So.... in regards to your subtle name drop of TRSY, I have been there at least 10 times, usually to meet up with friends, but I find their food to be typically gross aside from breakfast (mind you, I have a food allergy that limits my choices). I stayed here at ERC Thanksgiving week of '21 and literally had zero complaints about the food. It was actually amazing and was one of the reasons I won't go back to the other one now. Really looking forward to trying out Magna when I come again in April. Thanks for the video
Well, I was pretty clear who I'd stick with above. Don't get me wrong TRSY has its good things. The scenery and nature and peace there is second to none. The property is spread out and low to the ground. Not much chance of an ocean view there aside from a very few top floor rooms and Helios restaurant, though. I had just played TRSY out and wanted to find something new and ERC offered what I personally was looking for. A room where I could hear the surf from bed, watch the sunrise from my balcony, and enjoy different and better food options. I wanted a true adults only setting. TRSY has its own amenities, but some activities are over on the family friendly side, so there's usually a bunch of kids at things like the White Party and things like that. TRSY is newer, so rooms are more modern. ERC could use an update. But I tell you, I'd honestly pick ERC every time between the two.
Great video. Luv all inclusive resorts. We were just down the road from there on our honeymoon many moons ago. The key to mediocre vacations is to stay buzzed. 😜 Take care. Safe travels. Hope you both got over your colds.
Thanks so much! Oh how cool, where did you go for your honeymoon? Hahaha that's a great tip 🤣 and thanks so much - we're finally almost feeling 100% That one knocked us down for the count....
@@lifererouted very glad to hear. We stayed at the Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun. Very nice place and the people of Mexico have always been amazing everywhere we’ve stayed.
We have been to ERC many times, but not in the last few years as we have been RVing instead. We have always had a great experience there, that being said you are not the only ones who have stated that something is missing as of late. And oh yea the swim out room is a must!!!!!!!! Thanks for the video.
@@lifereroutedI’m very confused by your statement about Valentin Imperial (Riveria Maya) because VIRM is significantly more expensive than ERC. I’m seeing prices right now that are nearly double for a swim up at VIRM vs ERC.
We have been to ERC twice. We were there the last week of October 2022. We love it there , mostly due to the excellent service. That being said , we have excellent meals however , we don’t go to the Italian place. On the other hand , I had a really bad experience at the Sports Bar. We had great food at the Kitchen Table, the Grill , the French restaurant and the Las Olas.
I'm planning a trip there for Dec 2023 for my and my wife. I want to know the list of resorts that you know is better especially at a cheaper price point. Please let us know thanks!
Good question! The prices vary a ton and have changed a lot over the years. We still prefer Valentin Imperial Maya over all of them but price depends on when you go.
We have been to this resort every Feb for the last 7 yrs. Back this Feb, first time since covid. We always book swim-out Excellence club. Love the coffee shop and most of the restaurants. Our favs are Basmati, Mexican, French and the buffet (clubhouse from room svce).
You kids have way too much fun!! Gail and I do something like that but, not to the extent you youngsters do. Ours consists of an annual RV trip with the Pinnacle to Destin, FL in late March to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This March will be our 48th!
It warms my heart to see an ICU nurse relaxing on vacation! 😍You've definitely earned it the past 2 years Steph! Riviera Maya is beautiful! We tend to pick resorts with kitchens because I feel like we can't eat our money's worth at an all-inclusive. 😆 Plus, we can buy our own IPAs at grocery stores!
Good to see a different view of life, Leaving the RV for Vacation. I think what many people dont understand is, your RV life is Real Life, not vacation everyday. Hope you really enjoyed your getaway!!!

Hey trying to decide between TRSY and ERC? What would you say are the pros/cons of each?

Hi!! Thank you for the review!! May I ask, where are you from?

We may have to come back but we're big fans of Valentin Imperial. We still had a great time though! Thanks, Wayne!

Thanks for bringing us along!

How did the food compare here Vs your previous resorts?
We were honestly pretty disappointed in the food compared to the other resorts we'd been at!
@@lifererouted which resort had the best food?
Really depends on your preferences! Mostly the same across the board, Jamaica had really good seafood (and a lot of it!)
Is the ocean water clean and clear?
I was a little murky when we were there

We may have been there at the wrong time. It was still a great place!
Can you please let me know how the weather was in late October? Any rain? Was it cold or still hot and humid? Thank you!

Beautiful! Wish I was there right now
You and me both!
Wow, so nice, so different, so where did you leave the trailer?
Back home in Indiana!

Good to know! Thanks so much for watching, Cathy!
What price range are the all exclusive trips
Just depends on the time of year etc.
Awesome. Thanks
You're welcome, Betty Jo!!
😎👍🌅🌊🌊🌊 Looked amazing!! Sun, pools, bars!! 🍻Hard to beat that!
Another outstanding video. Safe travels!
It was a good place! Thanks, Will!
HAHAHA Wife not included ;-) It looks like a fabulous place! Mediocre food is such a bummer. Glad they had great service. Safe travels my friends!
Thank you so much, Michelle! Hope you guys are staying warm!!

That sounds like fun too, Dale!! Have fun!
State Department issued a warning about going there 2 weeks ago. So there is a current advisory out about security in that region.
Good to know!

Thank you so much!! Ooo I love that idea! It was nice having some different beer options this round!
Man, I wish I was rich.
😂
Great video guys 👍
Had a blast with you all there 😎☀️🌊
Thanks so much John! We did too, so glad we all made it work this year 🥰
Wow! What fun! So beautiful! I've never heard of a swim out room. I love it. Thanks so much for bringing us along. See you next time! Jane in SC ❤️ 🙏
Thank you 🤗

You're exactly right! We feel so lucky to get to live the full-time RV life, but we definitely need a break every now and then! Thanks so much friend!
