Mr. Brown said cut the cheese. Hehehehe
I know, I'm 5. I love watching y'all together. Makes me feel like I'm at home with mama and daddy. Your channel is such a nice place to go and just escape all you He craziness going on in the world for a little while. I hope y'all know how much this audience loves you both, myself included. Y'all bring so much comfort to so many people. And what y'all are teaching folks, well that's just priceless. Worth it's weight in gold really. Some folks weren't able to grow up with a mama and daddy who taught them how to garden, cook, can, clean, make remedies for when you're ailing, make homemade icecream or homemade laundry detergent. You get my point. I know you enjoy doing it, most of the time. Just know, both of you, how much we appreciate you and how much we look forward to spending a little time with Miss Lori and Mr. Brown. God bless you both. ❤
We appreciate your kindness
And it fills our hearts
And I told him while editing
I said you said cut the cheese lol he laughed
@WhippoorwillHoller So funny. 😆
Hanks breed are real people dogs, they like to be with they're people all the time inside and outside.
We've always been a deer jerky family but I've used London broil cuts of beef many times when the venison is gone or we only have sausage made out of the whole thing. London broil is very lean and makes easy work of slicing when partially frozen. 😋
I’m glad you shared your tip!
I pray that Hank will get a clean bill of health. It's been a long time since I've made jerky. I don't have a dehydrator so I did it in the oven at about 200 degrees overnight. It turned out really good. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, he's doing much better now!
If you think Hank might have heartworms, please don't wait for him to start coughing! A cough means the lungs are being damaged. Good luck with him! He's so good looking!
We have a appointment
Yes, please get Hank in, heartworms can get into the heart and lungs. I have worked in vet clinics and rescue for years and I've seen the damage and death these cause. I'm in W Central Nebraska and heartworm is very bad here.
Love the jerky! I'll have to try this and add my own honey from my bee hives!! 🐝You guys are so fun to watch. I'm from Arkansas but have lived in Illinois for the last 50 years so I love listening to ya''ll talk. 🤣
Honey Yes!
Thank you Mr. Brown for walking us through your jerky process. I really enjoyed the way you make yours.
Good morning ☕ Mrs Lori & Mr Brown

You'll love making your own!
My husband made beef jerky, and we donated it to our church. Bake sales. The kids just bought everyone we had at five dollars an ounce. It was a great moneymaker for my alter society.
That is so awesome!
Prayers for you all. Enjoy each other, Gods' blessings
Thank you
Looks great
I watch and enjoy all of your videos.
It looks wonderful
Thanks!
Thank you!!
My husband and I used to make beef jerky in our oven by hanging the meat on the racks back in the 90’s lol. It always turned out but could get messy. Loved this video!!!
Yes we use to use the oven method too!
It looks good it didn't shrink too awfully bad.😊
Mr. Brown your jerky looks so yummy... I will give this recipe a try, everyone loves when we give them jerky... I pray for Hank he's a beautiful fur baby ❣️ !!! I've got a 14 year old that has been going through congestive Heart Failure,he has been the best dog to me and my husband 💕... We are making him as comfortable as we can,vet said we are doing a great job in caring for him..

Thank you so much!
Jerky looks good...can't wait to see your cottage garden ❤ Bonnie

Have you thought about making homemade dog food for Hank? It is cheaper than commercial food and better for him. Just wondering?
Do you have a recipe for the dog food? I'd love to try it!
Looks yummy guys ❤
Prayers for Hank 🙏🏻
Hes better but still going to vet
I just purchased a meat slicer after I decided to try my hand at homemade bacon and didn’t get consistent slices with a knife. I Haven’t used it yet but this may give me an excuse to break it out! Thanks for posting all these different ideas and sharing your home with us! Much love!
I hope you enjoy!
Thank you for the Hank update! Being out in the area you live, with woods and all, getting him on heartworm and tick/flea is so important. Heartworm can be fatal, as I'm sure you know. So, what was the project you mentioned a while back that you were going to show, with moving gas lines and such?
Kitchen it's done
I'm excited about your backyard too! I like it when you and Mr. brown do a video together. As always...God bless. 🥰
We're glad you enjoy those videos too!
I make deer jerky a lot. We love it
Good stuff!
Looks yummy ❤❤❤
Yes it is!
Love good homemade jerky! Your house is so beautiful & designed amazing!

