- In this video I will be discussing how to begin working with Santa Muerte and it is mostly geared towards beginners and those new to her and new to working with her. This video shows you how to work with most holy death, and how to petition Santa Muerte. I tell you how to start working with santisima Muerte and dispelled some myths associated with her.
The first time I ever contacted Santa muerte, I lit a candle and placed her statue and prayed to her then sat down and all the sudden I saw 4 owls I live in California so seeing owls is not common. I was literally in awe!! It was so amazing to experience her 😍

She’s been calling me for so long… I’ve known she’s there but I only recently learned her name… it’s a beautiful connection and I’m beginning my healing journey with her now.
Literally I feel like she has been calling me to work with her I feel goosebumps every time I hear her name and like I can feel her presence!
I grew up in this culture and with this Santa and specifically Her Culto Privado, this video isn't very accurate to be honest. She is not open to work with just anyone, and I cannot count how many times I've encountered people who swear up and down that SM is calling them. When you ask them how they know and confirmed this the answer is always inaccurate. She's just one of the Santos Malditos that people know about-or at least vaguely in all reality. Her true veneration is not something you just pull up on Google or UA-cam or in some charlatans books. It is a very private lineage of sorcery connected to other Santos Malditos that people don't know about because you'd have to actually grow up in this culture and speak the language, and then be taught by an actual Brujo trained in Her mysteries. It's not like you can just buy a statue throw it on a night stand light some candles and start praying to it 😂😂

And like the girl wrote the original comment here, probably a white girl who no clue who Santa Muerte really is. You see that alot in African diasporic traditions as well such as Haitian Vodou, Palo Mayombe, Brazilian Quimbanda. People don't even know what it is really, but they see pictures online and read some basic stuff which is usually inaccurate if not outright nonsense and then it's "I'm called to Haitian Vodou! I know for a fact my ancestors are calling me to Palo Mayombe" same old song. Always by white people in the US or Europe too.

I now have her protection and that has now given me hope and confidence and a new sense of acceptance and love. I first started working with her over a year ago but I sometimes felt a distance, so I (respectfully) took down her statues and altar. I had some health problems in the past few months and I prayed to her while I was having some pretty painful treatments. I asked her for strength and to make me stronger than the pain. Well, seven months later I can say that I'm getting better and I can't stop thinking about her.

I was praying the rosary to Santa Muerte the other day, inviting her presence, and as I went through the beads, I noticed a sudden cold shift!
I live in TN, so it was warm in the room, and I felt my rosary getting cold, but it felt so comforting? That maternal presence you were talking about, I felt that in the cold.

I was 13 years old, deep in my depression, when I begun seeing her, always with a flower crown on her head. I was christian at the time, and in Brazil Santa Muerte isn't quite known, so I saw it as a sign of "evil" and, after I left christianity, I thought she representend suicidal thoughts. Yet, I always longed to stay with her. I imagined us waltzing, I'd even "cry on her shoulder" (I still do). She held all these motherly characteristics and yet I had never heard of Santa Muerte till last year. I would (and do) dedicate poems and songs to her, not knowing why...
I'm an atheist, so I practice the psychological model of magick. She holds many characteristics of Persephone too. It is fascinating how the collective unconscious works... The indigenous people of pre-colombian Mexico never met the Greeks, yet they have such similar archetypes. I didn't know shit about Santa Muerte yet I always dreamed of her... The human mind is "God". It creates wonders we cannot explain. Fascinating, thank you for the video.
Totally agree. I believe Santa Muerte may have came to me four years ago in a very dark, suicidal time but I thought it was the goddess Eris, which was odd to me because I have a statue of Baphomet and like you think of this stuff as a psychological thing thanks to the CoS. Then I read Man and His Symbols. The collective unconscious really must be real if archetypes can come to someone or even manifest in things being knocked off the shelves or events happening. They're alive in a real sense, bodiless, within the entirety of our species and who knows how old. For Muerte she's probably as old as when the human species could recognize death. Millions of years AT LEAST.

Hi Leroy! ❤️ I must say that this was a beautifully put video about our Santa Muerte. I am mexican, just for clarification. As you mentioned, she is non judmental and she will protect and care for her devotees as long as it is our Lords will.
For that, many cartel members have turned to her. In their line of work they will see her sooner or later and it makes sense.
You dont need a single thing. Not even a specific prayer. But you do need to be respectful and genuine.
My mother use to work with her and the idea I had was scary really. I moved to Sweden and far from my family and my roots I really didnt have much faith in anything but I knew I was protected and blessed despite my own hardships.
When life turned in to a living hell, I was about to loose it all. I was in Denmark at the time, with my young daughter then 5 yrs old. without money or contacts exept my exhusband who turned on us.
I dreamt of her twice, mind you... there where no depictions of her anywhere I was at. So I called my mother and asked what that meant. She told me that she wanted me to ask her for her help.
That same day I spoke to her with my heart in my hand. Not too long after, I can only describe as miracles started to happen to me. Once I was safe and Stable, I made her her altar. After other blessings, I tattooed her image on my back. Whenever the help I ask for is not given, I know that it is because I need to learn something or its just a way to something else. The relationship I have with this magnificent diety is loving, protecting, caring and respectful. Its up to me to be a deserving human being and do good.

