i think they should bring back taco bandits and add some new game modes ideas, the old gw1 maps into zombie style, more lores, and a final boss could be dr zomboss. thats all the ideas i have.
The focus of gw3 shouldnt be about adding new content, but refining what was left by gw1 and 2, reworking what didnt work and making a fun casual experience The problem with perks is that they lack the same visual feedback that variants have for player vs enemy encounters, imagine if tf2 had different weapons for the classes but the weapons model doesnt actually change from the base but still had different stats, and i could argue the same thing can be said for upgrades in gw1 and 2, which are so minor in the game that i think their better off removed entirely for the sake of consistency overall and letting development go more into alt abilities rather then direct upgrades. For artstyle, i think gw1 did it best, it really captured the asthetic of the first pvz quite well, with its gritty shading and crooked looking houses, pvz in my opinion looked its best when it was going for a kinda tim burten or psychonauts style, it allowed itself to be weird and sometimes dark despite its cartoonish look, and the maps i felt were also more appealing and much more grounded, but i do think some need revamping to take into account newer classes and balancing. Sticking to either the one of the first 2 games styles would be good, it would mean less work needs to be done since you just need to take mechanics and assets from the previous games without needing to build the game from the ground up like with bfn. Sprinting if im being honest kinda sucked, im pretty sure the majority of the classes were made slower just so sprinting could be a new addition in bfn, and while its nice for getting into the fray quicker, it came at the cost of making strafing and dodging in combat more sluggish, the better solution would be to just remove it and restore the faster walk speed of the two previous games.
essentially combine all 3 shooter game's best aspects, add new classes and maps, new and large hub which also has optional multiplayer like bfn, good campaign that unlocks new cool characters like gw2 and additional abilites, and add variants to classes that never got them including the new ones and add extra variants to the og plants, have a leveling system which grants special abilities, variants, and cosmetics and lastly, make a ranked system and youll have a gw3 ready to go also you need to make it so that the game gets long term support as well as new modes as well as balancing
I mean it would help the game a LOT. Variants are literally the unique selling point of Garden Warfare, taking them out is the equivalent to Nintendo replacing Miis with generic stock characters in Switch Sports. Also, skill based matchmaking would not help at all because there wouldn't be enough player to warrant it, and high ranks would barely be able to find a game.
I love these videos you make! Honestly if they said were working on a gw3 the community would go crazy and revive the games as then returning players may come back. They need to get there a game on or they will fail.
I like bfns upgrade system but instead of removing every simple variant either make them a free upgrade, i think it needs better maps with more detail like gw1, i loved bfns map design but the maps were too small and not made for pvp, story wise bfn wins it, have a really long 2 sided story for both plants and zombies, there isnt alot i can think of right now atleast.
I actually played and still play Battle For Neighborville. I really enjoy it. I got it as a graduation present. I don't really understand the backlash aside from the anger I feel that its no longer supported.
I agree I played it quite a bit and it was fun I think it wasn't that BFN was objectively bad it's just that a lot of people had the opinion that in contrast to GW2 it was made poorly but hey that's just peoples opinion so I wouldnt let other peoples opinion decide what I enjoy or anybody enjoys 👽👍
It was such horriblliy missed opportunity when it comes with upgrade system, like they chould simply port most if not all of the variants as upgrade points and costumes. Like imagine; changing the peashooter's snout with commando's, hat with agent, hands as ep, while also equipping the law Pea's primary as a upgrade. Gosh, we can only dream 😭
im gonna leave a hottake: gw3, SHOULDNT be about adding new classes, what makes a class great is their ability to take up their defined role and exceed in it, by gw2 most roles were already taken up, we dont have another healing plant because sunflower is our healing plant, unless theirs a role not yet filled, these games dont need new classes, it should be focusing on refining the current classes to have more options for how you might wanna play them, by making interesting variants or adding more alt abilites that could add depth. bfn made more classes cause thats what people thought they wanted, but it came at the cost of taking away certain roles from older classes like the sunflower, who is now exlusively a healer rather then a mix of an healer with great assault potential, losing some of that depth that made her special in the first place, classes like chomper are now outshined by nightcap and snapdragon when all that additional stuff they gave to other flankers couldve been given to chomper as variants or alt abilities, qauntity over quality
I would Rebalance some characters like this: Legendary: Easier to get meter but with less time on meter, would help you get it more, also make it heal 40% of your health Toxic Variants: Stop Healing by 50%, maybe could be a cool twist Tank Variants: The damage nerf is already hard enough, remove speed nerf Detonation Variants: Rework or Removal Party Variants: A actual downside Peashotter: Rock Pea: Buff of course Law,Agent,Elec and Plasma: Nerf of course Commando:More ammo Sunflower: Stuffy: More of actual support Dark Flower: Is litterally sunflower but with more dps, just exchange ammo idk Cactus: Add a second fire Remove wall-nut and put a movment or better defensive ability, and remove drones, nobody likes them Future, Camo: Nerf pls(underrated but still powerful) Petrified: The ideia of a mid range cactus is good, so just make it balanced Chomper: Make a ranged attack for god sake Make digestion instant, just like spy, hes already putting himself at a dangerous position in the frist place Metal: Withouth speed nerf now we should nerf his damage maybe? @@dreadz314 Yes, theyre rare, but what my rebalance should do is make so getting the meter is easier but you have less time to work on it, so new players could get meters easier, but adressing party characters, theyre just stock but better, they already have the rare legendary meter, which now, will be way more acessible, because in gw2, getting meters is hard if you arent very good at the game, which is the only reason why party characters exist is the meter, making getting a meter easier would make so players will get it way more often, but with a new downside, not too heavy like other variants, but still a downside to at least make the stock characters viable in a possible competetive setting

