Authorised persons basically stockbroker ke behalf par act karte hain. Their role is to bring new clients to the stockbroker. APs ek samay par sirf ek trading member ke saath affiliated ho sakte hain. Trading members yani someone who can trade at the exchange - like stockbrokers.
So finally, APs come to investors as an agent of the stockbroker. APs aapko stockbroker ke trading platform ka access dete hain. In return, stockbrokers inko commission, salary and benefits dete hain.

Remember, APs are not sub-brokers. APs stock exchange ke saath registered hote hain, naki SEBI ke saath.