I set up a small altar after having had dreams of her for a year and hearing her name everywhere. The night I set up her section in my home and spoke to her for the first time, I was incredibly sad; however a couple of hours after I had set up I was a crying mess. I wasn’t talking to her directly at that point but I felt a shift in the room and I immediately felt more calm. Two hours later the sun came up I got up to change her water, it was filled with bubbles. She showed up when I needed her most.
That’s a wonderful experience with her. Her energy can be very calming and peaceful when needed
I was ALWAYS so drawn to her. Now I'm going to worship her and call for her.

In Argentina my grandfather and his brother even my great grandmother worshipped her or San La Muerte the Argentine name. They always had her as the focal point of the altar. I have been around her since childhood and she has been an integral part of my family and ancestors life. I am now starting to explore her and I feel so at peace with her. I am not scared of her because she has always been a kind being to me.

As an Argentine myself, I second this. It never hit me what the statues meant bc they were always there and it was normal for me to see them. Recently though, she came to me and I am so grateful 🤍🙏🏼

I heard her name in a tv series, long time ago. It stuck with me for a while, always in the back of my mind; then, a friend of mine started reading tarot and I felted so connected to it that I decided to start reading too - today, I read tarot to her and all my friends. But, when I went to buy my first deck, I got FIXATED in the Santa Muerte deck by Lo Scarabeo. I just knew it was this deck, it couldn't be another. And so, I started learning about her and in such a small amount of time, she has halped me so much - I survived two car crashes in less than one week! La Santissima is a blessing, the tarot deck is in my altar, with other small things and manzanas and smokes - she likes those a lot

I see her as very similar to Kali- she represents death but also creation and time and she is a “dark mother” you can go to for anything, and she’s even associated with criminal gangs.

It’s crazy bc I saw a video about her and decided to do research deeper bc I had this instant feeling of needing to dive deeper into her origin.. and I clicked this video and out of know where I dazed out and clear as day she talked to me I felt her everything got warm and I was zoned out and she spoke to me while joking my shoulder telling me I’m gonna do great and my time to transcend to a better me is here and wen I came back to reality I bursted into happy tears feeling so thankful and like a weight is off my shoulders and immediately said thank you to her and I’ve never worked with her before but have gotten signs.. BUT THIS was such a clear connection I knew it was her felt her heard her and saw her.. I do see her leave her image in many ways that are too strong for me to ignore. She reached out to me today after doing an egg cleanse and realizing I had no strong deity to pray to and was struggling with that. I originally saw a veiled skull in my cleanse but knew it was not a sign of death, it just felt different and looked feminine for some reason. I started googling and instantly remembered the Santa Muerte paintings I had seen in the past. In the hours after realizing it was her veiled face, I've seen her face everywhere and feel so blessed for finding this connection. @@Whisperstud Lol thanks but I wasn’t saying she was. Saint is literally in her title 😂 . My exact words were that I had no strong deity to pray to. Aka, I didn’t have a god (or goddess) that I strongly believed in or connected with.
This is relevant because one common way of doing an egg cleanse has the person performing the act say an Our Father. An Our Father is a Christian prayer to a Christian God (deity), which I, again, don’t believe in. Thanks for taking the time to mansplain that for me, hopefully I was clear enough in my response as well.
I've been researching her for a short while, she's been on my mind since and immediately synchronizes have been appearing to me. For a few nights in a row I woke up at 3:33am. Then a Santa Muerte prayer poped up on my fyp, i decided to meditate on the prayer. I felt so peaceful channeling her energy. When I was finished I realized it was 11:11. I've been noticing skulls more frequently. I look forward to receiving future signs from her 💞💀🙏

Sounds weird but shes literally saved me multiple times from terrible storms, she gave me light, running water, and a home. Santa Muerte has called me for so long. I have no relationship with my parents and she has a very maternal energy, as well as helping me with my magical and necromantic practice. I had recently asked her to send me a sign and as I was walking my dog one night, a beautiful black owl flew directly over my head. 🙏🏻

Very nice video.I am just blown away because roughly six years ago I was traveling thru Texas and became attracted to her.I was a homeless traveller and spending a lot of time praying to Virgin Mary,Jesus and Krsna but for once was sending her prayers as well.i don't remember if I asked her for money or not but while in San Antonio I found a wad of cash on the ground and that night while laying in my hammock her flawlessly picture perfect image was before me made out of the branches, vines,leaves and trunks of the trees in the wooded area I was camping in.it was undeniably her.I had tons of other strange synchronistic experiences around her but this one amazes me.i now six years later have decided to seek help for some serious health issues I'm going thru and have decided to began worshipping her so thank you for this informative video .