@@dreadz314 I respect your point of view, but normal players who play the game are mostly casuals, even those who unlocked party variants, most of them dont really care about balance, however we all know that a balanced experience that dosent interfer with the fun is better for everybody, for example: electro pea is very easy to master and powerful, so it makes so it can destroy lobbies if used properly, it dosent destroy the experience, but the player may feel unjistifiably killed, party corn for example has a 30 second party time, its a great system but I feel while in legendary mode I just kill the few enemies in my way and waste the rest of my party time trying to hunt someone, so making the party time 4 vanquish instead of 5 for party characters would make it better in my opinion, then just make the duration like 18 seconds, make the buffs slightly better and give it a 40-50% max health heal on activation to not potentialy die instantly, since thats frustating, it would be more fair to the enemy and the player, since the player will not get frustrated after losing party time, and the enemy will know that player had to kill 4 players just to activate the mode, this is just my opinion and you can critizice it if you want, but I think it would be more fun and fair this way, also about the party character nerf, maybe nerf its damage or reload, not too much, but not like too much that make the party obsolete compared to stock Also about the "hard to get" argument, Its not because a character is hard to get that it should be unfair, I dont think party characters in GW2 are unfair, theres are just better than stock, with no competition(except party deadbeard), I think legendary characters should have 2 gimmicks compared to the avarege 1 character gimmick we see in most variants, one for the primary and other for the meter,to make them more special and rewarding, but although theyre very hard to get, theyre should at least be more balanced to make stock competetive viable And regarding sniper legendary meters, I think they should be harder to get legendary snipers meters,but with slightly more time to use, more like gw2 style, since snipers that have constant legendary meters would be kinda OP, snipers are already very great at getting multiple kill streaks, so they should stay mostly the same
When I bought BfN switch a few months ago and playing through that game again made me realize there's a lot of potential that failed to blossom due to poor marketing, rushing the product the day after GW2's final event was finished, not to mention the emote system that allows people to load up on whatever they found in the toilet and bully little Jimmy for just playing the game.

