YG never did her well (never really appreciated her - and she got so much hate early on because she was "chubby") and wouldn't let her go solo even when 2NE1 was on that long hiatus. Then she went to her second company and that went to a lawsuit (plus gave her a mediocre song). Now she's with her own company (plus signed with Viva for Phillipines releases). This is actually a great song that suits her so well (Lovely was nice but it was never going to sell that well). I just hope Koreans will actually pay attention. I will say that it takes a lot of money for production and promotions so she is kind of in a bind here.
@@karinaraline it's a 1 year old company. Literally a small company so that's expected. But Minzy is also doing everything on her own to avoid unnecessary expenses. I mean she has the talent to even dare write her own lyrics and do her own choreographies, so they're just utilizing her skills. She would hire better people if she gets bigger that's why we need to constantly support her.

After watching the live and the MV, the breakdance is good but the cameraman really made it look like it was bad in the MV ( I don't remember how we call that part)
I still wanted her to do her popping, the music was so right for it, like her cover for Whoa. I loved the final move for the dance break in the live, where she moved all her muscle to the music, Finest moment of the performance for me. I also like how the Choreo started the sliding was really nicely done and executed.

I think minzy wants to experiment with different genres and style, now she has so much freedom in exploring different aspects like production, writing, choreography, styling,etc. She's still young and this is the time to check what can go wrong and what works for her company.

Sonically, I don’t feel like there’s anything wrong with this song. Some said the mixing is bad but I don’t see/hear it. To me this sounds perfect. I agree that the choreography is not the best and the video lacks quality because of the budget.

Okay been watching her since her solo debut years ago. I supported her because I love music and thought she has paid her dues in the industry. But this comeback is on another level. I genuinely like the song and video. I hope she promotes it. Not only in the conventional way of music shows but with UA-camrs and content creators. Times have changed and you no longer need big machines behind you to song succeed. Create your own listeners and audience from scratch by being consistent and collaborating with other artists. The power is in the hand of the creator now.

I’m like a new blackjack… I’ve known 2ne1 for a while and liked them, but this time I think i’m really becoming a fan… Minzy is my bias and I think she’s so talented and passionate about her dancing and singing, i feel so proud that she now has creative control over her talent and career. I heard 2ne1 was having trouble with yg, not giving them much comebacks as they deserve and they were always on hiatus… I think they were majorly mistreated and they are queens who deserve more than what they had. I don’t understand how yg could be unfair to their artists, especially with 2ne1 who is so talented and full of character and charisma. I feel so sad that 2ne1 disbanded because they are so unique and there will never be another 2ne1 in kpop. But at the same time, i just feel so happy for each one of them especially minzy because they are all out of that misery and now have control over their own career and release music in their own terms.
I will be supporting each one of 2ne1 members forever with the hope that with a great miracle, 2ne1 could come back with new songs as a group. They’re great at solos but putting them all together is very powerful for me… ❤❤
