Thx. 💪👍💯🤙 Quick question, can the rear shock be adjusted? If so can you do a run down follow up video. Dam bike rides stiff as hell. I just bought one and thats my biggest dislike!! Thx
No there isn't any adjustment I don't believe. Yes I know it's a really stiff shock. I believe a CRF150f shock will fit and a couple other eBay type shocks. If your part of the KP mini group on face they have a few different options on the search bar that people have used. Thanks for watching. I'll be putting some new videos up soon.
17 tooth good opp. 108 chain would have worked. Pz 30mm carb, ngk plug, ko ebay exhaust no baffle, 93 gas with 101 boost additiv😅, should race !
Yeah I didn't know the correct size and actually cut the chain a little short. I barely ride that thing I feel bad it just collects dust. You be safe out there I'm still recovering from a torn ACL from an off road accident with the Brozz/dual sport. Ride safe I can't wait to get back out there. That's when the mini will most likely see the most use, considering I won't be back out on the trails for at least another 6-7 months so that'll be next season for the trail riding lol. Also I went back to stock gearing the mini struggled on the hills around me.
Does the chain make much difference in feeling and also.. The 17 is what I am looking at for my KP but I am hearing a lot of guys saying it renders your 5th gear useless... is this true
Yes I live in an area with some hills and I wasn't able to keep good speed going up said hills. With the chain it's definitely smoother, anything other than stock will be better though. So I think the 17 tooth definitely messes with your low end torque and overall top end. It doesn't make enough ponies to really get the full top end off the 17. I went back to stock I believe and haven't went back.
Do you part number and supplier info for spoket ?

thank you so much I've been looking for a larger front sprocket.
No problem! This is a direct swap
Keep up the good work can hardly wait for the results video! Liked and subscribed along time ago! ✌️
I'll be recording that real soon. Gotta get the old action camera out of the closet🤣 I was just mentioning that to the significant other tonight. Thanks for the support I'm gonna keep em coming!
Just adding some love brother keep at it
Thank you buddy!
Put my handlebar risers on and really like the difference. I probably wont be doing wheelies or jumps so I will stick to stock bars for now. I did get my 17T front sprocket today, it was a different manufacturer but it fit like it belonged. That's when the fun started. no matter what I did I couldn't get the proper slack in the chain. I'm thinking damn I got an out of round sprocket but it wasn't the problem and it wasn't links kinking in the chain! It's the rear sprocket out of round. every time the wheel came around it tightened up in the same spot. I was able to reposition the sprocket on the hub without taking it off the bike and did all 4 possible positions. Its definitely the sprocket so I going to try to get a new one under warranty. Cant ride the bike today due to cataract surgery, but tomorrow we will see how it reacts. Hope you do a speed run and post it. everybody else is going big bore kits and thats not my direction.
That's awesome for your risers. I have the exact same issue I couldn't get the chain to the right slack for the life of me. I probably have the same issue with the sprocket being out of round. It would be super loose then tighten up with the spin of the wheel. I was quite frustrated at finding this out that I just ran it super loose so I wouldn't hurt any of the seals. I will throw the ghetto GoPro on and try to get a top speed run for all the ones who are still curious. I'm definitely going big bore after I port the pwk28 Nibbi on there. I wanna do every state so I can get some footage of it.
How many links did you take off the chain?
You have to mock it up and check. I don't remember counting. I just put it on and used my chain breaking tool.
Did you happen to get more top end speed with the 17t?
@@KT1459 yes a little bit especially with the exhaust upgrade and tuning the carb. It lacked a bit of grunt going up big hills though. I have big inclines around me so I swapped back to the stock gearing. It will give you higher top end with lower rpms, but you'll be lacking that torque needed to get you up the hills. It's a give and take scenario.
@@irishryder2470 good to know. I just bought a 17t and a gold chain. Thank you bro
@@KT1459 no problem and remember don't cut your chain too short! You can't go back if you cut the chain too short. So be extra careful when cutting the extra links out.
I like your Vids keep them coming. I being stubborn researched sprockets and ended up with ones that didn't fit, but being from Amazon they were returnable. Using the link in your vid took me to Amazon but a 15T I assume they redirected me since I can't find the 17T on there. I have feelers out but don't want to pay 3 times as much to have it sent from overseas. My paperwork says mine is a 21 and so do tags riveted to bike, but I have older style headlight, non foldable front peg ,different dash then 1 in vid for 21 ssp but the taillight doesn't have the integrated turn signals. They probably just changed the tags it was new in crate so that is what counts. Being budget conscious all my mods have been affordable or free, fender delete had to keep stock turn signals (looks 1000% better), front turn signal delete, led headlight and etard muffler mod( just drilled not cut off). Have you seen joboycowboy muffler mod gthe man has some big ones doing it with just a hacksaw blade and a few small hand tools. This got overly long.