I can’t thank you both enough for all of the wonderful knowledge that you share with us.
Mr Brown, you have my husband ready to make some jerky now. Going to order him some marinade now.
Keep us posted on Hank. He’s a beautiful and smart dog.
Thank you again 😊for
I appreciate your kind words and we'll keep you updated on Hank!
I put mine in a gallon ziplock freezer bag so I can keep flipping it everytime I pass fridge through out the day and evening and again next morning , it just makes it easy for me 😊 thanks for vid, hubby has been asking for Jerky I will make him up some this weekend
Yes we do that too
Thanks for the video- I will have to try doing this sometime 🥰
You're welcome!
Making a little batch of pork tenderloin trimmings today. I cut 1 inch sections of the tenderloin as my countrified replacement for beef filet mignon. That leaves little tips and bits to make into a snack.
Sounds like a great idea, I'm sure it will be delicious!
My husband grinds deer meat and uses a jerky gun to make jerky. He really likes it. He uses the Lem products too.
Yummy!! I love beef Jerky and peppered beef jerky and even Turkey jerky. Thank you for showing us your process. :)
You are so welcome!
I had my last batch of jerky in the fridge for months and it stayed fresh the whole time.
God bless you Mrs lori & Mr. Danny
Yummy looking jerky ,
Ive never made homemade jerky , as need to invest in dydrator ,
Our oldest son has a slicer & I know he would love getting jerky .
I gave him our beef liver from our cow we got last week ,they went in on the cow ,so I let him have the organ meat .
Will a walmart dydrator work on making jerky ???
Started our seeds back then end of December for here in Texas, im watching & listening to yall while I uppot the tomato plants into 18oz red solo cups .
I always have a plant sale .an only charge ( if I charge lol as I love teaching the younger generation, $2 a plant )
Compared to $6 * up at the box stores.
Plus i grow different kinds they cant get from the stores .
Makes alitte extra money with stuff so high right now .
Big hugs
Mrs josette
Texas 🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️
Ypur ahead of the game josette
You can also do it in the oven
175 6 hours
Mr. Brown, you're 💯% correct! 😆 It will only last a week in my refrigerator as well 😆🤣🙏🇿🇦🇺🇲
I know, I know
Thanks. Some have been wanting some jerky.Cant wait to see garden. I have started on one too
Thank you
I have the same dehydrated and I love it!
❤
Thank you for sharing
I’m wanting to do this with deer meat too. Haven’t done it at all so I’ll be starting from scratch, need a slicer and a dehydrator. My husband and I both love jerky. Thank you both for all of the help you give your subscribers. Much love and many prayers for you both. ❤
@@ladysmith3578 that would be good
@ I definitely plan to try it.
Ms. Lori, I made your apple cake recipe, also added cinnamon and nutmeg to it as well. I did not have pecans, but did have walnuts so I added those both to the batter and the glaze. It was a big hit with my husband and I. I also bought a ceramic baking pan with a floral design on it which is very colorful, much like your baking pans are. It sounds like your rain has finally abated. Boy, was it loud on your roof the other day during your video. Glad it stopped for awhile.
Wonderful Im.so glad yall enjoyed it!
Wow, we love beef jerky. Deer meat is a wonderful jerky. I want to make this so bad. I would have to buy me a meat slicer that slices that thin, and I would also have to buy the dehydrator. I do know that some people would hang their meat up for days or weeks to get it dry. I don't think that's very sanitary. There's nothing like a wonderful beef jerky.
You can dehydrate in your oven between 175 to 200 for 6 hours
@WhippoorwillHoller thank you for that information.
Excited to try this! Thanks! I don't have a slicer but will make do 😊
❤❤❤❤
I love Jerky!!! I also use bottom round when I can get it on sale or half off, I am in Ontario Canada... I got a slicer specifically to slice for Jerky... My marinade is very close to to yours, except I don't us the curing salt and liquid smoke, I don't like the taste of it... I throw in a can of Dr Pepper and marinate over night.. it is amazing.. TY for sharing your recipe 🙂
I now want to try the dr pepper marinade. It sounds yummy!
I like deer jerky
We do too
Ooh, that jerky looks so good, so good. I am so excited & happy about your garden. Hoping to see yall soon.
Thank you!
With the very cold temps outside these days we're hoping Hank has a warm place inside. Hope his vet visit is soon and goes well.
He is well kept
And feeling better
Hope all is well with Hank. Mr.Brown sure can make some jerky, it looks good. Would love to see more Bible studies of his.
Thank you
Hi Mr Brown. I make Beef Jerky too. I do t make much anymore cause too hard for us to chew at 74 and 78. Have fun and Ha e a good day.
Thank you
Looks good
yummy! My husband has made alot of beef jerky in the past but the beef cost has been unreal. He made up his own recipe using liquid smoke and he put in a paper bag and added a little white pepper. And dehydrated in the garage because we couldn't handle the whole house smelling like liquid smoke 😸
That's so smart to put it in the garage!

