We’ve seen a few creatures from purgatory that defy normal catagories. Maybe there was a whole range of shape shifting monsters and the Leviathan just happens to grow dominant, then so out of control God had to Chuck the whole lot away.

This whole bit is why The Alpha Vampire was such a great villian. He wasn't just powerful and charismatic (thanks to the actor), he was very smart. Doesn't jump to conclusions, didn't kill the boys outright, had Leviathan kryptonite despite being allies, and would help the boys without any fuss. Why? It's the smart thing to do.

Oh, what beautiful villains the Leviathans could've been! But instead, we get the monster of the week extended for an entirely wasted season. Wouldn't it have been better to have Eve be a Leviathan with such rich potential and give her the ability to resurrect herself (which is why phoenix ash harms her)? But instead we have just another basic monster, as Crowley pointed out. Hard to stomp, sure. But just another basic monster nevertheless!

There are literally tons of artifacts that would allow hunters to not only level the playing field against monsters but will let humans just dominate the playing field entirely. The men of letters for example had a buttload of knowledge but ofc they just had keep that shit to themselves. Not to mention the British branch because when the Apocalypse was happening in America, they didn't interfere because they didn't want to "overextend their boundaries." Maybe she was a mutated leviathan that had her own agenda. She and the leviathan obviously didn't seem to get along that well. The most confusing thing is how phoenix ash is deadly to her, but not to the leviathans.
Well she most likely got that weakness from being a mutated leviathan, the mutation could be that eve in difference from a regular leviathan had a sort of soul. Which gave her the ability to give birth and change other living things. Leviathan does not possess a soul instead they are something else, something god made pre souls. They are most likely something more of a angel grace but just really warped and dark.
The archangels could effortlessly and instantly annihilate the Leviathans anybody that would argue against that is foolish. I mean, with their combined might of all four of them they weakened the Darkness, who is even more powerful than God himself. They are in fact older than the Leviathan as well, Death stated “before there was light, existence, God and his archangels, there was the Darkness” and God called them the “stuff of Primordial creation”.

There are literally tons of artifacts that would allow hunters to not only level the playing field against monsters but will let humans just dominate the playing field entirely. The men of letters for example had a buttload of knowledge but ofc they just had keep that shit to themselves. Not to mention the British branch because when the Apocalypse was happening in America, they didn't interfere because they didn't want to "overextend their boundaries." Well, I didn't know the world and the British had a separate living space.

Maybe she was a mutated leviathan that had her own agenda. She and the leviathan obviously didn't seem to get along that well. The most confusing thing is how phoenix ash is deadly to her, but not to the leviathans.
Well she most likely got that weakness from being a mutated leviathan, the mutation could be that eve in difference from a regular leviathan had a sort of soul. Which gave her the ability to give birth and change other living things. Leviathan does not possess a soul instead they are something else, something god made pre souls.
