I had a CB750F2 from 1977 to 1981. Not many people knows about that bike. I made my longest trip with it. From Québec to Wyoming to California to Michigan to Québec, not counting the so many others thousands miles short trips. It had exactly the some colors as the one on this video.

The F2 was the 2nd gen, 750F. 1st gen was the 75-76 750F. They had one one here. I believe it was a 76yrl one. I have a 75 that now has 330k miles on her!!!

      @@winkeemanley1820 I think we were talking about the Honda CB 750 F SOHC model. 1975-1976=CB 750F-1, 1977-1978= CB750F-2.

in my opinion, the CB's were the best street bikes Honda produced. The salesmen put a glass of water on the seat while the bike was running to demonstrate how smooth they ran.

I agree. They're really smooth. I have a 1975 Honda CB750 that I use as my daily rider. If I try that glass of water trick with my Moto Guzzi V7, I'd be cleaning up broken glass.

I ride this bike all day long. I mean all day. Ate lunch on it. I was 15 years old. No licence. I pulled wheelies on it

My first street bike! Mine had a Kirker 4-1 header, but was bone stock otherwise and it hauled ass... especially for a 16yr old!🔥🔥🔥🤘

I owned the same bike in deep maroon, bought new in '77. I kept it stock except for changing sprockets to correct an over "revvy" top gear at cruising speeds. I didn't like the buzzing image in mirrors. It handled the new gearing very well, though a bit short on low-end torque. Fast forward to today, I ride a 2012 Kawi Z1000. Crotch Rocket with upright seating position. Immensely powered 140 hp inline fuel injected Four, 6 spd. I had same gearing issues when I bought it. At (legal) highway speeds, I kept trying to upshift two more gears when already in 6th! I brought it back to Dealer following week & had both sprockets changed. That brought cruising RPMs down about 1,000 (it needed to!) & yes, the monster Torque handles the taller gearing very easily, never feels unsorted!

All the best, I totally agree, it brings me a lot of joy seeing the bikes I loved in the 80's. I hope you make a good recovery. If you're a fan of the Kawasaki Z1 you might enjoy watching some of Johnny's Vintage Motorcycles videos. I'm just glad there are enthusiasts that save these great bikes and keep their originality, mind you it can make the cost a bit unattainable.

I love the 1975 Honda CB750F in Sunburst Orange. Please don't refer to the petrol tank as the 'coffin style' petrol tank, it kind of detracts from the aesthetics of its classic appeal. My favourite petrol tank is the arched type they used on the 1981 Suzuki GSX1100E. I guess the coffin style tank does describe the early CB750F petrol tank but I reckon the flat topped box tank sounds a little less gloomy. It was just an observation whilst listening to one of your videos. Truly love your work and can't thank you enough for saving these awesome classics.
    Regards GARY

I rode one of those first. KZ900 absolute Torque Monster! I was 17 shopping for a new bike in '77. They wanted considerably more for the Kawi, so I settled on the beautiful Honda. It had mad looks for the time & was unique.

My dad decided to buy himself this bike as a second to his Harley him and I are going to be restoring it, which is mostly just a big clean up well he’s been telling me after I turn 18 and learn on it I may be able to keep it graduation gift? Hopefully. I can’t even ride the bike and I get it running long enough to hear the engine and damn if he doesn’t give it to me I’ll need to buy my own
