In the dead of night, a caravan rumbles into town. The traveling carnival has returned! But this is no day at the park. Behind the lights and the laughter, the carnival harbors a dark secret. Buy a ticket if you dare, but beware - once you enter, you may never be able to escape the Monster Carnival!

I knew it was Raven all along. At first I thought it was Edgar since Poptropica has this running theme of twisting the plot making the villian turn out to be someone you trusted or have seen throughout the island, and he wasn't there doing the ritual. But being first introduced to Raven I immediately knew it was him from how shady/sketchy he looked and how much knowledge he knew about this whole thing and that he wasn't at the ritual either. Bird boy definitely confirmed it for me and I was so set on it, it made perfect sense. The villian having a bad upbringing and all being a common reason for people to turn bad and do the whole revenge thing in a lot of stories. Plus Raven is a bird as well looking a lot similar to the one in the newspaper but more older and mature looking making perfect sense since that time was set in the past. So yeah knowing Poptropica's common theme and the common theme for a lot of villians in general made me believe it was him for sure, and welp, I was right!! Great video by the way.

me as someone who used to play Poptropica years ago and watching this video: I feel bad for Raven/Bird Boy because of his backstory and he didn't deserve the hate from pretty much everybody; I think everybody in the Carnival island are real villains here for the way they treated him.

I revisited poptropica, my childhood game, today, and most of the islands are gone. So many memories D:
they said they wanted to renew the old games (2007-2013 games) due to those were using flash (flash discontinued in 1st Jan 2021) and they need to renew those codes. I think it goes that way. You also can play the old games using the mobile app or with members if you want to play it on pc

does no one think the ending for the black raven guy is a little sad? He was shunned by the town and then came back for revenge. Now he's brainwashed into thinking he's a bird for the rest of his life. He never got any real justice or closure.
The thing that led him to villainy in the first place was being humiliated and hated by everyone. Now his punishment is being humiliated even more, and the people responsible for his suffering don’t get punished at all. They don’t even learn their lesson in the end! What a bad ending.

It literally took me over a year to solve this island. Not because it was too hard or confusing for me, but because I was playing on the old family computer (my dad thought we needed a new laptop even though the other one works just fine) and I encountered a game-breaking bug on the island where I could NOT pick up the black lights at all. I tried restarting about 2 or 3 times, but I couldn't bypass the glitch. Today I decided to play Poptropica (mainly because my dad wanted to watch football in the living room while I was playing Skyrim, so I had to save my progress and quit the game, then turn off the Xbox 360, and the reason I'm allowed to play games that are Mature on my Xbox 360 is because I'm 17 years old, so I'm old enough, and yet I play Poptropica, which I once was a kid when playing it back in 2007 as a 9 year old, but I digress) and I wondered if I finally will be able to beat Monster Carnival Island on the newer computer, and I didn't get the glitch, and I finally beat the Island! I was so happy, it was like my life was complete!

None of the islands are fun or playable anymore. So many new glitches, or the clean islands are member-only ones.
I revisited poptropica recently and was so disappointed. I'm glad I played through all of it while it was still playable
The new poptropica is so bad, why did they take away islands that were ALREADY OUT, and last time I checked, the Android/apple apps don’t require Adobe flash, why not put it all on there, it’s unreasonable.

On a side note, am I the only one who feels a little sorry for Ringmaster Raven? I mean, he was exploited for being a freak then accused of arson and chased out of town- he returns years later and brainwashes people as payback then gets brainwashed himself and is put on display just like he was as a kid. You gotta' admit that's pretty harsh, even for a villain.

OMG i had to restart the island at least eight times!!!!!
To get past the monster by the haunted lab, there is poison that is near it (to its right) and you can jump onto that from the stairs to enter the haunted lab, and jump over. To get over the monster from the left side, you can jump on the "test your strength" game (where the super bouncy ball was placed) and it was bounce you right on top of the poison that is near the monster.

Hiya! I have been using your walkthrough today trying to complete the "Monster Carnival". So far, it has been working great, but something strange just happened. I am up to the part when you have to fool the guesser, and sharpen the dart. I was able to go sharpen the dart, but when I try to get the object from Dr. Dan, he just says, "Is there anything else I can help you with today?" And my character automatically says, "No thank you." I followed your tutorial exactly, and have even gone back to see what I did wrong, but from what I can tell, I have done it all correct. Would you happen to know why the game is not letting me get past this part? Thanks! :)
Maybe your game gliched? This may be unfortunate but I think you should reset the world and do it again.

it is super super annoying, but the same thing happened to me and i came to realize that the only way to fix it is to reset the island- it worked and now im on my way! good luck!

did any 1 notice that the scarecrows behind the big wheel start off when ur giving the man the lever are just plain then when ur saving the teens from the big wheel one eye is slightly open with a bit of a blue/green color showing and later open wider exposing a green eye ugh creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy [shudders]

Maybe restart then try again, I don't think reloading works if you've already past the cut scene and didn't get it so I think maybe restarting the island will work then do again from this walkthrough if not I don't know I hope this helps

to do the duck game you need to find the black lights in the haunted lab and use them with the flashlight then go to the duck game
