This album means a lot to me. It's perfect imo. Chino is a legend!
It definitely is!
Not sure if anyone has said this already, but every time you say the male vocals on the album sound like a different singer, well that's because it is! His name is Rob Crow and he's one-half of a band called Pinback (and many, many other bands too!) You should totally take a gander through their discography, I'm sure you'll like them! They're an interesting and hook-filled mix of heavy and melodic, all in a poppy, indie rock package. I absolutely ADORE them.
A few others have mentioned that too! I knew those vocals sounded pretty different from Chino's typical voice, haha. I'll have to check out Pinback now.
Don't forget about Deftones' albums "B-Sides and Rarities" and "Covers"! They are awesome!
For sure hidden gems
Please Please Please the Morrisey cover is dope. Is Can't Even Breathe on B-Sides?
@@Errcyco That's just one of the missing songs on B-Sides. No Can't Even Breathe, Teething, To Have And To Hold or Lovers
Team Sleep has a bunch of demo’s that are worth looking into. Death By Plane is my favorite.
I second this- "Death by Plane" is a masterpiece. I was hoping it would be the album closer, but at least it's still out there on YT.
The unmastered team sleep album is much better. kinda a shame the mike patton collab never made the final version
my fav is Natalie Portman
Scarf Bitch is a great team sleep b-side
Stripped down, minimalist and shoegaze perfectly sums up this album. Blvd Nights and Live from the Stage are my two favorites. Team Sleep is a solid side project that most people seem to have forgotten so I'm very happy for your review. This took me back to laying on my bedroom floor with my headphones listening to the album on repeat the day it came out. Palms and Crosses are good as well, the former should've just been called Team Sleep II and the ladder is more gothic, you can definitely hear the Duran Duran, Cure and Depeche Mode influences on it. I'm excited to see you delve deeper into Chino's discography.
Yeah, I'm really curious to hear Palms and Crosses now. The way people keep describing Crosses I think I'm gonna love it...
I traveled from Indianapolis to Chicago after work in one night just to see them live. Worth everything. Chino jumped off stage right in front of me. People behind me were rushing in, and I may have gotten a little (lot) of chino sweat on me… single greatest music night of my life, Nobody’s getting close to him at a Deftones show
Palms is really cool. I think some of the dudes on ISIS are in that project I think
@@adamparker4580 Saw Deftones at the Roxy in LA in 2003 and at Family Values around 2009. Both times he jumped off the stage with the mic and sang Engine No. 9 while crowd surfing. Chino is an absolute legend!
I bought this CD back in the day for two reasons: Chino on vocals and Zach Hill on drums. I got to see them tour this album. Great show.
You would love the 90s “trip hop” artists, which were also a very experimental side of music for the real music aficionados of the era. I highly highly highly recommend listening to Portishead. I’d love to see you react as it will take you down a whole new fun adventure more online with the intersection of underground electronic and rock.
I've heard a few tracks from Portishead and really enjoy what I've heard so far! I'm not all that familiar with their entire discography though so I'll certainly consider doing a deeper dive into their work.
@Molly Sanborn I 2nd this, I have a feeling you'd really like Portishead.
Another yes to Portishead. Their "Dummy" album is a masterpeice.
"Your Skull is Red" might be my favorite song Chino has ever been involved in...and I'm a massive Deftones fan.
Love your videos - as a long time Deftones fan it’s great to witness someone fall deep for the music they make. The Team Sleep album is a special record and whilst it is not Deftones it is another wonderful companion to their family tree. This side project gave us all a glimpse of what we all knew which is that there was more to Chino Moreno musically than the sophisticated guitar heavy rock he was known for at that point in his career. On “Princeton Review,” “Our Ride to the Rectory,” “Elizabeth” and “11/11” a vocalist called Rob Crow from a band called Pinback - another cool band - also features. In fact he does the full lead vocal on “Princeton Review,” “Elizabeth” and “11/11” with Chino sharing vocals with him on “Our Ride to the Rectory.” Can’t wait for your next batch of videos. It’s so refreshing to see someone speak of the joy music gives them instead of being critical of it. That’s what makes you one of my favourite music related channels to watch.
