I was working a 3- to 11 shift, I didn't make it home, I was lucky that had friends nearby and stayed there overnight.

Repent and put your trust in Jesus.
We've all sinned and deserve Hell.
Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected, defeating death and sin.
Since we broke the law, Jesus paid our fine. Since he paid it, we can be let go.
We must repent and trust in Jesus to be saved.

This is when the news started to sensationalize every single storm, big or insignificant. These days, everyone has 4wd, roads are plowed around the clock, yet everyone panics and wipes out the bread aisle at the suggestion of 6" of snow. People love to panic...it makes them feel important.

most cars back then were rear-wheel drive which is much harder to drive in snow & ice.

It wasn't so much the snowfall, but the wind. Some drifts were upwards of 3 feet.

The Columbus Dispatch told the paperboys not to deliver, I finished my route anyway. The customers were surprised and happy to receive the newspaper. It was fun!

The cleveland plain dealer should have also cold service for the day instead all I got were some people batching about how their papers were wet.

I remember the winters of 77, and 78. The country road we lived on , was like driving in a tunnel because there wasn’t anywhere else to put the snow, and the mail, and paper was delivered into a hole in the snow, since we didn’t know where our rural mailbox was in the snow bank

I had a similar problem I was delivering the cleveland plain dealer through that mess and some neighbors called and complained that their papers were wet.

Repent and trust in Jesus. Hes the only way. We deserve Hell because weve sinned. Lied, lusted stolen, etc. But God sent his son to die on the cross and rise out of the grave. We can receive forgiveness from Jesus. Repent and put your trust in him.

I remember the winter of 72-73 we had hardly any snow at all. It is infrequent but it does happen. Winter 2011-2012 was the same here in southern NE.

I was 25 yrs old two kids, it dumped on us in kendallville in, it we like in areas two feet high them just a mile away 8 feet high, at the time i lived in Bodenhafer addition Kendallville, I started digging out driveway then told community they said they could not get to us for a week so the whole addition just started to dig out, i quit digging and decied to make hot chocolate and Coffee was able to take it to all we dug two miles to the main road, it was in the newsun paper of kville, what made it so bad was the rain came first then it froze and then the snow, so when you tried to move it you could not because of the ice , rain ice snow ,it was bad, but what amazes me today is we get a little snow and people freak out , just look out the window and say oh a little snow again lol

I lived through it at nantasket beach /hull mass I was 18 yrs old. To this day I have a huge collection of pictures newspapers and memorabilia. As far as I'm concerned, no storm has yet matched it. I witnessed at high tide at 10 :50 pm on Feb 6th with steady 88 mph winds gusts over 120 mph water pouring down the road from the beach. One moment a deep snowy road became 6ft deep saltwater and waves rolling by to meet the Bayside. Curfew stayed for 10 days and the military ran the town. Every February on the 6th I remember her. Started 10 am on the 6th , Wednesday morning the 8th at 9 am the clouds parted and the sun came out but was extremely windy for 2 more days. There was a mountain of snow at the high school that finally disappeared the week of 4th of July. It was a big attraction in the town

Repent and trust in Jesus. we deserve Hell for our sins. For example lying, lusing, saying God's name as a cuss word and stealing our just some examples of sin which we can all admit to doing at least one of those. For our sin we deserve death and Hell, but there is a way out. Repent anf trust in Jesus and you will be saved. Repentence is turning from sin. So repent and trust in Jesus. He will save you from Hell, and instead give you eternal life in Heaven.
