‘One Province, One Song’ («Մեկ Մարզ, Մեկ Երգ») is a project by the Argentinian-Armenian singer-songwriter Alin Demirdjian. The project aims to discover the diversity of the local musical scene and the cultural identity of each province (‘marz’) in Armenia and Artsakh.

VARDAN GALSTYAN:
Singer-songwriter Vardan Galstyan lived in Kashatagh during his school years. He inherited the music from his parents and wrote the first song at age nine. As a poet and composer, accompanied by his guitar, the songs are the ones that gather everyone around him whenever he has something to say. His lyrics are deep and committed to his reality, and some of his songs can be heard here:

ABOUT KASHATAGH:
Kashatagh is a province of the de facto Republic of Artsakh. It is the largest province by area (3,376.60 km2) and it’s population is 10,489. The largest and most important city is Berdzor (Lachin). The development of the economy is based on the mining industry and, in terms of agricultural activities, the most developed are: cultivation, gardening, cattle-breeding, beekeeping and poultry farming. One of the biggest attractions of the region is the Tsitsernavank Monastery (5th century).