This comment means a lot, thanks! I started this channel simply because I love music, so I'm glad that translates into the videos. And bonus, it led me to this amazing world of Deftones and their awesome music :)
I love Team Sleep. So good. Definitely give a listen to the woodstock sessions.
Natalie portman version of live from the stage is way better, you should listen to it if you get the chance
Interesting, I'll have to check it out!
Please do! its the original version
Back in the day there were whispers of Chino's side project Team Sleep but never any official announcements - just bootlegs of some songs floating around the internet. That went on for years so when Team Sleep was finally released it felt bizarre because it was like possessing a mythical object.
Love your reaction Molly. I like the way you feel and process the music.
Next stop crosses. Grettings from 🇲🇽🇲🇽
Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for watching :)
A truly one of a kind album and a must listen for deftones fans, I'd love for them to make a new record. They're not doing anything right now but they haven't officially broken up so there's hope. Blvd nights was actually my most played song on Spotify this year haha.
A new album from them would be so awesome! Blvd Nights is one of my favorites too, such a great track.
@@mollyesanborn it truly is, the only problem I have with that song is that it's too short. Whenever it ends I'm like nah please keep going 😂
Definitely NOT a must listen to if a Deftones fan. Completely optional.
@@jackoff1826 Correction. If you're a true deftones fan you should listen to This album 😂
I'm kinda dumb. I always liked Deftones. Almost 2 years ago, spotify recommended me Team Sleep, and i started to listen to it. I was impressed by the similarity with Df and it took me almost an entire year to realize it's a side-band with the singer -.-
team sleep has been my favorite band to listen from 2020 to now.
Princeton Review is my favorite, It's a calm song with a story, It's easy to almost ignore this gem if someone don't listen to it entirely. Also Ever, Blvd nights, Tomb of liega, Ever since ww1, Ataraxia. Lately i've been sticked a lot on King Diamond. This band is amazing and i'm super sad to have discovered them when i'm 32 and not 15.
I can see why you never figured that out though, Team Sleep really does have quite a different sound to it than Deftones! Especially since some of the tracks like Princeton Review have vocalists other than Chino. Great project, I'm right there with you in wishing I had known about it earlier. Better late than never though I guess.
Mary Timony sang on Tomb of Ligeia and King Diamond, and she’s an amazing artist in her own right. She had her own band in the mid 90s called Helium, and she had a few solo albums of her own. She’s a great guitarist and songwriter. If you like 90s alternative/grunge/indie you would like her stuff.
Great reaction Molly!
Thank you for letting me know the singer! I've never heard of her or Helium before, I'll have to give her stuff a listen.
The two songs featuring her seemed to sound the best on this album.
The title tomb of Ligeia is a reference to the Edgar Allen Poe story ligeia
@@mollyesanborn Start with their debut The Dirt of Luck
Man I love this album, happy you did a reaction, and glad you digged the vibe ❤
Thanks for watching! :)
I love your reaction. Very meticulous. Chino has also two other projects (Crosses aka +++, and Palms). I hope you review them some day.
So glad you got something out of the video! I plan on doing reactions for Palms and Crosses too, I can't wait to hear them.
Teenager and Lucky You were actually written by the DJ (DJ Crook) of team sleep. Chino isn't the only singer, there's another male singer and a female singer (not part of the band just features for several tracks). It's definitely a strange one lol. I haven't listened to it but supposedly there are team sleep demos with early and different versions of some of the songs, along with songs that never got released, plus a song with Mike Patton for faith no more called Kool-aid or something like that.
Interesting, that explains the similarities with Team Sleep to Lucky You that I was hearing. I'm curious to hear those demos now, I bet they sound pretty wild!
