Nice lesson on how skilled the octopus ball makers are, they make it look easy
My family always makes these german raisin bread balls rolled in powdered sugar in the same pan at Christmas and stuff. They are hard to not burn lol.
Followed you for 8 years now and I never get disappointed at the food ever
I have fond memories of eating Kushi-age (Kushikatsu) skewers in Osaka. Cheers! 🖖🗾🇯🇵
Ten seconds in and already hooked. Fried stuff on sticks? Sign me up!
About to binge the last few episodes I missed. Wishing you well out there.
Hope we get another meal and 🍻 together Eric in April if possible mate!!!! 😊
Love when you get out like these vids!!!! How is that girl that did the food tours years ago!!! ??
Arrigato Gozaimasu EricSurf6❤️ Happy New Year for you and your loved ones!! Texas loves your vlogs and kawaii fun content!! Planning our 3rd visit to Japan this November!! Special thanks for all your hard hard work ES6 and team!!
Love my Saturday morning Eric video yo!
Omg, it is 03:00pm and you are making me hungry again. My dinner time is in about 3.5hrs…
Thank you very much, Eric, for sharing your EMT video with us.
PS : Being in Japan I will stop being on a diet. Time? I don’t know yet.
PS2: Will you go to the place at the beach with Andy and Tomoko in Summer again? Sorry for forgetting the place‘s name.
Deep fried skewers are a whole other level of skewers! Only in Japan! 😋
Of all the foods you had, I'm left wanting to try the fried battered and skewered asparagus! 😅
I still give you a 5 out of 6 for your attempt at the octopus balls. I’m sure the chefs didn’t get hired at their first job because of their excellent skills at octopus balls. Great job Eric. With no help either. And you were overcome with smoke inhalation! :)
Thumbs up for trying to make the octopus balls! At least you tried👍🏻
Great video this is my kind of place to eat just binge watched the last 6 videos because I have been really ill for the last two weeks but really needed my Eric surf6 fix keep up the great work
Get well soon!
I can't believe they caught such perfect hotdog octopus for you! 🐙 the sea was really generous that day 😂😂😂😂 looked amazing ❤
Loving your videos Eric! Keep them coming!
Love your videos. Always interesting, great food and looks like you and Mega have fun doing videos together too .
Alway love ur videos keep up the great content
Japan also has vibrating plates to make takoyaki alegedly its very easy to cook with 😊
Love how the textures of food in Japan includes snot and pencil eraser and rubber bands😛😁🤣🤣
Pound your own potato salad?! Cook your own takiyaki!? You only experience things like that in Japan! :D
Love the variety of food. Everything looks great
To be fair, I think the art takoyaki is one learnt over time! Not that I know myself… but seeing them doing it is always impressive. Although I’ve always wanted to give it a go so will look out for that restaurant if I make it back one day!
I love all the deep fied foods especially the octopus balls opperator error!yuuuuuum!!
All the food looks delicious I wish I could afford to go to Japan
Fried up red ginger, I can honestly say I have never had that before.
Long time watcher here. Thanks for doing restaurant videos. I was never into the whole vending machine thing, though adding your son has been internet gold! I get ideas to cook Japanese food from videos like this. I've made Gyudon at least 20 times in the last few months. Also, I think I went to school with you. We're you ever in Washington?
Yes stick based food delivery !! Yum !
Wow!!! That food looked Delicious.
I would love to go to Japan It’s definitely on my bucket list and I would love to meet up with you do a food tour
I think that was a full six! It all looked so good.
Wow, Taykoyaki is much harder to prepare than it seems but it always sounds super tasty!
Looks like fun making Takoyaki. Always wanted to try it
Great video. Probably have to get the heat just right on the takoyaki, which I bet takes a lot practice, but it was a great try. The skewers looked delicious though.
That looked amazing. I liked the idea of mashing your own potato salad
The food looked like it was very tasty & enjoyable to eat. The Japanese make it look very easy to make octopus " sphericals". If it lhad been me, I would started a campfire.
Thanks. Cooking isn’t always easy.
It's hard to beat fried food. Cheers
I know, right? ✔💯🤩
Always enjoying your Videos Eric.... youre enjoying your Life for Sure 👌
That's a fun way to eat vegetables I bet that go well with the kids
That's place I would enjoy eating at. Not ready for the slimey sea plants yet. Too bad about the DYI octopus. It could have been 6 Eric heads. ❤
that beer mug in the beginning is fantastic. i gotta find one
How fun! I think my son would love the diy takoyaki. We have a grill for it but never make it 😂 I wouldn’t mind with someone else doing the cleaning up.
I love all the kushi veggie options!!!
So Refreshing to see you take that first drink of cold beer. A big favorite here in Virginia. Enjoy my friend 😅
Food on a stick party. Sounds fun. I want to make kabobs now for dinner one day this week. Yummy.
Everything looks so good! Super jealous! So simple yet all amazing!
Oh I would have put the onions on the potato salad! Yum.
I'm sure making the grilled octopus ball is much harder than it looks. The street vendors do it for a living & make it look easy.
That beers looks tasty!!!!!
Everything looks so delicious, wish I was there.
Thank you for another interesting and delicious food video.
Octo training requirements for the next video. Haha😊
Did the cameraman eat the other halves of the skewers?! #alwaysfeedthecameraman 😂
Yes!
