rate of sweetwater weapons reboot got.
Yes, sweetwater katara is still BiS for reg server, but they cost an arm and a leg to buy a spare, so most people just decide to rock an arcane katara as an alternative.
@@notjouzu4185 Okay, I play reboot so I did not know this but this distinction was also NOT made in the video. If this point had been made in the video, I would not have commented on this. This would be important information for a new player.

I dont like Cooldown reset as I dont want to rely on RNG for my survivability. If you need to Iframe more often, then you have not learned the mechanics. This is a problem especially if you play multiple characters, since your other character might not have the same survivability. Also, often while bursting I got confused whether or not my Angelic Buster link skill went thru or not and I wasted burst buffs. Buff duration is better since it makes the buff duration of Final Cuts buff longer, so I can use the Final cut more as an Iframe rather than upkeeping the buff. Buff duration also works for Angelic Buster link skill, which can mean you can more hits in there.
With the new patch, does one need to transpose faf to sweetwater katara or just skip it?

How much of a difference is stat hat vs cdr hat? Is 2cdr and 12% stat way better than 30%+ stat hat?

I agree with u in the invincibility part. I find it a boring mechanic, but the bind helps out a lot to deal the damage, specially for classes that needs to buff up first. they wouldn't deal their true damage without binding, because bosses keeps moving around and damien flies for example, so it's um, crucial for this type of game (imo of course). I do enjoy a challenge tho!
