Unless you are actually interested in PvE and other aspects that go into playing an RPG you'll never really understand it. At the end of the day WoW is still an RPG and the PvE content is what drives the game forward, arena and battleground wins don't move the game along to different continuations. If we are going to use teamwork between 25 people and defeat the greatest enemies the game has to offer than we better be able to rip through some people "world pvping" at the dark portal. You don't hear PvE'ers (very often) complaining that their gear isn't good enough for 2400 3s matches. Dont pretend you should be able to kill one twenty fifth of a team that has, in spirit, saved the entire world of warcraft multiple times. If you don't get it then you don't get it. CoD is pretty easy to understand I hear.

I can provide a little insight to the whole dilemma you see you have base 76% pvp resistance that's everywhere but pvp power and resistance only comes into effect in arena bg's etc so in world pvp your both 76% resistance and no pvp power to lower that so the ones with more stats win simple as that
Easy solutions. Remove base resilliance, add 50% base resilliance on 4 set PvP gear. Add PvE power, only functions in PvE and boosts some certain stats.
That's b/c the 5.4 PvE season is a week ahead of the PvP gear. You're still in season 13 (5.3) PvP gear. Once u're decked out in full Conquest, season 14 gear it'll probably scale better. Can't believe that guys couldn't give that simple answer.
This is almost so relevant now! The more you pve the better gear you have.. Where as people who constantly play PVP are stuck around 850 unless u get a super rare 880 or a legendary
Blizzard makes a certain classes OP because it causes players to level up that certain class, which takes Gametime, which makes them money. It's one big and subtle thing they do for marketing, it's pretty smart tbh...
Actually Dungeons = Battlegrounds, 2v2 = LFR, 3v3/5v5/RBG = Raiding. LFR is far easier than 2s. And the only way to get geared fast in PVP is to WIN which is never a guarantee.
Here is my mindset. Isn't it harder to get PVE via Raiding? You can pretty much grind PVP and get the gear. You can't really grind Raid because instance cool downs. So technically the PVE gear is harder to achieve. So, with that in mind, I would think that PVE gear would be better gear in the long run. Imo
I’m honestly surprised that this problem has been going on for so long. But yeah almost all of the pvp gear I get from bfa is worthless. Theres almost no point in even opening up my weekly chest when mythic/ raid gear is so op. And people who sell carries even say “come get the new op gear from the new raid!”
PvE gear was always better than PvE gear, (more int, agi, str, sp, arpen, ap) BUT, the PvE gear has (at least used to have) resilence, wich makes you harder against other players. Some ppl liked to mix some pvp gear with pve and make a powerful but less harder combination.

In an hour of doing old LFR with the increased drop rate I can get an average of 5 pieces of gear. In an hour of doing BGs I can get a max of 1k honor and that's if I win each BG. 1k honor isn't even enough to buy a ring.
Before someone thinks that I said that PvP is easier than PvE, nope, just getting grievous gear is really easy compared to say HC gear from SoO. It would be ridiculous that you would have to use your PvP set always in world instead of the hard earned HC gear, remember that PvP is the minigame of WoW.
I hit 90 and within an hour later, I was 490 ilvl just from doing quests and killing on the timeless isle. Its a hell of a lot quicker to gear up with pve items. Under 2 hours and I could join SoO. It would take me at least three times that in pvp to gear up to that ilvl
Don't see why they dont just normalize PvE gear outside of PvE instances Instead of just normalizing the 460 gear in battlegrounds/arena, just normalize it and make the gear scale UP when they enter PvE specific zones (scenarios, raids, etc)
PvP GEAR - Damage, Sustain (Stamina) PvE GEAR - Alot of damage, but no sustain. (Except Tank gear ofc.) And that's simply because a DPS doesn't need health, Tank takes the damage not the DPS.

Just pointing out that no, 496 doesn't upgrade to 520. If you use a Burden of Eternity it's 535. But that's different from upgrading.

Actually it was, PVP was only for world pvp. Only after alot of suggestions they implemented battlegrounds and the honor system to even get pvp gear.
