I felt the sniper one. I used to be a menace predicting shots, but now, I can hit sh*t.
Because you weren’t a menace. It was actually just easy to hit shots. Now they actually made the sniper a weapon that requires skill. Which is a good thing.

Yeah I like the old snipers best I miss them lol but I can kind of like the travel but it is harder. They just put a little realistic bullet travel.
@OldBenKenobi2318 ya.. no. They've absolutely trashed snipers. Me and my friends love using snipers from older seasons and are extremely good with them. But with how much bullet drop and decrease in speed it's almost impossible for anyone to use a sniper. The bullet drop and decrease in speed is significantly worse then any other season. There isn't a single season that had this much bullet drop and decrease in speed. Don't understand why you guys are now complaining. Oh wait I know because the gamers that have play for a long time can't keep up to those who are now playing. Shouldn't be our issue though that they can't keep up and yet epic made it everyone's problem.😂
Fortnite: we added bullet drop to make guns realistic. Also Fortnite: Sniper bullets will drop 6 feet at 200 meters.

Its not that hard, everything close Beneath u or close to u is always the normal shot.
Then u just take the sniper and count the lines arround 150m it is the first small, but most of the time u have to use one guess and see if it hits or not and adjust.
2nd most of the time is a Hit if u use it right

To be honest its not a sniper anymore, like there are numbers on scope but they are completely fucking useless because at the range of 250 m you would have to predict where your target is staying because to hit it it would be right under your scope, like now its so god damn unusable at long range that its not a sniper anymore

And the complaint about the bullet drop is absoloute bs, like of course it's gonna have a higher bullet drop, it uses a larger caliber than the rest of the weapons.
Snipers should require a decent amount of skill. That was the problem with Snipers in this season they were easy to use, were pretty fast firing for a bolt action, and started at green rarity, making them easy to find for a weapon that can 1 shot
the current sniper isn’t op its damage literally like any other sniper but there’s something special about it idk what exactly, when it first dropped it was insane and still is(despite that they nerfed it) but it was never about the power of the sniper, the sniper itself is just DIFFERENT!
I shouldn't be able to be one shot from full HP + shield by any gun imo, but that's just me
The thing that makes it OP is that now every gun has bullet drop and now that we can change the attachments makes it even more busted I never liked the idea of snipers one shotting, especially in zero build

Honestly, I feel like they needed to just… BUFF every other weapon instead.

I love how sniper bullets in real life are made from Tungsten, one of the heaviest durable metal which is as heavy as gold and still be shot accurately meanwhile Fortnite’s Sniper bullet falls like it’s no body’s business 💀

I still use snipers and dang I’m still good with em you just need to aim a tad above your opponents head rather than directly head on like before a slight adjustment but not to difficult to get used to hopefully this trick helps some of you
The sniper nerf was actually great. Those things were ridiculous at first. I still think they should remove em all together and give the dmr some shine. I literally won a game yesterday with a ridiculous headshot at range and tbh it felt cheap.
The chapter 5 sniper was so lit 🔥 it honestly made the game so much fun. Sad they aren’t common to find anymore.

The reasons snipers have bullet drop is so you can use a sniper scope with it. It's still satisfying to get a headahot or tag someone with it froma. Distance you just need to take in the factor of drop and use a scope

Sniper bullet drop/speed nerf is ridiculous. I cannot think of any game where the sniper behaves like this. Unless you are playing Battlefield and you're trying to hit someone across the map.

I have my complaints with the snipers they currently have in the game, but not the usual "they are op". I do believe snipers should deal solid damage at range, especially with a headshot. Realistically snipers can tear off limbs, depending on the caliber.
My issues fall in line with the fact that while having bullet drop as a "balancing" mechanic is okay, i think its ridiculous how HEAVY of a drop snipers have in fortnite now. And before someone tells me that it "makes sense since its a bigger bullet", i just want to remind everyone that sniper rifles are literally designed to hit targets at extreme ranges with good accuracy.
It just feels cartoony to me when i have to have my scope two body lengths above my target, otherwise im shooting the ground. Defeats the purpose of a sniper.
This chapter was cool for adding attachments you can change out on guns, i genuinely like it. But for snipers it DID create a problem where people would have no scopes amd and drum mags, and use these one tap beasts in close range as a DMR. That, mixed with the high drop rate was why i had a problem with snipers this chapter. If you land a headshot on me from across the map, i won't even be that mad. Annoyed that i died, sure. But I'll respect the skill of a solid shot.
I was just not personally a fan of firing at someone with an AR in close range and getting one tapped by them when they had like 5 hp remaining.
My opinion is just have snipers be a "fixed" weapon, meaning keep the scope permanently on it, and the default mag with the option to apply a suppressor. BUT, on the flip side lower the bullet drop and increase the velocity as a sniper SHOULD. That way, its no longer an issue of "lack of skill" to not be able to land a shot. If you cant hit a target at that point, thats 100% on you. Even playing field for everyone involved. But thats just my opinion on the matter.
I don't hate snipers in general, just the way the developers AND community are handling them. Too much toxicity.

Bullet drop really isn’t a problem as the sniper scope has lines you can use for bullet drop. The problem really is how impossible it is to find. In duos we usually find 1 every 5-6 games not counting from dead bodies

Nobody knows this but the Fortnite 4X scopes are accurate to real life. if you use the lines on them, you can accurately predict where the bullet lands.
The new shield bubbles good because with the old one it was bigger so people could just sneak in your bubble without you noticing
Plus, they got rid of the green and blue sniper rarity, making it harder to find the only blue sniper I've found since last month is from defeating an NPC
I love the new sniper; and even if they made the bullet drop off significant I still pick it up. I guess you could see the change to the sniper as making them harder to use, in other words taking more skill 💪

Now that snipers are much realistic, it's easier to snipe. If you have a actual sniper scope (the one with the lines) you can mark a player to see how far away they are. every little line on the big scope is 50 meters Example( if they were 237 metres away, you would put five and a half line notches above them)

I swear the scope to hit ratio used to be different but now you kind of have to go a little step further to incresse the chances of hitting even if you're good

I think sniping is in a better spot now since the nerf, kids who weren't skilled were hitting shots they didn't deserve. Now it takes some skill to get the bullet drop and timing down.
"Almost Impossible" Unless you are using the 4x scope and paying attention to the Reticle itself when Scoped in.
Its not almost imlossible its just different and they've made it harder to hit shots. Which is good, becasue it requires more skill to hit your shots consistently
The only good thing about bullet drop is that if you know someone is behind a wall but you can’t see them and shoot just right you can still hit the shot
I actually love bullet drop because I can now actually hit my shots, whereas before the bullets were just above their head. I understand some people don’t like that tho
