Is this Fujianese Xiangju (芗剧), since it sounds so similar to Taiwanese gezai xi? I guess this troupe, the Xingzhou Xin Qilin Fujian Jutuan (星洲新麒麟福建剧团), was based in Singapore, and this was released in 1951.

芗剧 is actually Gezaixi as it's a term call in Fujian China. 星洲新麒麟福建剧团 is indeed from Singapore.

@@v.r.m4944 But were the members of this troupe immigrants from southern Fujian or Taiwan? That should have influenced the name they would have called their opera form.
