Such bold work is often very necessary from both within and outside the work economy, as at times, we become so engrossed in the system, we become victims of it! More power to you Kunal!
I live in a village and no gig workers exist here except the regular courier delivery boys. Every time I get my parcel, i smile at them to make them somewhat happy. But from now on, I would also ask them whether they want water or not. 😊 Thanks for doing awareness for these things, these are the people that are literally ignored in today's world!! I am a swiggy delivery rider and I had met with an accident few years back and when I called the customer care and informed them about it they sent another rider to take the order from me but no one asked about me weather I need an ambulance or am I ok . Bhot exploitation karte mc log
Lack of Education,Lack of employment,Lack of good job opportunity and exploitation occur due to this.They are stuck in slavery in the name of partner.Companies take advantage of their compulsion.Someone's advantage over someone else's compulsion, this is the dark reality of this society.

It somewhat made me feel guilty because I live in a rented apartment, and the delivery bhaiyas are not allowed to use the lift. It's difficult for me to tell them to take the stairs, but what can I do? I later decided to tell them to come up with the lift and go down with stairs. The communities decided to take that step because some delivery bhaiyaas or other workers don't shut the lift properly. Still, it's not right, and I often feel guilty about telling them. And if any delivery bhaiyas are reading this then pls know that we are sorry.
Lol its never about "they might mishandle the lift". Its about the idea of "We are extraordinary and if a labour also uses the same facilties as us then their lies no difference in us". Its about the desire to feel "superior and different". Am not directing this to you (infact the same thing happens at my uncles apartment) but citing the general mindset of people across nations.
I agree but I don't think it's that simple, some people mishandle but the remedy should be to suggest that they take care of the lift but they were saying this. I think the only thing we can do is small efforts on our part.@@preetgamer1495

But this business is like Thermodynamics - for one party to gain benefit, another party has to work hard and get less benefits. Food delivery will succeed by not paying fairly to rider: that is how the delivery app will make money. The platform should ideally do more profit sharing but they have duopoly so, I don't see this changing anytime soon. Lol, this is similar to farming system - the only difference is that in farming, farmers get nothing; but delivery/logistics still make money. But in food delivery, the logistics lose and the restaurant along with the platform wins.
Unite and fight for your rights. If you all stop working for three days the sahabs of this country will try to appreciate your work and submit to your demands to some extent at least.