@@mollyesanborn Yeah! as i said i havent heard it but some people think the demos are actually better than the final album, so i should probably listen to them too, considering i do like this album
I love the album because it introduced new songs that weren’t on the demos and it was great to finally have something after years of waiting! the demos that were leaked/released on MySpace really felt like something totally different from deftones (which was great). They have a certain raw/coolness to them.
You need to check out team sleep woodstock sessions. All these songs but live. Songs sound much different than album versions. Would love to see your reaction to this. You won't be disappointed. Love all your deftones reactions!!
YES
I second this! As good as this album is, I think the Woodstock sessions definitely give a bump up to some of these songs, and are better versions imo. An absolute gem!
I remember rumors about Chino's side project back in the day. Randomly I got a disk of the unreleased album, and really liked it. After the Official album dropped in 05, there have been a lot of Demos put out that expand their style with acoustic versions and re-recordings. Some quick favorites would be Natalie Portman (original concept for Live From the Stage), Mercedes, Death by Plane, Cambodia (Foreign Flag), Kool Aid Party, Let's go and Format.
This is just such a good night time album to put on.
Nice video, plz next Crosses
I plan on doing a Crosses reaction too, I'm excited to hear it!
@@mollyesanborn excellent!, i'll be waiting for it!
aww. you nailed it. ❤ i liuv your review. Spot on, on everything
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Pinback is an underrated band with lot's of catchy tunes. worth checking out.
Summer in Abaddon is a perfect album.
I appreciate this. You're the coolest. I love this album all the way through. When the Fall-Winter comes, I like to listen to Team Sleep while working on a creative project, or driving in the rain/snow. It's soothing for me. Thank you for taking out the time to listen. I wish you the best.
Thanks, so glad you enjoyed the video! Team Sleep is great, their music really highlights a soothing sound to Chino's musical side that, as you said, is perfect for listening to while working on something or driving.
@@mollyesanborn Yup!
So true, I love to listen to this album while it’s snowy
Yooo im so early. Love ur vids
Thanks for watching! :)
On this album they have Zach Hill from Hella on drums, which is probably the best technical/math-rock drummer on earth. Also, Rob Crow from Pinback sings vocals on this album.
His work on Death Grips is phenomenal
sounds like I might have to give Death Grips a listen soon!
@@frightenedsoul OH DUH! How can I forget Death Grips! Super Beast at what Zach Hill does with DG!
@@mollyesanborn oh boy, you're not ready :D
So glad you reacted to this! Team Sleep is such a fascinating part of Chino's career and really shows a different side of him - definitely his softer side and his wild experimental streak. This album has kind of a weird history. It was originally supposed to come out after White Pony but an unmastered demo version leaked in 2002. Several songs ended up getting scrapped or changed around as they retooled it. You noted the vocals don't always sound like Chino. He shares some vocal duties on this one: Princeton Review, the chorus on Our Ride to the Rectory, Elizabeth and 11-Nov (actually called 11-11, Spotify renamed it for some reason) all feature vocals from Rob Crow, a singer of an indie band called Pinback, while Tomb of Liegia and King Diamond feature vocals from Mary Timony, who was in a band called Helium. Also, a note on Live From the Stage - the live version features Chino's vocals much more prominently, which you can hear on the album Woodstock Sessions Vol. 4. I also definitely recommend checking out the unmastered album, which you can find on UA-cam, as there are some really awesome songs like Death By Plane, Appollonia and Kool-Aid Party that unfortunately didn't make the cut here.
That's interesting, thanks for letting me know! I knew those vocals sounded really different on a few of the tracks, makes sense that there was another male vocalist. I'll definitely have to check out the demo version of this album and the tracks that you mentioned were cut from the final version.
