The guy who portrayed as “her lover” is Kim Taehyung or more known as V of BTS. He released his first solo album last year called Layover that has a lofi cool vibe. You can check out his live performance on NPR Tiny Desk. To see these 2 singing live, you can check out IU Palette where they sing Ending Scene. These two not only look good together acting, they also sing together beautifully.

Note, they were not formally or officially wedded, they were just playing dress-up, including the wedding party they were making up in their minds, until the cube found them. While the MV shows a dystopic apocalyptic scenario, it is only there as a visual. It is there at face value. They could have used a different story & genre other than sci-fi to match with the song & lyrics. The song meaning can be interpreted to be anything you want. Other commenters around UA-cam have interpreted it to be about a couple that stays together until their deaths from old age, so the cube is interpreted as death itself, which no mortal creature nor plant can escape that fate. The digital camera is their happy lives together as seen or recorded in their minds & in history. The pile of clothes represents all the others who have been eventually taken by death. If you know BTS, that pile of clothes was seen in one of their music videos from years ago, so that is a shout-out to BTS fans, although that pile was an inspiration from the works of the artist Boltanski which then BTS used in their MV years ago. If you wonder why I am talking BTS, that is because the guy in the video is from BTS. Kim Taehyung, also famously known as V, his stage name. He has also acted, not only in BTS music videos, but also on television commercials & he also did a television Korean historical drama some years ago. That is why he did a nice professional acting job in this music video too. I don't know why they chose a cube, but it is a simple object, no need to make it look fancy or like some UFO. A simple design, yet sublime & dangerous. For me, based on the face value of the music video, I can interpret the cube has being hostile extraterrestrials or our own A.I. finally becoming awoke. Many commenters & reactors, including some other metal music youtube reactors who are also BTS fans, have said they would love to see this MV turned into a full-length cinematic movie release. IU & BTS are good friends & colleagues, that is why V collaborated on this video with her. He of course did not sing in here so as to put all the focus on IU. All the BTS members are currently doing military duties & will return by mid 2025, of which if you are not aware, BTS is a military concept & themed band, so for them to actually go to real military makes them go back full circle to their band concept & band name. This music video is now close to 21 million views after about 2 days since release.

Did you realize your mistake when you first reacted to IU? I was subscribed to you, I, a person who was once fond of metal (I am much older than you, I was born in the Soviet Union and I remember the times when we copied cassettes of Scorpions, Metallica, Pantera and other western bands), had interesting reactions to new bands, for example, thanks to you i liked LOVEBITES. What I want to say is when you made a reaction to IU, (and I've been listening to her for about a year now, she's a phenomenal singer, I've listened to her entire discography, I won't tell you more, we have wikipedia) you insulted her as a singer songwriter even though you reacted to such crap , and nothing like that was said! I'll tell you honestly, I also tried listening to k-pop BTS and others, but I didn't like it, I don't like group singing in general. Your reaction would be to simply rate as you have always done and not allocate prehours. I don't think that this video will get a lot of views from you, although this clip is now trending all over the world, I wish you luck. Sorry for my English

It was mostly likely the song I chose randomly to listen to her first. Apologies but I just try and be honest and sometimes, some songs don’t hit me like others do. This was by far my favorite track that I’ve heard of hers so far ❤️🤘

We are all people on this small planet, and when each person grows up, he looks for another person to look up to, I have not been a fan of anyone in this world for a long time, but I respect independent people who made themselves like Bill Gates, Elon Musk. I myself am a historian by profession and I understand well how cruel this world is. Before the beginning of the 90s, South Korea was not much different from the Korean Republic, read it for yourself. Who is IU? She is an unfailing performer, a strong and hardworking woman who created herself (she is cute but this woman is very strong, she completely controls her career and her pocket agency) who gradually came out on the international market and its music is different from k-pop. I recommend you to react to her live performance of My sea on her UA-cam channel! By the way, you are the second person to respond to my comment. I wish you luck in the development of the channel and one small piece of advice, when you react to someone, read wikipedia to at least have some idea of who this person is.
