I absolutely love these videos you do. I just got my GR86 10th anniversary edition. And while I love everything that it has and dont have any plans to change anything in it for the short term, I still watch all of these in case I ever do feel like changing things around. It's fun learning, and you do a really good job with showing things here in detail.
It's good that it can be done without irreversibly modifying anything, but a shame it's not compatible with the trunk button and it sticks out so far. We should be getting this effect from the factory with a part the same size as the stock trim.

Check if the part is a defect. Maybe check the line for the dim light. I checked mine if the light is working correctly by connecting a 12v line directly to the light bar. 😅 Or check the couplers, maybe the terminals are not in tact.
I totally agree with you. The red light color is also a little off with the tail lights. I'm seeing some developers making ones with the trunk button still there. Can't wait to try them out.

What did you do to make the position light go on?
What exhaust do you have installed?
I have the GR Catback exhaust, got the dealer option from the dealer.
I seen this already and not a fan of it. It not only stick out way too much but takes away the trunks button, getting there but needs improvement