alternatives for variants are new factions in the pvz series are 3 faction plants zombies and gnomes and for gnomes we haven't played and in gw 3 gnomes would be great alternative and in gw 4 would be animals so in gw 4 they were 4 factions animals plants zombies and gnomes and maps would be 16 because 4 factions and in all maps would be 2 teams and i dont know 1 team would be plants which would fought against gnomes and teams would be in gw 4 and plants and zombies would fought with animals and gnomes or 1v3 gnomes would fought against zombies plants and animals and maps would be 20
from what I’ve seen bfn is pretty popular on switch (I used to play on switch for about a year and moved to ps4 in December). I would always get lobbies with actual human beings when I would play turf. I have also noticed bfn on switch has a friendlier player base. The thing about variants not being in gw3 as it would not make sense for them not to add them as it’s something that has been there since gw1 so I think let’s combine variants and the (I am not talking about legendary upgrades) have the bfn upgrade system, and it should be unique to each character and each variant, so you can make them feel more unique adding more replay ability along with having the reg variants have also have there own unique character upgrades that’s like in bfn
This is how I would rebalanced the character in gw3 (With none of the bfn upgrades and gw1 and 2 variants) Peashooter: None Sunflower: Make her normal damage higher and nothing else Chomper: when a zombie is getting eaten they can mash the jump or sprint button to escape stunning chomper hum bfn chomper with hit shot thay only last 6 or 8 shots also NO MID AIR BURROW Cactus: make her drone have 10 hp and her and give her weapon the same as in bfn and make able to switch between the tall nuts of the twister and keep her health 100 HP Foot Soldier: make his damage i bit higher but again none Engineer: Make enige switch between the heavy helper and his turret from gw2 and keep the bouncing projectile when shooting All-Star: Make the imp-bunt farther and the sprint tackle a bit faster Scientist: Keep his high damage at close range but make his more healing focused with no sticky grenade only heal one Citron: Give him his mini-gun in bfn and make him zoom and the shield a different button and let him have his abilities in gw2 Rose: Give her time snare and make arciagne enigma for damage and speed player and also let her have low damage pur faster projectile Corn: Higher damage please! That's a really good idea indeed man but obviously we definitely don't think gw3 is officially going to real in the future public in the end of 2023 and start all over again to rebooted the pvz shooters and tower defense simulator game as well BFN isn't that bad it's really good overall the new improve changes as well new consepts arts from the developers drawing skills and there own unique skills and ideas from the gw1 and 2 while BFN has no variarts but some of them might getting a comeback including some of the new custom varieties of the plants and zombies itself and might coming back into legendary upgrades in the new characters upgrade system points some of them manage to get in the game itself while other scraped legendary upgrades and scraped character upgrade points are no longer available game because they did allot of test and results of some game crashing and lag and many more as well some of them are good while other scraped things by ea and popcap itself as well potted plants weeds and bots and zombies sides itself are completely changed the game itself in gw1 and 2 has allot more than hundreds of defense potted plants and bots zombies and plants in gw1 gw2 has new maps cutscenes animations as everything else including the storyline itself are going great so far

I just downloaded PVZ garden warfare and it always says that the EA servers are not working, and it's a pain in the a- (not saying the game is bad game,im just saying it's servers are not fixed, game is still great)
I think pop cap should make some sort of pvz2 pc port,that isn't free but has no microtransactions and ads and also got more balance changes,trust me if pvz2 was pc game like the first game,it would be so much better

I actually agree with this video in terms of the ideas but the fact is the faliure of Bfn and PvZ3 demo made it so EA pulled almost all resources out of all PvZ projects except PvZ2 with even its quality declining. PvZ franchise is pretty much dead, not because of the fans or actual faliure but because PoPcap is complaciant and greedy and becuase EA is also greedy and even more complaciant. That is pretty much it.
GW3 already happened. But people leaked it, and when it launched, everyone was review-bombing it for no reason, and big youtubers like WolfyPlayz tried convincing the existing playerbase to stop playing it (and trying to get any potential new players to see it as bad). All the negative attention put together hurt its sales and caused EA to make the decision to stop Popcap from working on it after the Swarm class. Obviously the game I am talking about is Battle for Neighborville, and you can cry about "iT's NoT gW3" in the replies but it's true and you and I both know it. You just don't want to admit that YOU, the "fanbase", killed the game, and Popcap with it (though I agree it was also EA and Popcap's fault, but not entirely their's).
I think I heard somewhere that comments and forms of engagement like that don't do that anymore because people were abusing it but I'm glad you enjoyed it enough to feel the need to comment👽👍

I actually played and still play Battle For Neighborville. I really enjoy it. I got it as a graduation present. I don't really understand the backlash aside from the anger I feel that its no longer supported.