Nice! All that sounds good to me. I tried to not spend much but I had to buy the rear taillight so I could do the integrated blinkers. If you do the exhaust that way you'll still be a little restricted but have better sound. Yeah they most likely did just change the tags on the bike. Your right as long as it's brand new you gotta be happy. I'm about ready to port this dang head I want more power! Thanks for watching! Hopefully more videos coming, most likely the porting of the head and tuning the pwk28 Nibbi.
Also no I did not see joboycowboys video. Unless he's the one who made a video doing the big bore kit on it. Didn't look at the UA-camrs name my mistake lol.
Also yes I am subscribed to joboycowboys channel 🤣 I just took a peek at what he did to his exhaust. Like I mentioned earlier it won't do much for performance just give you a way better sound then the stock scooter sound. He did a good video on the oil leak which mine hasn't developed yet but I have the washers to replace when they do go.
@@irishryder2470 oil leak from the shift sensor?
@@Woahbo yeah it has been known to be an issue. It's not a big deal you just have to find the right size oring to replace the one that is leaking. The UA-cam channel jocowboy or something like that has a full.indepth video on how and what's needed.
Please let us know if it helped performance at all, like if u gained any top end. And mine all i did was change the exhaust and i hit 70 no problem ( straight way ) down hill even faster. And up hill i get stuck at like 63-65. ( ik speedometer is 5mph less ) stock carb!!
Yes I will definitely keep you posted on that. Might make a little video of the 15/17 and the differences in top speed and 0-60. Just for shits and giggles and to let you guys know. Thanks again for watching had to dust the phone off and get back to making some mod videos. More on the way!
@@irishryder2470 awesome dude keep the vidoes coming!!!
What exhaust did you use to increase top end speed?
@@andretigiovaneti7587 I have the Kp moto exhaust.
I finally found the 17T front sprocket in England for a reasonable price on eBay. Many options as far as price $10 to $50. all JTF1264.17 only drawback is length of shipping anywhere from 14-21 Days, but I have 1 on the way. Cant wait to see what it does for me. did a usb charger since I killed my phone battery on a ride.
Niiiice with the USB charger. I need one of those! Sorry to hear about your luck with the wait time for the sprocket. It should give you a little more 1st gear and less rpms when reaching your higher speeds. I still have to do a comparison video for you guys so you can know the difference before going through the struggle of finding the correct sprocket. Hope it all works out for you buddy and thanks for watching!
Is there a stretch kit for them yet
Check the Facebook Kp mini page. Someone stretched their mini out and it looked sick!
@@irishryder2470 hey I looked and didn't find it can you help me out like with the information of the person name so I can look hem up
@@speedymike7845 I looked too it was difficult to find him. Hang on.... I'll try to look again when I can see straight. 😉
I do this to mines bro
How do you like it? I haven't gone out for top speed test yet!?
If I wanted to replace the stock chain with a gold chain, what is the specifications are the size etc. I don’t know whether to get a 420 or 428, or what this really even means lol
@@joeyshook7940 you would wanna go with a 428h. The main difference between the 420/428/520 chain is the strength and thickness of the chain. So a 428"h" stands for heavy duty. You would also wanna get something within the 110-120 link. Double check the link count on th Kp page just search for stock chain links in search bar. Get a chain breaker tool just in case you have to cut it down obviously if you go with a longer/more link chain you will have to size it and break it.
@@irishryder2470 ok thanks. I’m about to put my kept moto club exhaust on in a week or so. Depending on how it runs I may be forced to go ahead with the pwk28, I just need a different intake manifold , One that looks like it would be the correct orientation. I have one picked out but I need to measure the exact width of the stock ones bolts etc , make sure it will fit and all

Did you ever do a speed test after this install?
The fastest I got this thing was like 107 kilometers with the stock gearing. Which is about 66mph. I'm about 225lbs 6'1. This was downhill with the wind to my back. GPS verified. Not too fast. I don't think the 17tooth front sprocket will help with those numbers much. Maybe a few mew miles per hour. I will do a top speed run on camera with both sprockets installed next season.
i forgot to mention I AM HAVING A BLAST RIDING THIS THING!!!
It is a fun little machine! I haven't even been able to see what I can get out of it yet. She sits in the shed while my Brozz gets all the attention.
Nice 👍
Thanks buddy!