Looks very tasty mouth watering 👍🇺🇸
Yummy ANOTHER VERY INTERESTING VIDEO THANK YOU GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
❤❤❤❤❤😊
I love homemade jerky. I hand slice mine in long pieces. I prefer homemade brine. They also make a powdered Worcestershire sauce. I also make my own teriyaki sauce. Hank could have parasites. My dog was acting the same way last year. I took him to the vets and the parasites had also cause an infection. He was on meds for the parasites and antibiotics. If it is heartworm or parasites you need the meds or you could lose him. Good job Mr. Brown. Lol made my mouth water. I never have used the dehydrator. I am going to have to try that. I normally use the smoker cycle, then the heat cycle. So have to try the new way. I use brisket for the meat. Lol in my house, jerky never lasted more than 3 days. I swear the kids smell it from across town. They also congregate when I make homemade bread.
Yes we are having g him checked
And yes I have powdered liquid smoke powdered soy sauce and powdered worcestershire sauce from Amazon
Thank you
@WhippoorwillHoller ❤It was something I found a few months back. Didnt know they had it in powder form. I was pleasantly surprised. Just passing on in case you didnt know but, lol, you are way ahead of me.
Looks delicious! I haven’t had jerky in years. It’s good to have recipes for food preservation. I’m interested in checking out your homemade jerky marinade. Thanks!
Ms Lori, I made you lemon, ginger and honey ferment. Strained it and put it in the refrigerator. Can you tell me how long it will keep. It's been in there since the end of November. We love your videos. Thanks for sharing. God bless
It should not go bad will last for months
Thank you
😋😋😋😋😋😋 Looks yummy!!!!!!
I’m gonna go get me one of those meat slicers ours quit working here a while back we had over 20 years. Your beef jerky looks delicious.
They’re great to have!
I marinade in a Ziploc bag. My problem is I can't stop eating it. I might try vacuum sealing for a faster marinade. Maybe. 😊 Normally I marinade over night.
Thank you for the jerky method. All good thoughts for Hank ❤.
I'm loving your pear display from the last couple vodeos 😊!!!
He's doing better!
Thanks guys! Going to make me some jerky now!! 😊
That table rocks. I want one!
Cotton and Crete
My aunt used to smoke her ducks and then freeze the meat. When we went to eat the meat, she would have it thawed and sliced pretty thin and we would eat the meat on small squares of butter bread...FANTASTIC!!!!
Sounds delicious!
Love jerky. My husband does our on the smoker.
I made a batch of jerky like that and it only lasted about 2 days, it was good
I know it's so good and a good snack
I loved watching this video about making beef jerky. It looked so good and I was wishing for a bite. I hope Hank gets well. ❤ I love you both. May God bless you and Miss Lori and Hank.
Thank you for your kind words, we appreciate you!
I hope hank improves pretty dog God bless everyone
He got a bill of good health from the vet!
Could you please put the recipe for homemade jerky seasoning, in the comments below. Would love to try it. I made beef jerky quite slot when I could. But would love to try a different seasoning now. I got board with the store bought ones. Thanks
It's in my description box below the video
Mr Brown have you ever tried making the jerky in your oven on the lowest temp? I won't have a dehydrator and my oven will go down to 170. I do use that temp to make my beef summer sausage. Thank you so much.
We did before we got the dehydrater
Can you tell us about your “retro” stove in your kitchen? (Not the wood stove, but the vintage looking one…it may be propane?) Is it a refinished one? Or is it a new one made to look vintage? I love that stove!! Enjoy your channel so much!
Yes it's a old propane vintage stove made by Heartland I don't think they make them anymore
I do love cooking on it
It's not a chefs dream but I love it
That would last till filled the baggie. My kids love jerky!
I don't like jerky , but that looks good.. thank you 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️😆🐾
Mrs. Lori so you know of the Woodland Hills area of Hardy flooded in the past? I was looking at a property for sale there. I don't live in the state so not familiar at all. Also is it far from your church? Thank you Mrs. Lori and Me. Brown. Love and hugs❤
Hello from WV.
Hi!
Brings back memories when my brother was doing a tour in Bosnia I made him beef Jerry and sent it over. It was a bug hit.
Wonderful!
That looks good I'd eat it Rae love rare steak and love jerkey❤
I think I'll try making some with ground venison. Teriyaki, I'll let you know. It will be next week
Sounds great!
❤ your Show.. but I have to leave to do errands…I will check you out when I get home…
Thank you so much
I marinate my Jerry like 3 days before I dehydrate.
Prayers for hank
Thanks
@WhippoorwillHoller any time
Could you dehydrate in oven at low temp if you don’t have a dehydrator ?
175 6 hours
@@WhippoorwillHoller ty
Mr Brown and Miss Lori, can this be done in the oven or do you have to have a dehydrator? 💕🙏🏼🙏🏼
It can be done in an oven. Just turn the temp to the lowest setting, that is usually around 170° and prop the oven door open about 1
1/2 to 2 inches.
Yes 175 6 hours
I remember a few years ago I made some deer jerky for Christmas gifts. I would pack a bag and eat a piece. Did that for about 15 bags so I ended up eating A LOT! I didn’t realize that one of the ingredients was “accent” which is MSG. The next day I ended up calling everyone and told them, “don’t eat the jerky. There is something wrong with it!” I was just allergic to MSG and it made me have to stay in the bathroom all night and day! All the jerky went into the trash and I still can’t believe all that work and meat went to waste! If I had only knew.
Oh no, I’m so sorry, it’s tough to lose a whole batch like that!
Put it in a baggie and squeeze all the air out. Then you won't have to stir it
Beef Jerky can stay in the freezer for 3 months to 6 months after throughly dried. Just love you guys!❤
Yes it doesn't last that long here
Everybody loves it! I do pit it in the freezer too
Ms Lori lol Mr. Brown was telling you how long it will take him to eat it all.
