Only took four months to find this video, I've been playing ignorant to pit training and managing with the guaranteed pit stop mistake every race. Thank You
It seems like the pit stop time improvement decays at a constant rate while not gym training, while fatigue is added/removed by a constant amount depending on the activity. Therefore, you will get faster pit stops if you swap the rest and gym training periods and put all of your gym training right before the race weekend.
Honestly this little mini game is stupid should be dumb down as I pay money for a sport director to handle this and it feels like it’s all on me The game should give hints in depth recommendations from the sporting director via emails in the game
Thanks started following your guide halfway through the season and easily won the dhl award. Was doing 1.9 pitstops and started improving the car building
Best video ever, i have figured out everything else in this game and I've never understood this so admitted defeat and this video was AMAZING 10/10 explained everyhting perfectly
I wish I knew this sooner, 4 races in and I think I still have one more until next month. These videos are really helpful and make it easier to understand every aspect of the game
Shouldnhave watched this before starting my current game. My pit crew hit weary after Baku and i was wondering why my stops were 3 seconds long. Cost me a few points finishes as AlphaTauri right as the upgrades started coming in. Love your work mate, keep it up
A recent patch changed pit training to be more challenging, you are going to see higher fatigue gains than in this video and as a result you are going to have a way harder time to get pit times down, unfortunately. I'll be having a look at remaking this guide in the future but keep in mind it is somewhat outdated due to changes to fatigue.
This is my first F1M game and this system made no sense! I really wish the game had help/hints for each system that explains the systems in more straightforward language. You’re videos have been great for getting up to speed (pun intended)
After the changes in the 1.9 update pit crew will get even more tried with every pitstop you make during a race weekend the calander WILL NOT TELL YOU THIS as its just an estimate time... The best way to combat this issue is by doing practice and qualifying yourself and trying to make the least stops in practice if possible
I think they might have updated this since the video, I did the exact same set up as you, same team, and got 0.04 pit gain end of month and all all the team skills atrophied by 3. I'm looking at your screen an all their skills stay at zero loss or gain. Definitely changed the mechanics. Now it seems its either improve pit stop times by a very small margin and lose pit stop skills rapidly or maintain / improve pit stop skills and have even slower pit stop times. At a loss, puts me off even playing, this pit stop mini game is so badly balanced.
There has been a update where the pit crew fatigue became more prominent, leading to a few weird scenarios where the visual fatigue isn't actually the real fatigue, will have to have another look at the pit crew training when I get the chance. As it is now I would probably prioritize getting error chance down.
I try to get the day before the race weekend to 0 -3% (since it doesn’t seem to effect the fatigue levels that the pit crew gain over the weekend) so your free to add anything you like as long as you get the last day to that %
I dont understand this at all.. How do I save the situation mid season when my crew is fatigued and pitstop time is like 3,1 secs? I have to put them to rest every month otherwise they will cry.
Pit crew fatigue right now is fairly wonky and often isn't represented right. After this video was made they nerfed pit crews pretty significantly making it harder to have a perfect crew.
Basically had to have pit crew rest the whole month to get fatigue down and the schedule said at the end of the month it should be on tired (right after a race weekend), but when the next month schedule planning arrived they are fucking exhausted 89%... what the actual fuck. Literally not been able to get any improvement in the pit crew and season 1 is almost finished.
Fatigue seems to be bugged right now as it will say you are exhausted but there will be no errors for the pit stops, it is basically a display error but makes managing a pit crew next to impossible unfortunately.
Alright, I got a challenge for ya then. How long would it take to build a winning team with a staff full of free agents? Team is up to you but can't be Red Bull, Ferrari, Aston Martin or Mercedes. Should be fun.
Does not work for me, my pitstop times are deteoriating now in S2 and around 3.5 secs most of the time i just do gym training and pit stop drills and make sure crew is rested and crew's wear levels are less than 40% on sunday. Skill level keeps on detoriating as well. The game devs have bottled something which should have been lot easier..
I've watched this video at least a dozen times, and I'm in the year 2033. And can't get my pit stop time below 2.4s, and just can't figure where else I'm going wrong. My directors states are:- Training 100 Aptitude 100 Leadership 92 Processes 100 And no matter what I still can't get the pit time lower, yet I've been able to get. The chance of mistake down to about 3%, so any advice would be really appreciated
They changed pit training quite drastically a few patches ago, as a result training is slower particularly for pit times. 2.4 is pretty decent with the new changes, so it seems you got it covered. The issue as said is that they changed fatigue gains and training gains.
For me is not really working like that. Seems like the fatigue is just an estimation and I have to constantly edit training programs because I`m getting more fatigue from the racing weekends then the training programe thinks I should have.
@@NeroBax Yeah, cumulative. I'm setting up a program at the start of the month and checking so that on any given weekend I'm not going over tired, anything below 20 on Friday should be ok, right? And then sometime Im receiving a mail about my pit crew being tired and when I check the training program they have way more fatigue than planned. Sometimes I can squize enough rest to be ok for the next GP but sometimes I can't...
My issue with this is... A: the defaults should not work well but not jack the pit crew to fatigue. just slow steady gains. 2: If the pit crew needs more then 2 days off to refresh they should be fired. The issue is i don't want to micro manage this. why do i hire the sporting director? all i want to do is tell them to focus and be done with it. manual management should be where runaway fatigue should come in. that is why i say it is broken. the i don't want to deal with this option does not exist. or more accurately, it exists in the presets but does not work.
Honestly all the teams play mostly the same, they just have different starting points. Ferrari will be a easier experience than Alpine simply because they have a way better starting point.
They changed pit training fairly drastically sometime after I made this video, as a result you are going to have a harder time managing fatigue unless you avoid changing powertrain components between practice and quali/race. It is basically a choice now between your pit crew or switching parts for the most part.

Just banging out brilliant quality vids. Keep it up bro
All of these videos are super helpful. You’ve earned a sub.
Good explanation and implementation, thanks
You deserve so many more subs
This is a hugely helpful video! Even if it is out of date as i realised i understood nothing of the calender! Thank you!

do you know when you might redo it because i'm with Mercedes and the pitstops are always at least 3 seconds.
Doing gods work thanks

I think balanced is the way to go now and fine tune to maximize and when you news to instead of balanced do fatigue reduction

@@NeroBax Hi, I hope you can give new advice because now the game is unplayable. Thanks!
How did you go about bringing mistake chance down
Thanks man, Im in my 2nd season with 3 sec as my time and errors every weekend. Its going to be a long road to recovery
thanks xd

How do you know what the pit stop limit is? Thank you for great video
Depends on your sporting directors aptitude. Higher aptitude, lower limit.
You'll know you're at the limit when you add more gym days, but don't receive any more time reduction
Basically had to have pit crew rest the whole month to get fatigue down and the schedule said at the end of the month it should be on tired (right after a race weekend), but when the next month schedule planning arrived they are fucking exhausted 89%... what the actual fuck. Does the age factor in for the staff like it does for the drivers when it comes to upgrading their stats?
Not really as far as I've seen.

My pit crews stats reset fully when I began the 2nd season
Did they change that for Update 1.9? cause when i try that everything just gets worse and worse
There was indeed a change that made pit crews more of a challenge to manage.
@@NeroBax Im killing it in my williams save but my pitstops make Sauber look good, any chance in a few words you can give me the basics?
