For those wondering why this is a local station despite having connections to another line, the IRT station opened first and therefore originally had no transfers. When the IND station opened, it ran under here and the companies were unrelated to each other so they didn’t care about having convenient transfers between each other by using express stations. Since converting this station to an express one is too expensive, let alone insufficient space, it remains a local station.
