But what's the reason for that? I heard in an interview with the former Bulls' fitness coach (unfortunately can't find it), that it's absolutely the fault of the ligaments or the equipment. In the past, they trained with weights (just like Lavar in the video with his kids) or bodyweight exercises. This allowed the muscles to develop better and protect the tendons. Nowadays, hardly any weight is used, which would explain the overall injury situation.