im gonna leave a hottake: gw3, SHOULDNT be about adding new classes, what makes a class great is their ability to take up their defined role and exceed in it, by gw2 most roles were already taken up, we dont have another healing plant because sunflower is our healing plant, unless theirs a role not yet filled, these games dont need new classes, it should be focusing on refining the current classes to have more options for how you might wanna play them, by making interesting variants or adding more alt abilites that could add depth.
bfn made more classes cause thats what people thought they wanted, but it came at the cost of taking away certain roles from older classes like the sunflower, who is now exlusively a healer rather then a mix of an healer with great assault potential, losing some of that depth that made her special in the first place, classes like chomper are now outshined by nightcap and snapdragon when all that additional stuff they gave to other flankers couldve been given to chomper as variants or alt abilities, qauntity over quality

@@dreadz314 Yes, theyre rare, but what my rebalance should do is make so getting the meter is easier but you have less time to work on it, so new players could get meters easier, but adressing party characters, theyre just stock but better, they already have the rare legendary meter, which now, will be way more acessible, because in gw2, getting meters is hard if you arent very good at the game, which is the only reason why party characters exist is the meter, making getting a meter easier would make so players will get it way more often, but with a new downside, not too heavy like other variants, but still a downside to at least make the stock characters viable in a possible competetive setting

@@dreadz314 I respect your point of view, but normal players who play the game are mostly casuals, even those who unlocked party variants, most of them dont really care about balance, however we all know that a balanced experience that dosent interfer with the fun is better for everybody, for example: electro pea is very easy to master and powerful, so it makes so it can destroy lobbies if used properly, it dosent destroy the experience, but the player may feel unjistifiably killed, party corn for example has a 30 second party time, its a great system but I feel while in legendary mode I just kill the few enemies in my way and waste the rest of my party time trying to hunt someone, so making the party time 4 vanquish instead of 5 for party characters would make it better in my opinion, then just make the duration like 18 seconds, make the buffs slightly better and give it a 40-50% max health heal on activation to not potentialy die instantly, since thats frustating, it would be more fair to the enemy and the player, since the player will not get frustrated after losing party time, and the enemy will know that player had to kill 4 players just to activate the mode, this is just my opinion and you can critizice it if you want, but I think it would be more fun and fair this way, also about the party character nerf, maybe nerf its damage or reload, not too much, but not like too much that make the party obsolete compared to stock
Also about the "hard to get" argument, Its not because a character is hard to get that it should be unfair, I dont think party characters in GW2 are unfair, theres are just better than stock, with no competition(except party deadbeard), I think legendary characters should have 2 gimmicks compared to the avarege 1 character gimmick we see in most variants, one for the primary and other for the meter,to make them more special and rewarding, but although theyre very hard to get, theyre should at least be more balanced to make stock competetive viable
And regarding sniper legendary meters, I think they should be harder to get legendary snipers meters,but with slightly more time to use, more like gw2 style, since snipers that have constant legendary meters would be kinda OP, snipers are already very great at getting multiple kill streaks, so they should stay mostly the same

When I bought BfN switch a few months ago and playing through that game again made me realize there's a lot of potential that failed to blossom due to poor marketing, rushing the product the day after GW2's final event was finished, not to mention the emote system that allows people to load up on whatever they found in the toilet and bully little Jimmy for just playing the game.
The focus of gw3 shouldnt be about adding new content, but refining what was left by gw1 and 2, reworking what didnt work and making a fun casual experience
The problem with perks is that they lack the same visual feedback that variants have for player vs enemy encounters, imagine if tf2 had different weapons for the classes but the weapons model doesnt actually change from the base but still had different stats, and i could argue the same thing can be said for upgrades in gw1 and 2, which are so minor in the game that i think their better off removed entirely for the sake of consistency overall and letting development go more into alt abilities rather then direct upgrades.
For artstyle, i think gw1 did it best, it really captured the asthetic of the first pvz quite well, with its gritty shading and crooked looking houses, pvz in my opinion looked its best when it was going for a kinda tim burten or psychonauts style, it allowed itself to be weird and sometimes dark despite its cartoonish look, and the maps i felt were also more appealing and much more grounded, but i do think some need revamping to take into account newer classes and balancing. Sticking to either the one of the first 2 games styles would be good, it would mean less work needs to be done since you just need to take mechanics and assets from the previous games without needing to build the game from the ground up like with bfn.
Sprinting if im being honest kinda sucked, im pretty sure the majority of the classes were made slower just so sprinting could be a new addition in bfn, and while its nice for getting into the fray quicker, it came at the cost of making strafing and dodging in combat more sluggish, the better solution would be to just remove it and restore the faster walk speed of the two previous games.

