Dyson remote control not working

I bought a replacement remote and sadly it doesn’t work. We even replaced the battery. Is there a tutorial on connecting the remote to the device?

The faulty one I got was very cheap like less than $3 from China. I suspect its a scam. Managed to get a refund. In the end I got a replacement from Dyson customer care
