Tears from our eyes, Come rolling down, Like little drops of rain, When we hear the sound, Avatar fans, have nothing to defend Against Uncle Iroh's, ability to tearbend. (-read/sing in Uncle Iroh's voice as in Leaves from the Vine for full effect)
You can feel the pain in Iroh after losing his son. This still hits hard knowing the original voice actor died. And the fact that they played Leaves From The Vine during this scene just makes us all tearbend. 😢😢😢
There's a fine balance between paying homage to the original for the fans and making things understandable for the newbies. Not sure where that line is.
I LOVE the fact that Zuko sits next to his uncle. Like "I'm your son now". And deffinitely needed each other. What a wholesome uncle-nephew portrait of many others like that around the world, like aunties and uncles also that step up and sometimes they're more "mother" or "father" than your own ones. Love it.
I didn’t even catch Leaves from the Vine when I first watched this and it still hit hard. Say what you will about the live action adaptation, I had my problems with it too, but they nailed this scene and the accompanying emotion. And notice that there were 2 other chairs by Iroh and only Zuko stayed by him. But man I don’t know if I can get through this video. This scene is so sad.

" Fire nation bad im not supposed to feel this " lmao he always got me weak 😂 but nah Iroh was never really evil he had a complicated past but never truly evil and Zuko well we know damn well he wasn't evil it was his shitty ass father the loser lord who traumatized, corrupted and manipulated him into a false destiny.
I wish that all the projecting haters of the show would just shut up. It was successful whether or not the small peanut gallery likes it. It’s has its faults but not that bad.
I mean I can see that, but I still think there’s plenty they can do with Iroh later on. They’ll just have to move some other things around and maybe expand or create another storyline.

I genuinely though they'd have someone sing the song during this, and I am SO glad they didn't. This song will always be reserved for mako.
"Fire Nation bad, I'm not supposed to feel this towards them." Don't know why that shit made me laugh as much as it did 😂
W for netflix for choosing the PERFECT cast for this show
I hate that they hurt us with this song but also loved the scene. Well done Netflix.
Unless you have REALLY good ears, and you've watched the original cartoon, no one would understand the significance of "Leaves From the Vine".

My older brother currently serves and he to me is *The soldier boy that comes marching home* .
This channel has been PUMPING out content nonstop for the past few days it feels like
I am not crying, you are.
I am.....Profusely.
The Netflix version did a lot of things wrong, but this scene and pretty much any involving Zuko and Iroh they NAILED it.
Can you do the reactions scene when Iroh told the captain of their ship the reason why they were working for Zuko?
Omg please! That was one scene I wish was in the animation.
@@madelinegarber7860 I loved that scene a lot and it made so much sense of why they were there instead of just dropping them in.
@@BuzryHaproMandalorianHunter agreed. I loved the addition of. Also love your username. I love Mandos and Star Wars in general.
the second i heard the music i lost it

Yay!! Can we also get the cartoon version - Tales of Ba Sing Se?
Nevermind, I see you already did it!! Thank you ❤
For a L remake this scene and music as amazing

One of the only good things to come from the recent adaptation.
I've always thought they gave us this story too soon. It leaves us nothing for Book 2.
I mean I can see that, but I still think there’s plenty they can do with Iroh later on. They’ll just have to move some other things around and maybe expand or create another storyline.
It's not that big of a deal
Laura Reacts also had a great reaction to this scene. She's a real tearbender.
This is ok but nothing compared to the original show