Ever since i started my journey on the "Twilight Path", and working with the realm of the Dead, she just felt like a great fit. I have a death altar, and venerate her and her image upon it along with other items regarding death. I have wet and dry specimen animals and parts, a skrying mirror and candles, little crystal skulls, etc. I just really felt that she would enjoy being part of that. I recently purchased larger statues of her than I previously had, because I gave my white Santa Muerte statue to a friend. I felt like she needed her. I went to replace my white statue, and the same size I had originally was no longer available. So, my small black statue will live upon my coffin shelf, and my two new white and black statues will be on the altar. Thank you so much for all of your information! I really would like to honor her in a more traditional way. I have also purchased a mojo bag, cleansing water and protection spray that all bear her symbols and likeness. She is definitely a very important part of my life, now. I am very grateful that my favorite metaphysical shop has a plethora of Santa Muerte things. The owner and her mother are from Mexico, and I've been with her since before she opened the shop. I felt compelled to follow her on that journey. Her family is loving, open, and accepting of me as I am....a little dark witch with a loving heart. That's probably another reason why Santa Muerte resonates so much with me. Great video! New viewer here and thank you for sharing this information. I've been on the Left Hand Path for about 30 years but in recent times I've wanted to connect with my DNA/culture. I'm about 5 different races but on my father's side im Mexican and Native and the only real appeal or pull I've felt is from Santa Muerte. This pull has only been for about a week so I'm new to this being. I'm not an abrahamist nor do I see the world through the abrahamic lens but something about her has my attention. I look forward to watching more of your videos and getting a better understanding of her.

May the great Santa Muerte be with all of you. I follow 3 religions - Haitian Voodoo Catholicism and Santa Muerte. I rejected her once and it will never happen again she came to me in a dream and I just feel at peace around her and i love her i just wish she'd gain far more followers because she's underrated and I don't like that - the great Santa Muerte shall be honored at least around me but haters can say what they want about her because no true follower of her should give a shit. She's a very good role model and she's protected me for a day and I'm grateful. I worship the loa and god almighty but I worship the great Santa Muerte too and she's a good goddess. I'm not trying to compare her to any of my other masters and she's the best thing that ever came to me but I'm very open minded. She's not jealous evil and/or spiteful she's full of love compassion and understanding. Bless all other followers of the great goddess herself. PS - When people say that she's evil and other negative comments that's very detesting to me so people need to keep their opinions to their selves.

I grew up thinking she was bad until I had my own spiritual awakening. I’ve always been gifted, my grandparents were curanderos and I didn’t start embracing this until my late 20s.
I have not tried working with her because I can not keep a promise that I’ll do something in return for her favor. I do acknowledge and accept the truth of who she is and I’ve been called towards her many times but I think I’ll set space on my alter for her along with my other saints until I feel spiritually ready to work.
I think with spiritual practices you should always work at your own pace, and not let others dictate how quickly or slowly you come to a certain path, if at all. I think it’s good that you take your time instead of rushing into things!
She isn't of the divine light and there's no returning with her don't do it.

Thank you. I'm white, but was raised and adopted into a Latino family. My grandmother was a devotee. I have encountered so many who told me that I couldn't work with her. Until recently.i asked if she wanted me as her daughter, since I don't have parents..and that night driving to get food, a large owl flew in my side and kept up with the car..I knew then it didn't matter what others said .. and finally started my personal relationship with her and I honestly barely nothing but love and complete compassion, and relief. Now I just talk to her while doing anything really. ❤️

This morning, between sleep and wake, she came to me. It felt like a dream but I know I was awake. I didn't know anything about her prior to this morning. She told me to call her Mama Muerte. She guided me in such a profound way, I felt only love!!! I have never worked with a Saint before. I am very happy to have found your video. Thank you for making this very informative video. I’ve been feeling very called to her for a while and more so as of lately but didn’t really know where to start. I remember as a child when I seen a grim reaper I was always extremely drawn to it. I had a weird thing about grim reapers. I wouldn’t say obsession lol but I was always called to reapers. And now as an adult, honestly now I know why. I’ve been interested in the idea of working with Santa Muerte off and on for a while, and recently I’ve been interested in cunning magic and working with saints, and she’s one of the first that came to mind. I also thank you for clarifying that anyone can work with her. I know cultural appropriation is a serious matter and I would never intentionally do such a thing, but I also know she is a saint, and that the saints hear the prayers of all, regardless of race, ethnicity, sexuality, or gender. This was very helpful

I just remember when I was 17 I did schrooms. When I tried to sleep that night I kept seeing skull heads. This was in the 80s and people were really not into skull heads at that time. Hakate is European, and traditions of connecting with her have been lost, unlike in South America. In Latin America connections to her are strong.

I've always been obsessed with skulls and death. Now that I know of her I know she's been around my whole life. The other day I was upset and I don't have a good relationship with my parents and I was just wishing I had a better mom and I was tryna shake the negative I was feeling and idk. I just got that feeling you get when you get a long hug and I got this image of a skull in robes wrapping her robes around me. It was beautiful.
She really can be a very comforting and motherly presence.
