I'm a fan of beatboxing since the Got Talent " MJ" beatboxer. never was skilled in it. but i was always impressed and still am as I can also understand theory and the lonely places all beatboxers have been in to dedicate themselves on it
I can actually attend to the neck hypertrophy affecting your bass frequencies - my neck grew 3 inches in diameter since I started training (most of which happened in the last year because I was spamming zercher stuff - recently worked up to 280kg zercher hold). I've been beatboxing for 4+ years and I think the biggest improvement in my vocal basses happened right around when my neck became bigger

While inward bass is a staple of his style, I don't feel like he's restricted to just doing inward bass in battles in the same way that the other two inward bass gods are. In the Haten battle, both Vocodah and Inertia's performances seemed inconsistent to me in ways that Remix's just doesn't. Not that they were bad and not that I could do better (I'm huge fans of both) - it's just that I feel that they weren't as clean/the timing wasn't as good as they could've been. Every time I've seen Remix battle, he's been consistent, strong, and skilled. His beats may not be the most original in the beatbox scene, but they're certainly crowd pleasers. He really has a TON of potential, and even if he doesn't win this year's GBB, he's gonna win GBB at some point - mark my words!
just because its 4-1 doesnt mean its not a close battle. for all we know the judges could've really had a hard time deciding between the two beatboxers. This battle is insanely close even if it ends up being 5-0.
I wish Remix would try new things instead of doing the same stuff all the time, don't get me wrong I get that having your own style is good but with Remix it's so insanely predictable.

yeah the reason why I think Zer0 isn’t tapping into his potential is because he doesn’t do enough stage performance battles … he’s getting more comfortable… remix and vocodah both had this problem… mainly because all 3 of them are online beatboxers

Imo the first 35 seconds of Zero`s second round killed himself, doing such a Long and extremely simple introduction that takes up more than 35% of your round gives me a feeling he underestimated Remix, because if he mixed the beats he did after throughout the whole 1:30 round it would feel more balanced and less wasted. Remix used about 100% of his both rounds creating more value for himself as well as bringing more energy than Zero
i get it might be hard to do some of the stuff but remix just really lacks a lot of musicality and flow, it just seems a bit dead in the water a lot of the time. He has to get away from this idea that he can just do a random bit of bass to win. its just a random bit of bass - bit of beatboxing without flow - slightly diff bass that doesn't really fit any flow and so on.

Remix battling is always fun to watch.