The studio version of Iceache is definitely one of my favourite Team Sleep songs that never made it onto the official album. Idk how it was released, but I know at least one UA-cam channel (deftones triad) uploaded it. The raw unedited version is cool too, but Chino's vocal performance on that studio version is just simply amazing. Such a powerful sound, like he's just slowly breaking down until the end of the song where himself and the instruments just lose it.
Dang, I just listened to the deftones triad upload of Iceache... how did they not put that on the album?! Fantastic, I love Chino's vocal delivery. Just packed with emotion. The last half of this track is insane!
@@mollyesanborn Lol yeah, "how did they not put that on the album?!" is this band's middle name.
Nice! Glad to see you giving this one a listen. Love this album. Like many others here I saw them live after this album was released and I was blown away by Zach Hill's drumming. Also enjoyed when Chino did the rap from Revenge of the Nerds in between songs. Hope they pick things back up at some point.
Hey!
Love your Deftones reactions... Don't know there but here in my country is very difficult to find or meet a girl who likes this band. I don't know Molly, I think i'm love with you. HAHAHA.
Best wishes! Your channel is great.
Thanks for watching! Deftones is amazing, I'm so glad I've gotten into their music and it's introduced me to other stuff I never would have known about, projects like Team Sleep for example. Ataraxia is my favorite track off this album too, such a great song!
Holy moly, this video is almost a month old and I just found out about it! How in the world did I miss this? ^^'
You probably already know by now, but Chino is not the only male singer on this record: Rob Crow sings on some of the tracks, and it was funny to see how you immediately recognized something different was happeing with the vocals on songs such as Princeton Review, despite not knowing there was another singer on the album ^^
Happy to see you enjoyed Team Sleep and their crazy mix of influences and sounds, to me this is the best out of the three Chino's side projects, but I'm soooo curious about your reactions to the next two (especially Crosses)
I'm super excited to hear Crosses :)
Love Team Sleep! Have been dying for a follow up! You can definitely hear the influence in some Deftones songs such as Teenager and Lucky You. Blvd Nights is another one of those drive at night songs! If you haven't already, give Palms self titled a listen, I think you'll love it seeing as we all love Chino :D
Teenager and Lucky You can almost technically be considered Team Sleep songs because they feature production from DJ Crook, a member of Team Sleep.
Yeah for sure, there are a lot of similarities comparing Team Sleep with Deftones. I plan on giving Palms a listen too, it'll be interesting to hear how that project differs in its sound from Team Sleep.
@@mollyesanborn Crosses is the best Chino side project maybe that first then Palms
As said below, check out Palms! One of my easily repeatable albums!
I plan on it! :)
I haven’t read through all the comments yet, but you’re missing the fact that Rob Crowe from Pinback , and his own bad self, is on vocals for some of these tracks. Chino’s voice blends well with his, but it’s definitely Rob your hearing.
Team Sleep - Demos is my favorite compilation of their material! You should check it out.
I didn't realize they had a demos album, I'll have to give it a listen.
@@mollyesanborn It's pretty bare bones and instrumental, but has cool tracks!
Yes, didnt have to wait that long for this. Love your channel and personally enjoy the Deftones and others also. I think we had the same initial first reaction. It's a slower pace than deftones. Waiting for that heavy to come in, it's a great album just took some listens to take it all and love it. And Chino vocals are 🔥. Very versatile singer. He loves his mixer ,drum beats and ambient noises was the root of most Team Sleep songs. Thanks again. 🤘🏾 and Look into the demo tape of this album on YT . raw and good
There actually is another singer on a few of the tracks named Rob Crow of the band Pinback. He does solo vocals on "Princeton Review" and "Elizabeth" and does duo vocals with Chino on "Our Ride To The Rectory" and "11-11". Originally he was just supposed to guest on a song or two but Chino was let's say not as present as he could be towards the end of these sessions, so they had Rob sing a few more.
