Hi Chris, I just wanted to say your music has helped my wife and I through x3 miscarriages. Gone to soon played at my son-to-be funeral, and Alive has given us strength. I hope it is only the clarity of the lyrics presented, the come and go quickly and glitch for people who want it slower or in paragraph form. The dislikes are annoying, and the song and the lyrics are fantastic.

Ahhhhh.....now THAT'S more like it. I hear me some Break the Spell and earlier Daughtry and that's by far the best Daughtry which has been sorely lacking since that record. Here's hoping this album is a return to that form

The Dearly Beloved album is just unreal, every single one of the songs is a masterpiece, this one especially is just too beautiful, too powerful! Thank you for always giving us the best music Daughtry!
Sounds very promising, prefer it when he adopts the heavier rock approach.
I want him to be able to have a voice to keep singing with, so am glad when he mixes it up. With headphones on (screw ear buds) or him in concert in an indoor venue, it's impossible to not love it all.

This song represents the day I met PAIN, I lost my 19 year old son, and on the day I washed his lifeless body at the Morg and dressed him in preparation , with the deepest love a person could have for the respect of death when looking at it in the face - this is what the experience was. This song . Thank you for always putting into words my feelings. It’s been that way since you came into my world . You speak my heart language . Thank you Chris. I want you to know right before Dakota died he had sent me one of your songs and said, mom I miss you so much I heard daughtry mom and it made me remember being little mom . I love you so much .

The lioness part reminded me of how I became strong after a huge part of my school district attacked me verbally with heavy levels of bullying. And the mercy part reminded me of my team from the mountains who cared about me when no one else did and they still care about me today.

I love the woman being described in this song. Dangerous yet merciful. A woman who's been hurt and got over it, and became a lioness yet she sought no revenge. Could totally relate to that, when people wrong you and you're eventually in a position to cut them down to size but you hold no ill feelings or desire to hurt them. However unlike the guy in this song, most people wouldn't humble themselves and appreciate the mercy given to them.
I love this song...forgive and move on to better ground! Let the past be a lesson.

Hearing this makes me so happy - back on track and using his one-of-a-kind voice for what God made it for: to mtfckng ROCK! And in todays business, it's such a brave to do it, though. I got introduced to this song from a dear beloved one ❤️ (love him so much). When you have so much going on & sometimes you are filled with years of agony in you of how things would have been from a calculated step taken or otherwise. I have lost a beloved one 11 years ago & I haven’t forgiven myself of what I could have done better or just been better or everything. Sometimes the feeling is so elevated I start to question why be good, why am I doing good & for what reason.
