Omg, that really adds some perspective. I was thinking back to going to this park when i was a young punk. We are so thankful we could visit for a couple weeks. It was definitely a challenge with covid restrictions and my first adventure in solo parenting for an extended period of time, but such a valuable experience. I hope we can visit in a more unrestrained carefree way next time.. and seeing snow is on every Filipino’s bucket list haha, so we’ll have to make our way up to the mountains to visit 🖤🖤
This was unexpected Mike lol. So enjoyed seeing Luna's experience in the west coast. I'm guessing Luna has seen her grandparents online before since she rushed to hug her grandma at the airport. Plus, I think Luna is not he only one who needs a haircut haha 9:48 & 9:59. You had your hair tucked away earlier in the video.
Hahah touche! I haven’t had a haircut since sinulog 2020 right before the Pandy shut everything down. I might consider getting a haircut this year haha. Yeesssss Luna has spent time with them before in other countries, but never in Cali. She really enjoyed seeing them again ☺️
Hi Mike, just out of curiosity but how are you able to go from the Philippines to US and vice versa given all the restrictions PH has for foreigners? Hope all is well and welcome back.
Hi Ray, spouses of filipino citizens and parents of a filipino citizen who is a minor are permitted to enter. There were many documents to secure and steps to take, but if all the paperwork is in order there is no problem. Obviously it’s a fluid situation so i can only share my experience at that time, and can’t really advise based on anyone else’s situation, but luckily we had no problems getting out and back in ✌️
Yes, lots of time between uploads these days unfortunately. Im blessed with many other responsibilities hahah. We had fun and so cool Luna got to experience some things in the U.S. and visit with family ✌️
I thought PH had genuine pizza Mike. You know, with real mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce and everything. I've watched videos of Italians married to Filipinos running either their own restaurants or pizza places. I also thought the chains like Dominos or Pizza Hut would have access to authentic ingredients and should taste like ones in US. Lastly, I thought pizzas from warehouses like S&R taste similar to the ones in US like Costco.
You’re not wrong! I guess i am too harsh to categorically suggest that there isn’t good pizza here or authentic style pizza... but in general it is sweeter and heavy on the dough, light on the sauce. Also, from my experience, most places uses frozen dough, canned ingredients, and the dough lacks any crunch or texture. Anyway, all the major chains are here, but im not crazy about them. S&R is pretty good, but there’s still something lacking 🤔 i appreciate all the delicious food here and creative cooking styles and use of indigenous ingredients, but yeah.. there are a few hometown spots i miss and was excited to try again ☺️