If your curious about the genesis of this project, it started out in the mid 90's as a project where Chino and one of his childhood friends Todd Wilkinson would record little guitar parts, samples, ambient sounds, etc and then trade those tapes back and forth and try to build off of what the other had started. They later met DJ Crook and started including him in the tape chain. Initially it was supposed to be a more lo-fi approach where the finished product would be cassettes that would be distributed with an underground approach, it wasn't until later that they formed into more of a traditional band and decided to make an album. Zach Hill (the drummer of the band Hella) and Rick Verret (keyboardist/ bassist of the band Tinfed) eventually rounded out the lineup and they started playing live shows around 2001.
Maverick Records quickly signed them and they did a few recording sessions with Deftones producer Terry Date and those sessions eventually leaked and were known online as "Unmasteted Advance". This included rough versions of many of the songs included here and a handful that did not make it to this release (one highlight was their collaboration with singer Mike Patton on the haunting "Kool Aid Party"). Chino & co. did not wind up finishing it up until 2005 when Chino had grown tired of working on "Saturday Night Wrist" and decided to go into Team Sleep world for a bit.
Other than a few stray demos here and there, the only other official followup release was the live release from 2015 "The Woodstock Sessions" which features live renditions of some of these tracks as well as some previously unreleased tracks. I recommend giving that a listen in the future and keep hope alive that they one day return with new material.
Thanks for that! Really cool hearing about how Team Sleep came to be. Yeah, another album from them would be pretty awesome. Hopefully someday soon...
Excellent, loved the analysis from track to track
Awesome, glad you enjoyed it! :)
Yesss I was going you did this too. I just listened to it and I love the track BLVD NIGHTS.. it’s the most Deftonish song from the album and Anaraxia
I bought this album when it came out because I liked the track Ever(Foreign Flag) that I first heard. Being a drummer, I really liked Zack Hill’s live drumming on “Blvd Nights “, “Live From The Stage “ , & “ You’re Skull Is Red”. The mix of live & programmed drumming combined with electronic sound effects & elements of rock and hip hop make for an interesting but good finished product. Just an all around great album.
Well, we love everything Chino does. I love Crosses and Palms but, omg, Team Sleep is amazing. There is a song with Mike Patton, insane! Greetings from Chile, love your channel
Tomb of liegiea might be one of the greatest songs I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. It’s insanely beautiful and haunting all in one fell swoop. God I love chino Morino. He does no wrong.
I love all the projects of chino moreno, this album is great, especially ataraxia
Crosses next plz molly ⚡
I'll get to a Crosses reaction, I promise. Can't wait to hear it!
I think that you really love it
Only been one Crosses album...happily, about to be second soon I think. Take your time and get through all of the bad side projects before Crosses.
@@jackoff1826 its true i think that chino's best side project is crosses definetly
This was cool. Love the Deftones first time hearing this. Awesome sounds.. super ambient and kinda drone-y I like it..
Wow, stumbled upon your vids through the youtube algorithm, blown away by how similar our taste in music is, separated by decades. If you haven't already, go for a dip into Mastodon. Liking what you did of Mars Volta, Deftones and Tool, you'll find a lot to enjoy in their music.
Also, try and dig up the Team Sleep demos, they're on youtube somewhere. A lot more stripped down than the album, no guest vocals. I like them more than the actual album. Especially check out the King Diamond version there. No Pink Cellphone vibes, just a more interesting electronic song.
Glad you found the channel! I'll definitely have to give their demos a listen. And I know Mastodon has been recommended by some others in the comments, I'll have to check out their stuff.
In 2005 I was part of a film crew that filmed Team Sleep in LA at the El Rey, and also an in store session in Sacramento. Those videos can be found on UA-cam under defiant4life page. Check it!
One of my favorite records of all time
The softer voice on this album is actually Rob Crow, not Chino even though they sound pretty similar. Their voices go together very nicely on tracks like 11 nov
those first two tracks are stellar
Your skull is red ❤️
Would love to see you do Portishead's Dummy, which was a big inspiration on this album.
