Thanks a lot! I'd always thought the superflat world as a way to just explode slimes on creative mode, but after watching a lot of your videos I realised I was wrong! Thanks, really, this has motivated me to play some superflat.

Decided to try out superflat on a modpack I've been playing. If you have the patience, I find the fastest way to deal with slimes is to turn them all into their smallest form and then trap them somewhere. Had the added benefit of effectively preventing all hostile mob spawns the entire time as well, at least when I went through.
Idea: mojang should allow for multiple biome superflat, and in 1.18 you _can_ find mineshafts and geodes, but select the overworld preset first or you wont find any.
The problem with this is that the main purpose of superflat is to make stuff in creative mode, and changing the blocks that you stand on would complicate making things in creative
@@QuickAttack283 Am I the only one who’s heard of the Overworld preset? (Gives you everything you need to beat the game normally but no cherry trees or scaffolding)
Just watched that Flatworld manhunt you were featured in and decided to do a superflat survival, so glad to find this video so I can get all the structures!
I’ve just got into superflat after watching your videos for about a year and I’m very inspired by your world and how vast it is keep up the good work 🎉
I’ve been searching around to figure some little things out. Start in 1.8 and get bunnies. Breed them so the babies don’t despawn. You’re going to want to use water around the spawn point. Die a couple times without a bed and you can find the spawn chunk(it’s not always 0,0,0). Then fill with water 160 blocks in each direction of that chunk to prevent passive mobs capping the spawns. If there’s 12 passive mobs in the spawn chunks passive mobs won’t spawn anywhere in the world. Update to 1.13 and fish up some name tags. Build a water pond in the sky at 56 to spawn squid and name tag them. Update to 1.17.1 to get axolotyl. Bucket them up to save them. I got 4 so I can breed them later. And then I updated to 1.18. Joined, saved and exited. Updated to 1.20.6(newest at time of writing) and then deleted all the chunks other than the spawn chunks with water and outside of my little town where I set up base with an application to reset them. I now have all extinct mobs, fixed passive mob spawning, and updated to newest version. I hope this helps. (I noticed that squid don’t spawn in 1.12 but spawned in 1.13. Also fishing name tags were super rare until I updated to 1.13. Now the game begins :D
I’m already at 61 days in my world :,) I haven’t planned to go to the end but I already built a huge platform w a pretty big starter spawn build with villagers and a few farms and I’m loving it!!
This video is really nice, I did attempt to play superflat myself, I've always been in love with it but didn't know how to get the "extinct" mobs, thanks for helping out looking forward to start a new and improved superflat world
I needed my early base village to have a lot of iron golems to protect me from slimes. This was better for me since i didnt have a iron farm and i could potentially pick the iron when they die or simply kill them myself. So I didnt sleep one night and made a zombie pick up some slime balls and trapped it in a village house where villagers could see it. Simply an iron farm in the village that keeps me safe also. I had >5 iron golems at all times around the village it was amazing
i think a video on how to plan a mega base would be very useful for everyone even if they don't play superflat also videos on how to stay motivated and other stuff that can be used in normal survival or different challenges
6:37 fortune doesn’t make a difference. They always drop 3 if they dropped less then that would be a problem for moving and if it dropped more then just do 1. get 1 bookshelf 2. break it for more books 3. craft 1 bookshelf and keep extra books 4. repeat and use more books to craft more bookshelfs in tine
TIP: If you start your new superflat world, find a village and gather what your basic needs. THEN, immediately find the stronghold then find a village that is near to it. The reason why is because, you'll be needing the portal for sand and gravel farm, plus Enderman XP farm and many more. It's a huge advantage if you think of it. I started my 2nd superflat world for this idea. Edit: And by the way, thank you Mogswamp for inspiring us to play in the superflat world! 🙌
Followed these steps to make a new 1.21 world and it worked perfectly! Leads on boats are so fun, I managed to kidnap an entire village population to jumpstart my farms lol

You could thecnically had a backup of your hardcore world, you know copying it every day and putting it somewhere other then the save itself and when you died you could of pasted it, but if you're gonna do this it doesn't makes sense to play hardcore so there is that

A valuable thing for doing superflat (or in general i guess) is to write down the coords for structures and what unique thing they have (like if a village has a blacksmith) so you can go back for them later on and it will be easier to do
Since I'm in bedrock, lemme tell you what I did. 1st, load in and make sure u have an apple in a chest. 2nd of all, make sure that you kill enough zombies to get iron, you need a cauldron and a bucket. After watching this video. i started my journey way back in 1.9, intending to have all the types of minecraft mobs available in superflat. As someone who made my firsr superflat survival world before they added cobble under the gravel in villages and after the nether update, it was nice to have so much cobble and gravel when i otherwise would have to go to the nether to do so, or break down villages as i couldnt find a blacksmith for the life of me in that first world. So far im up to getting an anvil and saving squids after saving all the rabbit variants. Im avoiding the nether and exploring too much to allow for newer generations of structures and biomes once i update so like normal for me im doing it in the most tedious way possible. By smelting down tools and armor i buy, after using them up to breakdown the village in my spawn chunk. I was immediately introduced to the concept of passive mobs in spawn chunks preventing passive mob spawning. Anyway ive been buying shovels for the past week and digging a series of lakes and rivers to cover up slime spawing in the spawn chunks. My original attempt at slime proofing years ago was to place carpet or dig holes in a gridlike patten all over my base because i heard that medium and large slimes couldn't spawn then. It worked and took ages, but making rivers and plazas is so much more fun and quicker. Plus, it looks nice, and i can boat on them. Im not planning on beating the enderdragon anytime soon, so i guess ill keep this updated. Especially about how im purposely making things harder for myself.
