Nice one, Rog. Mal Logan was a major mentor for me early on, his comping and ensemble playing was great. This particular band was exceptionally good. BG and "Telly" were astonishing. MP of course.... killer. Thanks, SM.
Drummer John Watson once told me that Renee was a difficult woman and said that I should never try taking any photos of her at any of her live gigs or I might end up being told off by her. I have a copy of her book “Confessions of A Difficult Woman”. John Watson must have been right if that’s the name of her autobiography. The late Doug Parkinson told me that he always wanted to do an album of duets with Renee, but it never eventuated. I read somewhere that Renee used to live with the late Michael Gudinski somewhere in Toorak Road, South Yarra.
Thanks for posting Roger, a slick sound for a live gig. I've got that album and Barry is awesome on it. That album and Crossfire's Direct to Disc blow me away - tight as.
Phenomenal. Just a shame Renee didn't have a songwriting machine behind her like the Young Bros did. Geyer made Marcia Hines look like a daggy poofter by comparison, and what an awesome band. LOVE Greg Tell. :)
Barry Sullivan was an awesome bass player. One of my all time favourites.
I am thinking how much better Renee is than soo, soo many contemporary singers. It's astounding her voice.
Renee always surrounded herself with the finest musicians. It’s criminal that she didn’t achieve global fame and recognition.
Quintessential Renee with wonderful, talented band
Fabulous vocals from Renee and a great band.
A legend. Rest in peace, Reneé 😢
Smokin’ Hot 👌🤙🤟🦾🐺💙❤️🔥☄️🔥☄️🔥☄️

Her live performances were always great
Mighty Fine Band.
Barry Sullivan inspired me to start playing bass. This is an awesome performance
that women knows rhythm.

Aunty Renee.
She's a LEGEND...and she still plays gigs...but never does this song 🤣😭
Well, for this era, she certainly had the perfect back-up band.
Funky