factions in the pvz series are 3 faction plants zombies and gnomes and for gnomes we haven't played and in gw 3 gnomes would be great alternative and in gw 4 would be animals so in gw 4 they were 4 factions animals plants zombies and gnomes and maps would be 16 because 4 factions and in all maps would be 2 teams and i dont know 1 team would be plants which would fought against gnomes and teams would be in gw 4 and plants and zombies would fought with animals and gnomes or 1v3 gnomes would fought against zombies plants and animals and maps would be 20
from what I’ve seen bfn is pretty popular on switch (I used to play on switch for about a year and moved to ps4 in December). I would always get lobbies with actual human beings when I would play turf. I have also noticed bfn on switch has a friendlier player base. The thing about variants not being in gw3 as it would not make sense for them not to add them as it’s something that has been there since gw1 so I think let’s combine variants and the (I am not talking about legendary upgrades) have the bfn upgrade system, and it should be unique to each character and each variant, so you can make them feel more unique adding more replay ability
along with having the reg variants have also have there own unique character upgrades that’s like in bfn
Gw3 should have good servers no pay to win and good balancing some characters are obviously better than others especially the pay to win ones

Chomper: when a zombie is getting eaten they can mash the jump or sprint button to escape stunning chomper hum bfn chomper with hit shot thay only last 6 or 8 shots also NO MID AIR BURROW
Cactus: make her drone have 10 hp and her and give her weapon the same as in bfn and make able to switch between the tall nuts of the twister and keep her health 100 HP
Foot Soldier: make his damage i bit higher but again none
Engineer: Make enige switch between the heavy helper and his turret from gw2 and keep the bouncing projectile when shooting
All-Star: Make the imp-bunt farther and the sprint tackle a bit faster
Scientist: Keep his high damage at close range but make his more healing focused with no sticky grenade only heal one
Citron:
Give him his mini-gun in bfn and make him zoom and the shield a different button and let him have his abilities in gw2
Rose:
Give her time snare and make arciagne enigma for damage and speed player and also let her have low damage pur faster projectile
Corn:
Higher damage please! And remade his butter beacon to something else

Keep his abilities from Bfn and give him four punches and that's it

To the skill based matchmaking part, its a probaly bad addition, there are many videos saying why but i think its mostly cuz of 1: smurfing still exists (and boy there are going to be ton because of them always facing objectively better players). 2: always fighting against the same skill level needs you to sweat to successed, and after you've sweated a whole river for like 2 hours you very much ruined your ranking and get stomped by 10x higher leagues than you're suppose to be on, 3: every other point i found online but too insecure to promote

I actually agree with this video in terms of the ideas but the fact is the faliure of Bfn and PvZ3 demo made it so EA pulled almost all resources out of all PvZ projects except PvZ2 with even its quality declining. PvZ franchise is pretty much dead, not because of the fans or actual faliure but because PoPcap is complaciant and greedy and becuase EA is also greedy and even more complaciant. GW3 already happened. But people leaked it, and when it launched, everyone was review-bombing it for no reason, and big youtubers like WolfyPlayz tried convincing the existing playerbase to stop playing it (and trying to get any potential new players to see it as bad). All the negative attention put together hurt its sales and caused EA to make the decision to stop Popcap from working on it after the Swarm class.
Obviously the game I am talking about is Battle for Neighborville, and you can cry about "iT's NoT gW3" in the replies but it's true and you and I both know it. You just don't want to admit that YOU, the "fanbase", killed the game, and Popcap with it (though I agree it was also EA and Popcap's fault, but not entirely their's).
You forgot it needs some other gamemodes so people wont play the same mode all over again
