Gents, how I love this channel and the detail and heartfelt commentary that goes into your episodes. Thank you for your professionalism. As a retired USN aviation senior chief, my career was spent on aircraft carriers and as such, I have a very deep love and admiration for aviation. The design(s), the maintenance men (and women), the aviators and the many unsung heros who are a big part of what we do/did. A very respectful salute to the gentleman pilot who I'm sure, proudly served Great Britain's Air Force. I look forward to much more from you.
Every bit of this episode is delightful, thank you for sharing it.
Just found this channel. Thank you for keeping history alive. THOSE WHO DO NOT STUDY HISTORY ARE DOOMED TO REPEAT IT
Great video guys
Wow that was wonderful what great workmanship and it in air again 👍👍👍

Thank you!
Great documentary, thanks for sharing!!!👍👍👍
Great videos lt great you a flying great aircraft thank I enjoy them all keep up the great work you guys d
Lovely! Great job. Another flying tribute!. Lest we forget!.
Trying not to show my British Bias It looks absolutely beautiful in flight
It is a beautiful airplane.
As a child i got to sit in the first two seater ever built, MT818 was actually a Mk.VIII, the rest of them being Mk.IX's. Sadly l couldn't gat a ride, the owner at the time wouldn't go for for it due to safety concerns. Was a joy to see it fly though.
Great vid!
Sad the pilot passed before he saw his plane fly again, but he did see her again and new she lived!
This plane was flying 3 years before this restoration. He saw her flying in differents occasions.
That makes me feel better.@@Iclo420
Its now owned by a Dutch businessman who had his house raided a couple of times by the tax officers for not being really honest about his cashflow. Thats how you can afford a Spitfire I guess.
I guess these documentaries keep forgetting about the Hurricane! Came out way before the Spit and had way more kills than the spit in the Battle of Britain.
Perhaps your attention span is variable as this doco certainly included the Hurricane. Since it was about a specific Spitfire it's not surprising the Hurricane was not the centre of attention.
@@alexandermenzies9954 It was a generic comment! Alot more attention is given to the Spit when the Hurricane did most of the work.
Fully aware of the relative numbers, Simon, so I'm still surprised you say "most of the work". @@SimonElenor
Did ye say 5000 pounds for a ride in the craft?
Over 7 thousand pound! And I am privileged to be able to ride in this on June1, 2025. Looking forward to seeing you all that Sunday morning.
Since when did a rwo seat training aircraft fly in 5he battle of Britain traning aircraft were sold to Ireland and Israel
They said, the added seat was the only part not original to the Spit.
