What's 'chrome powder', a powder coat of some sort? Can you actually use the beaters after they are coated like that? I have to restore my Hobart C10 whip and bowl and am considering tinning... As for running indeed that motor is amazingly smooth!
Yes chrome powder, it usually gets a clear coat which ruins the chrome effect, but in many cases it needs it for durability. I think it will be just fine on the beaters, it wont chip or flake off. If used on parts subjected to weather and UV, it will eventually tarnish, although I have a wheel I coated and never cleared sitting outside for a few years and still looks pretty good. I feel it will be good enough on the beaters, but had to do something with them irregardless, they were pretty rusty
Do you know of anyone else who does these restorations? I have a Hamilton model c and a mixmaster model 10a that is like to have restored.
You can check my facebook page under notes, I have a list of folks you can check with. Its a small list, but they all do excellent work!
Morning. What do I use to replace that flimsy gasket that is disintegrated in my mixer?
Thanks, Jim
I have the same mixer and wondered where can I have mine restored