Nice reaction, I'm a huge fan of everything Chino touches. I was lucky enough to see Team Sleep perform on a snowy night in a small club in Seattle (maybe a few hundred people) and it was awesome. I'd definitely recommend checking out Chino's other side projects Crosses and Palms (especially Palms... Chino + members of the band ISIS = gold).
That sounds like it was an amazing experience! Yeah, I can't wait to check out both Palms and Crosses and see what else he brings to the table.
i love this album!
Princeton Review was actually vocalize by Rob Crow of Rob Crow and Pinback with Chino as back up or dual vocal
Also!!!! Zach hill from :Hella: played up until the recorded the Woodstock live album which was Gil Sharone :Dillinger escape plan, Marilyn Manson:
You should react to the live recorded album for team sleep, it feature all of the songs but it’s much better in my opinion.
Glad you liked team sleep! I’d love to see you react to some Brand New
I'll keep them in mind!
hi! i’m a bit late, but on the tracks where you said it didn’t even sound like Chino were the ones that Rob Crow sung on. so, you’re right! it isn’t Chino!
Edit: Rob also worked with Zach Hill, the drummer on this album (and one of the best alive!) on their band called The Ladies
It is a different singer. In Team Sleep both Chino and Rob Crow shared the mic. Plus Mary Timony, the female singer.
You've got to do the Woodstock Sessions now, it's basically the same album with a few new song's on it. However it's all sang entirely by Chino, vs the album where there's multiple people singing on the album. Plus there's a video version of it, if you really want to hunt down all clips. Love the video, keep it up!
This album means so much to me 🖤
Hey Molly, when are we getting the Pinkerton reaction? I've been hyped for it ever since you listened to blue.
I still haven't filmed it, but I will soon! I'm aiming to get it all filmed, edited and posted within the next couple of weeks. I'm so pumped to hear it!
The lead vocal on Princeton Review is actually Rob Crow from Pinback and other side projects of his own. He is also the lead vocal on 11:11.
I really like this album. Glad you did a reaction.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video!
Love team sleep. One of chinos best side works!
Yeah, I really enjoyed this album! A lot of really fun, experimental sounds that they blend together.
Since you love deftones so much you should really check out their biggest influence hum!!! They are one of the most underrated bands of the 90s and all time. You’d prefer an astronaut has their biggest hit and is their most popular album
People have been telling me to check out Hum, I'll have to get on that! :)
Princeton Review and 11- Nov features vocals from Rob Crow who you may be familiar with from the band Pinback.
Also would be cool if you can do a reaction video to some of Deftones Eros demos or Saturday Night Wrists demo’s
Crosses is amazing gotta do that next
I'm looking forward to hearing it!
Absolutely love this side project/band.
Rob crow from pinback i think and his self named work is much softer and omgosh Chino. Heckin Chino dude. This album and woodstock sessions are my top albums of all time. You will catch me more often than not having songs from these albums in my playlists
I've heard a few tracks from the Woodstock Sessions, I'm absolutely going to have to check the whole album out though!
You should react to the live version of Your Skull is Red and Princeton Review!
Deftones and Pinback were two of my favorite bands so this was a dream project when it came out. IIRC, this album had a long, painful recording cycle where an entirely different bootleg album exists. I guess they didn't like how it came out so they recorded it all again.
Btw, a Foxing review/reaction would be a good one if you take requests.
Yeah, I've gotta check out Pinback now! As for Foxing, I've just recently heard of them and have listened to a bit of their music. I'll certainly consider doing a review for them!
i like how theres a different chino project for every mood
I’ve only listened to the album once but there is that one song (King Diamond) that has sticked with me over the last two years and I often listen to this one
King Diamond is such a standout, it's got a really catchy sort of hip-hop style to it. Probably one of my favorites from this album too.
If you like this kind of music I'd love to hear you react to Sneaker Pimps! They have 4 albums and an interesting history.