Watching these videos always makes me hungry! I just ate some Lasagna (a somewhat small portion, so I am still hungry)!!!
wow didn't know they fried , thanks
Fabulous looking meal!
Deconstructed potato salad and deconstructed takoyaki. You were just following the restaurant’s trend. 😂Thanks for the vids.
Were the onions in the onion salad cooked, or just marinated? The fried items in the beginning were SO crisp!
Just marinated & delish!
Great video. Food looks good.
Yikes ---takoyaki is harder than it looks. I don't like cooking my own okonomiyaki either... ;)
That actually looked like a lot of fun. As for the takoyaki.. did they maybe not have the pan oiled enough? Looked like they were sticking far more than they should have. Otherwise everything looked delicious!
Good morning Eric. Time for breakfast and a new EMT!
mmm man that looks super good 10/10
LOL! I told my sister that you won't be making octopus balls as street food! Nice try, though!
Everything looked amazing and tasty. Always a wonderful video to end the week. Hope everyone's having a wonderful day. 💙💚💛❤💜💯
My grandson and I have decided to eat our hot dogs as octopus weiners.😁😋 ha ha what a great idea.
Are there any Russian stores, deli, or restaraunts around Japan? Love your content keep the great job
The king of potato pounding!
This was an amazing meal! Everything looked great, but the octopus balls was a fail. I really wanted to see you succeed on that one. Oh well you live and you learn. Next time! #Teamgetsome #Cheersandbeers
👋 Hi Eric, hope your well and all the family too
Hilarious, watching the octopus balls fiasco!
the food looks so fun to eat on skewers, cook some of it at the table too, LOL takoyaki looks really hard to make
Posted less than an hour ago, can't wait to see this 😁
Your videos always make me so hungry. I usually end up making some ramen noodles after l watch them. Lol
Food beer seems to go well together yummy enjoy your videos
Looks great
You will be that much better next time you try the octopus balls. Don’t quit after one try.
Gotcha!
Wow that was awesome.
Takoyaki, NAILED IT! 💯😂
Woohoo! 🤪
In America, you’d get a side of ranch with the fried food. I enjoy your adventures in eating in Japan! Always learn something that helps me to order and eat Japanese food here. I found the mushroom chocolate snacks here and they are delicious. My favorite Japanese beer is Orion from Okinawa. Muddled potato salad!
Eric - "Look at this cute dish.. these are octopus wieners..." 😮
Loved the look of the deep fried and breaded fish, meat and veg. Here in the Philippines they sell deep fried banana on a stick coated in sugar, I call it diabetes on a stick.
Those balls a disaster should have been cooked for you I blame the Resturant
Lots of cool stuff all the fried fo9ds must have been heavy after you finished it all was covered with batter so you didn't know what it was
Ive watched many videos on how they make takoyaki and im sorry Eric. That was the worst. 😂 great video and thx for sharing your experiences.
I make Aebleskiver from time to time. They are the same little round pancake things. They can be sweet or savory. They are NOT easy to get right. Even after making them many times, the first couple are usually a disaster. So, don't be too hard on yourself. ❤
I've got to experience the skewers from the China buffet in Huntsville, Alabama. It's okay but they don't have what you have though but it's ok cause I don't like anyways . Discovered an Asian style store here and my granddaughter loves the everyburger candy. Thanks again for the great video, have a blessed day
Awesome job as always my friend.
Ice cold beer ftw.
Looks great. ❤️
Greetings from 🇩🇪
Greetings to you from Alabama
@@williamrhall376 Thx. 🥰
@@dasfloh3006 you are very welcome
Are table charges mandatory in restaurants? Are there any dark beers custom made in Japan?
The small appetizer called "Otoshi" (also known as “Tsukidashi” in the western Kansai region) functions as a cover charge for bars and restaurants that serve alcohol. It is a way for an establishment to recover the costs of customers occupying space at a bar or izakaya for an extended period of time. It is a widely accepted practice and is written into Japanese law.
O Eric lunch time or dinner would be so fun with you. Good video. Get some.
Octoweinie!!! Sounds like a b rated monster movie LOL
That looked fun, and yep, slightly lower heat and let them set up a lot longer. Stuff on a stick, sounds like it's time to take Mega to a state fair and try all their "stuff" on a stick.
Sorry Eric but that wasn't squid, it was clearly Octopus on the plate. Everything looked great. LOL at the takiyaki. I love it.
Wander if that beer is an Ale? Or Maybe it is all malt and doesn't use rice as a filler. Almost all American lagers use a mix of malt and rice.
The majority of Japanese produced beers are light bodied Lager styles, made using Barley Malt, rice, and Hops. The taste is similar to U.S. Budweiser.
Takoyaki😂 Guess after making a few thousand you'll get the skillz🤔
Loved the vid!! Takoyaki takes time to learn how to cook, so not bad for your first try!
Just love almost anything deep fried how can you not 😋....will be in Singapore in a week's time so I'll be stuffing myself it'll be meal time all the time 😂
No way, should have been 6/6. You could have asked for help with takoyaki, especially in Japan. Second you knew when turning takoyaki,it wasnt ready! Third tell them and show the mess, I'm sure they would have taken tray away, giving you another try. Oh well. Bring Mega, let him try
Eric I’m with you on the octopus balls I wouldn’t know how to get them right either without a time on them
