i watched this video exactly 3 years ago and I though that peinting semi realism is outside of my reach. Today I paint in semi realism. Everybody can learn to draw. The diffrence is in how fast we learn. Whoever feels down and not motivated, please do not give up on paitning (like me) because you see all these amazing people making amazing art. You are capable of progression. Please keep painting and enjoy the process :)

I normally draw anime but give up on the line art and i really want to learn semi realism but sadly my blending skills suck and I'm still learning to use the filers (overlay, darken, etc.)

You shouldn't apologize for you voice, you don't sound young to me, just kind and sweet. :)
Thanks for this tutorial, I've never tried digital painting with grayscale so it's interesting to see your technique. I'll have to give it a try now.

Love seeing the process, this was helpful to see and makes it seem a bit less scary. I so want to be able to shade normally but it's never blended between colors as I would like so this greyscale approach looks worthwhile. I also loved that you drew a guy for us! Lovely work, especially with the shading!

omg thank you so much! I watched a lot of tutorials since I'm new to digital art and was struggling with turning gray scale to colour. but those didn't really help much but yours was really detailed so I could easily follow the instructions. I was really looking forward to this video. and thank you so much again! it was amazing!

Since I’m still kind of an amateur at digital art and trying to self teach myself a few things, this actually helped a little bit in a way to understand why some digital artists paint in a grayscale palette first before coloring but still curious about what it truly does. I just base color and add shadows and highlights afterwards instead but I’m trying to find newer ways to get my artwork to people’s attention. I use ibisPaint to draw on instead of photoshop. I’ve worked on photoshop before in school and didn’t have much of a chance to do artwork on it.
