I really like videos like these because it helps me anticipate issues better than any "tips for color work" lists would. Also that design is adorable, I would love to see a rework of that same design someday
yay i’m so pleased it’s helpful! definitely a good example of what happens when you don’t follow the right methods 😂😅 thank you i’ll definitely frog and rework it!
I initially thought the cats at the front were really cute dogs. It's a fantastic vest, very impressive. Thanks for all the useful advice, think I might incorporate a colourwork design into a scarf. Love your enthusiasm!
yay i’m glad it was helpful ❤️❤️ they do look like dogs / wolfs, they are weirdly awkward to figure out 😂 that’s why i did them eyeless in the end as it all looked very weird! 😅
Ooooooooooooooohhhhhh right! I get the twisting thing now haha finally! I avoided colourwork up until now bc I simply didn’t understand how it would work, but this makes sense! Thanks, something clicked. Also the thing is, if in that much work and it would turn out a fail, that would turn me off from knitting at all BIG TIMe. Think I’ll have to do a lil swatching first lol
Absolutely loved this! Colourwork is something i want to get better at and it’s so good to take stock of our previous mishaps to ✨✨lEaRn✨✨ you ARE the colourwork champ🙌🏻
definitely the best way to learn!! (this is what i repeat to myself so i don’t cry about the cumulative years wasted to terrible colourwork technique 😂😅😅) 💕💕💕
This is so useful to show your progression and what the insides look like. I was so lucky that my Mom was great at intarsia so yes, some frogging before I got it right.
thank you 💕💕 that is very lucky, definitely could have used someone overseeing when i was struggling 😂 it’s such a great way to knit though isn’t it, i love it now!

that cat design still looks super cute, though! you should make another sweater with a similar theme to see how much you've improved :)
thank you so much ❤️ yeah i definitely want to, i think it would look really cool done properly 🌟
Omg I love the palace - amazing
thank you so much!! 💕💕
The design is fire it’d give it a knit if you ever release it ❤
Also great video, thank you for opening up 🤗
thank you so much and that’s really nice to hear! i’ll look into it 💕
I second that I would love to make this
@@alwaysshae09 thanks so much! i’m quite encouraged to release it now (once i’ve figured out a successful prototype of course 😅)!

I was doing colourwork 35 years ago. No internet, no one to ask. Those were REAL disasters 🤣
oh no i can imagine! 😂😂 i bet you’re excellent at it now though! best way to learn (albeit slowly and with many fails along the way 😅)
Looks good to me for a first attempt. Cats are looking like cats, trees look like trees.
😂 thank you so much! the cat design was actually quite a challenging part so genuinely very pleased you’ve said that 😂❤️
