I believe te is similar age to me, and i remember back in 2000, i used to think the same way and have the attitude of phonte in these rhymes, when I was enthusiastic about hiphop, held bit of a grudge to the mainstream, proud of enjoying underground/non-mainstream songs etc. both 9th and te were extremely talented even in the early days.
