This was spot on. I wasn’t bullied, but I definitely was treated unkindly by certain people during my formative years because of a visual impairment that I have, as well as being very introverted. I have run into those “bullies” as an adult, and they are now kind and respectful towards me, oblivious to the scars they left behind years ago. I have chosen to offer them grace, as hindsight really is 20/20.
This is literally gold, I adore the headteacher videos! This is why you've been my favourite artist for 3 years, such top class acting and heartwarming storylines ❤ Can't wait for more to come 😊
One time, I was in the principal's office for bringing a knife to school. What really happened was that I took my grandpa's flashlight off of his nightstand so I could participate in "lights-off reading time." Anyways, the flashlight had a pretty strong utility magnet on it, and when I grabbed it from the dark of my grandpa's room because he was sleeping at the time, I didn't see that his pocket knife was attached to the flashlight. 3 days later, after the knife and flashlight had separated at the bottom of my backpack, I went to dump the sand out of my backpack in the hallway only for a pocket knife to fall out onto the floor. I was reported within minutes and nearly expelled. Luckily, my grandpa came to the school to bat for me because he asked if I meant to bring the knife and could tell I wasn't lying when I said no. It also seemed like an obvious lie for me to make up where a flashlight was magnetic and my grandpa kept a knife out on his nightstand, but he put the two on the table in the principal's office and the two stuck together like glue. After my teacher verified that it was the flashlight I used for reading time, I was off without even a scratch on my record.
The topic of bullying is a tricky topic. How to handle it, saying the right things in the situation. It’s definitely a fragile and touchy subject. I can see throughout the video it was tough finding and framing the right words. It’s a challenging topic but your informed idea still managed to touch on certain areas of how the bully thinks, what’s right and wrong, Infusing some analogies to somewhat have a backboard, seeing the similarities between the two. I like how you touched on the emotional and physical and intellectual strength of handling something like this. When you mentioned how it’s the trauma that radiates when a bully is directing their anger onto the other person reminded me in another video how you touched on bullying. It was on how we shouldn’t feel sorry for that person. Cause feeling sorry for how they feel or what they do just them as a person makes them seem less than instead of being an equal human being with feelings and a past. Retaliation in of itself doesn’t make it better. No one wins as you concluded. Either way you still handled and carried this topic well!, and I really liked the ending a lot. That positive affirmation even if the “student” (the viewer) is dealing with the consequences. The cost and payoff of it all. Great job!
Excellent topic to discuss with many layers. While I wasn't neccesarily "bullied" in school, I was left out of many situations and/or shunned behind my back because I was quieter, its very nuanced. Great stuff as always Jeremiah ❤(BTW: Suits is kind of a crappy/melodramatic drama)
Ive been bullied since kindergarten. Im in highschool now... still getting bullied. I fought back once. One time. Barely did anything. Got my parents called. But, my parents were on my side.
Jeremiah, I want to thank you 🙏 for tackling a subject here that is very complicated and affects so many children and adults alike. I have dealt with bullying while working with students and also have experienced bullying in the work place. 😢When we work with young students being bullied, the consequences can be devastating. Also, children can be quite sneaky when bullying others, so sometimes it can go unnoticed. I know you could have played this character as a very authoritative principal, but you chose a character that is kind, fair and explains both sides of the story to the child (us). You chose a gentle, kind and compassionate attitude while still being firm. Exactly what is needed in this situation. I wish I had a principal like you while I was still a classroom teacher. Thank you ❤
I was never really bullied, but there has been some high school drama. I hope that those in the comments who have been are doing well today, and those who once harmed you have changed their ways ❤️
This was so good! I would very much agree to the idea that hurt people hurt people. All they know is hurt, so that's what they spread. It's hard to break that cycle with some people. They need grace just as much as anyone and resorting to violence doesn't solve it. There were several lines you said, specifically that hurt people hurt people, that sounded like my pastor at church that were part of his sermon series on dealing with conflict. I hope to see more in the principal series.
This brings back memories... Being in the principels office... Why? Cause i stood up to a bully... By armlocking him and submitting him in the lunchroom... Self defense is good, But never allowed when you know what your doing aged 13..
This was a little bit too anxiety-inducing for me rather than relaxing. Squirming in your seat in the principal’s office is torture! I love your role plays otherwise. ☺️

"Look at me, Look at me-" bro I'm on the spectrum, it's starting to hurt
Prolonged eye contact is awkward anyways.

I wish i had had this kind of principle when I was younger 😢❤
I had a dejavu of watching this video a couple of years ago. Hello 👋
I don't like bullying it not ok at any age it not just going on at school it goes on in work places to
I've experienced bullying from other fellow teachers in the past. It made it difficult to go to work some days.