I've actually heard a bit of their music already, and I do enjoy it! I'll have to dive further into their discography though.
Our Ride to the Rectory was a dual of Chino Moreno and Rob Crow
Would love to see you react to the Ben folds five album "whatever and ever amen"
Our ride to recovery fts Rob crow. He's in a band called Pinback and he has a bunch of solo stuff. They're all amazing
Wasn't expecting a project with Zach Hill here, you should listen to Hella, it's a really good band
The demos are insane. Some songs make me wonder why they never released them. Iceache is sick and there's 2 demo versions. One has heavier vocals. It's almost a Deftones type song. I don't mind that with Team Sleep.
Someone else told me I needed to hear Iceache, so I checked it out. I can't believe it didn't make it on the album! The second half of that track is insane, it really does sound like a Deftones song.
Blvd nights is one the catchiest tunes ever
My appreciation for physical media has been reignited in the past couple years, and now I regret having sold off 95% of my CD collection years ago, which included this album. Thankfully I had the sense to keep my original pressing of White Pony on CD.
one day i’d like to hear your thoughts on car seat headrests’ 2016 release, Teens of Denial
Ooh, I've been dipping my toes into their music and have enjoyed what I've heard so far! I'm not all that familiar with their entire body of work though so I'll definitely have to give their music a thorough listen to.
funny you said ataraxia sounds like lucky you because lucky you was originally a team sleep demo that chino used to make lucky you
Have you heard about Death Grips? i love that band and i will love if you make a video listening to their albums.
No, I haven't heard anything from Death Grips. Now that I know Zach Hill, the drummer from Team Sleep, is also part of Death Grips I'm definitely gonna have to check their stuff out!
They have a live album with a few of the songs from this album called Woodstock Sessions, absolutely incredible performances
I'm definitely planning on checking that out!
Great react! Rob Crow from Pinback sings with chino the last track of the album. Greatings from Brasil.
Thanks for letting me know!

Live From The Stage had a demo version called "Natalie Portman" with a better intro but missing the epic outro. However there is an extended version that is a mash-up of the best parts of both versions.
I'll have to check that extended version out!
After introducing me to the Deftones, I'm going to have to try Team Sleep and Palms!
Elizabeth was also a dual of Chino and Rob
Hey Molly, great reactions! In your Weezer video you mention being a fan of ambient and very cinematic sounding music. I would definitely recommend checking out Interpol if you haven't already. Especially their first two albums! Two of my favorite albums of all time, many of their songs sound like they belong in critically acclaimed films.
Yeah I'm not all that familiar with much of Interpol's music, I'll have to give it a thorough listen.
@@mollyesanborn I hope you love them as much as I do! It may take a few listens but they become addicting haha
I saw team sleep play in a basement in old sacto “scratch 8”
I'll never forget my first time listening to this record '05 freshman year my homie put me on this
When this came out, i enjoyed the difference that Chino was involved with.
Also check out Crosses, another Chino project with more electronic elements.
Absolutely, I'm planning on a reaction to Crosses!
If you’ve never heard of the song Acid Bath, that would make sense. They are so unknown but recently they’ve been brought back to the internet. So i feel right off the bat they’d bee an interesting band to consider reacting too
Yeah, never heard of them. I'll have to give their music a listen!
I've been a Deftones fan and somehow never heard this project. Thanks for exposing me to it. Quick request: I don't know if you plan on doing any Linkin Park run-throughs, but I'd love to see you react to A Thousand Suns. It was a huge departure from their usual sound, which is what critics loved about it but polarized fans like no other. It's the album which most resonates with me and even made me cry 😅 I know you have alot queued up, but just one day in the future, I think you'd have fun with it.
Glad to hear I introduced you to Team Sleep! I hope you enjoyed the album. I've never really dived very deep into Linkin Park's music so I'll definitely consider your suggestion :)
