I think Shinji's actually alright for that, since it's actually pretty realistic. I mean, if I were in his shoes, I'd be at least a bit hesitant. And who wouldn't be, given the only way for him to get his father's approval that he wants so badly is by fighting strange and powerful creatures wherein failure not only means death, but the end of the world and it's all his fault. No one really wants to have to shoulder that. Also, I think in that latter part, he was physically unable to do anything.
Considering how Third Impact is basically an anti-AT field weapon, and how AT fields get stronger the more emotions the pilot has, I'd assume that the Third impact barely scratches the other pilots because of how overly hot blooded they are, unlike the semi-depressed people of Evangellion.

@@kamatakun9055 It was sufficient enough for Shigeru Aoba to see through the illusion and force Rei to change from persuasion to swarming tactic. With the sheer hotbloodness of the pilots, they have a bit more time available (IIRC, five-turn limit), before they get tanged too.

I wouldnt say Shinji does nothing. For about 80% of the series he was a kind whiny but he would still do the right thing when the chips are down it. He onlybecame what you discribed when the chips are down. Also you talk about about how this game redeems Kira even though th Alpha series is what redeemed Shinji in alot of peoples eyes.
I had perfectly intended to end it with TROMBE! But I never upgraded the Aussenseiter's attack too much. It all went to Daizengar. But the leaving it with 83 HP was too silly to cut out.
That's true, and I feel it has a bit of a meaning, since Shinji and Kira have a mentor-student relationship in Alpha 3, I think. Been a while since I bothered with the story guide.
Actualy it is a realistic protrayel of kids who have the kinds of problems that Shinki does. Lots of people who work or know those kinds of people have said that countless times. Is Shinji anoying? Yep. Is he unrealistic? Nope

Yeaaaaah, that's always kinda hard to avoid... Ideon's pretty neat on stages with a lot of enemies, since the Ide Gauge increases by two every time it gets hit by any attack. Sadly, that isn't the case in this stage, since the only enemies are the MP Evas, the Eva-01 shown in this video, and the Dummy Plug Eva-01 in the last part of the mission. So while you could get the gauge up to around 20 points for Level 2 with a turn of the MP Evas whaling on an Iron Walled Ideon... (cont.)

Yeah, I like Rebuild and all, but the series usually brings cool Eva stuff to the table that Rebuild can't really use. Particularly stuff like this, Unison Kick, Magorox, and the F-Type Equipment. But at least Rebuild did bring in some cool stuff in Z3.
Yeah, she had so much offensive potential in Alpha 3 that I think she could've been a really good long-range unit if she had a damage boosting spirit. It's really too bad she doesn't do a whole ton in Rebuild, so she gets stuck with those two attacks in L and Z3. But at least she makes for good support.
This battle can really happened because of all those mechas under Bandai license.. so cool when there was an effort to prevent 3rd impact.. thats more realistic than only wait for Shinji's decision to stop 3rd impact (ref: end of evangelion movie)
Actually, they just woke him up. SRW Shinji is well enough on mental level that the only option SEELE had to start a Third Impact was to literally knock him out before stuffing him into the entry plug.
So do Aoba, Mokoto, Fuyutsuki, and Ibuki remain LCL for the rest of Alpha 3, and speaking of LCL, did everyone else who aren't the Alpha Numbers turn into LCL, if so, what happens to them?
I don't remember if you see those four after the mission, but they might've come back just because they're on your side, and that's always cool. I actually don't even think SEELE is in the Eva storyline in Alpha 3, since a lot of Eva's events happened in Alpha 1, I believe.
Pretty much, though I generally don't use Ideon a ton anyway since I'm not the biggest fan of sending it out to get beaten up, especially if it takes too much of a beating at Level 5, since its destruction then means game over. And a lot of units can wipe out masses of enemies anyway with little to no setup, like Eva-01, Mazinkaiser, and Banpreios. Though, Ideon feels really good when you do set it up...
A satellite-like massive hammer I can understand, but I can't see any reason for a mecha riding a horse. Can someone please explain it to me? Didn't see this anime

There's a second part to this stage that uses Ode to Joy there and nowhere else, though, so maybe that's what you're looking for?
Well, it all began back in Super Robot Wars OG1, where Elzam was a boss for a large portion of the game. When he joins you as Ratsel, they forgot to remove the flag that has his BGM play over all of your characters' themes because of him being a boss. And so that flag overrides other boss flags, making his theme override everything. People liked it so much they they decided to keep this behavior for all of his other appearances as part of his character. The only thing Trombe cannot override, however, is any music that's actually playing in-universe. Like Fire Bomber songs and the like.
Honestly, for as big a deal as they make out of the "God EVA" or whatever it's supposed to actually be, I don't think I've ever had trouble with this fight, even with his double move and huge range. And he's a joke compared to the final battle of Macross 7.
Yeah, it's a pretty pathetic fight. The AT Field means absolutely nothing to the player side, the MP Eva minions are easily ignored, and the attacks are easily avoided. And oh geez, now I'm reminded of the Macross Plus stage where you have to fight a bunch of X-9 Ghosts. Those things are awful.

End of Eva was when Anno pretty much lost it and all the characters became warped and exagerated to the point were they bairy resemble there characterisation in the series. Why do people insist that Anno is a hack ased purely on Eva. Do people think it's the only thing he ever made or somthing?
Eva is one single most important work the guy's known for and it's stupidly controversial, so of course, people would judge him for that. I mean, have you seen anybody on the internet talk about Nadia or his live-action Cutie Honey outside their respective fandoms? Anno isn't too bad when you consider someone like Gen Urobuchi exists. Sure, Anno is prone to do absurd things when he's depressed, but Urobuchi is a cynic who constantly abuses quotes from famous books and pretends his characters are PhD graduates in social philosophies.

I never saw a problem, really, just put a Guard on it, defend every action, and maybe throw in a supporter or two to help just in case.

End of Eva was when Anno pretty much lost it and all the characters became warped and exagerated to the point were they bairy resemble there characterisation in the series.
Why do people insist that Anno is a hack ased purely on Eva. Do people think it's the only thing he ever made or somthing?

Eva is one single most important work the guy's known for and it's stupidly controversial, so of course, people would judge him for that. I mean, have you seen anybody on the internet talk about Nadia or his live-action Cutie Honey outside their respective fandoms?
Anno isn't too bad when you consider someone like Gen Urobuchi exists. Sure, Anno is prone to do absurd things when he's depressed, but Urobuchi is a cynic who constantly abuses quotes from famous books and pretends his characters are PhD graduates in social philosophies.
