Quick notes: Despite the DLC hinge looking like pushrod suspension, it is _not_ suspension.
Having the downforce bias behind the center of mass will promote understeer instead of oversteer meaning you won't have to worry about spinning, just going slow enough for the wheels to get traction.

This update is only being held back by three things In my opinion.
1. Tune able autobrake strength.
2. A handbrake option.
3. Pay-walling functional blocks. (Most notably the new hinge.)
Not nearly as bad as the last few updates.
Otherwise, this is a great update!
They said it themselves the more money they make the better updates they can put up. Gotta make money somehow
The only use for the new hinge is aesthetic choice. It is literally just a hinge with less angle (can only hold up to 30 degrees) and a bigger hitbox. It's essentially a hinge skin
@@lukkram Almost. Different dimensions allow for more options when planning, building, and testing. Thankfully this isn't a big game changer of a functional part. Unlike some previous DLC parts.
@@PyroRobo the racing hinge is 2x2x1. You can literally fit the normal hinge anywhere you'd fit the racing hinge. The only place the size difference would be beneficial is to save a singular completely point of a 1x2 block
@@lukkram I know it's a 2x2x1 piece but the important part is where it pivots from. I like making walkers and that difference from a normal hinge could be crucial. I still look forward to getting this DLC regardless though.

No, prop not bc it will be the same hitbox
As of last I remember wasn't the game programmed to where the game calculates the Aerodynamics of the Creation upon exiting Build Mode then never bothers to check it again and that's exactly WHY the Zero Drag Glitch is able to work, or somethin like that...?
@@JoshuaGanoTyraxLightning yeah that's also why if you break the nose of your vehicle it stops calculating the areo for them so it is effectively a zero drag glitch.
I will 100% be using those fenders as air intakes for planes.
the autobrake is more like an auto hill brake, it does not make a diffrence in enginge braking but when you stop you stay stationary
The new car seat will be so nice for planes. I like making custom cockpits and normally use the operator seat, but that will look way bettter
use the motercylce seat!
@whoisfluf I like to make good looking first person views, especially on larger planes, and this style of seat fits better than the operator seat for that use. Motorcycle seat piston glitched cockpits look good externally, but not as good internally as actually building the cockpit around an operator seat
I have about 315 hours on trailmakers and I love making cool looking planes the only problem is that people keep thinking I am stealing and modifying your planes

I have about four times that many hours, but I still have absolutely no idea how to piston glitch, or how to make vehicles look great. I'm all about that functionality, looks just come last for me.

I wonder if we'll get a Large Suspension equivalent of the Offroad Suspension in the future as well...? :D (Especially curious what kinda uses could be found in combining New Collision Physics, Hinge OPness, and Front to Back oriented Large Suspension together...? Could revolutionize Demolition Derby!)

Racing seat be looking like a flip flop
This is an attempt on reviving the trailmakers car community but when I checked the servers today there were 4 F1 servers so definitely doing something more than 1 car only server twice a week but still failing... Nice to see people like you still build cars. Have a good one 🙂👍
It seemed like they changed the driving physics, you might actually have to really lift to not spin, or you had to much weight at the back
The DLCs costing nearly 3 times the base game price is ridiculous, that's like my only complaint about this game.
Ik that they are a small dev team and need the money, but then again, these paid items and features would in most modern games just be a free update. This just feels greedy.
Yeah the aesthetics stuff should be free like they give us this cool stuff then make us pay to use it

They are crazy priced that's why's you just have to wait for a good discount on a bundle but I totally agree with this they should just have a cheaper way to get them through bundles or really good discounts around Christmas and summer
Yo have you heard of PC keys? They by the codes for steam games in bulk from steam and sell them for really cheap, like really cheap. I got trailmakers and all the DLCs for £5. No joke. It's not illegal or anything they just buy in bulk for cheap. I'm pretty sure they are out of stock rn but if you wait you might be able to get it.
I just personally don't find it fair that some functional blocks are locked behind a paywall, like the rocket thruster, large propeller and the large jets
I was really excited for this update and ready with ideas on how I would implement the new blocks into my builds. However, finding out the free part of the update is two pretty pointless changes and not much else sucks. It feels like the devs don’t care about the players who can’t afford the 10$ price for each dlc every couple of months. They forget we all paid for the game in the first place and deserve new content as well. Trailmakers is not a free live service game like Fortnite or Rocket league. So they should not ask their players for the money they do. Overall very dissatisfied and disappointed. I do not think Flashbulb are doing their best to support their game or their players.

We paid 25$ for the base game and the dlc are 3x the game price at 75$!! Like wtf
you'll be getting the massive physics overhaul at least. but I do understand that it's hard for some people but ultimately if we didn't pay the Devs wouldn't get paid and wouldn't be able to do any updates. It's also hard to do something like Fortnite or rocket league because they rely on paying for skins and non fundamental parts to the game. But in trailmakers apart from character cosmetics there isn't much more that is purely cosmetic they can do. The parts that are behind paywalls are just cosmetics really. There are some functional prices but they aren't necessarily for basic stuff. They really pour everything into this game and to do the next update they have to have money.
@thejamman-qz2ki , that’s a fair point, the new damage physics will be much better than the old version. I also appreciate that the devs need money to be able to bring us new updates. I am just unhappy with the combined price of all the DLCs together
@@The_jam_man1906 the expansion of the damage system is great, but I don't think making the cosmetic blocks is a very hard process. Making decals and textures seems even more easy, so I really don't see why that would cost a lot. I get that they need money, but this just feels a bit greedy

Hey Yzuei, I think there's 2 problems with your F1 car. The first is that you have too much front downforce and not enough rear downforce. The other problem is that for whatever reason, those racing hinges aren't actually suspension, even though they really should be, and I hope Flashbulb changes that.

I have officially shed tears for this DLC. i truly think this is the best Trailmakers DLC since Airborn or High Seas. I have over 1000 hours on this game, and this game has been my favorite game, and is continuing to do so. thank you Trailmakers, and thank you to every trailmaker that made this game what it is today, Thank you.

Check out a thing called pc keys they sell games and DLCs for super cheap by buying in bulk directly so they can sell them cheap. I got trailmakers and all the DLCs for £5 (this is only for PC btw) Also the reason they make DLCs cost money is because without doing that they couldn't actually make updates since the employees need to get paid. Basically. No DLCs, no updates.
P.s I don't wanna be mean but that isn't what bankrupt means.

i feel kinda outraged with how many dlc stuff is there in comparison of non-dlc
for the ones that say that you don't need dlc's, i can't even afford one dlc, and it sucks to not have any of the 'good' pieces like the large propeller, like, i'm glad of at least having the logic gates, but there is like the triple the content in the dlc and feels bad to not even being able to afford 5$ to even buy the stickers
Move the center of mass forward on your F1 racer to not spin out as much on the turns.
If you move it forward add more down force in the back to give stability on the straight parts of the races.

I think the auto break is when u step out of ur build (I was alerady a thing before but now u can turn it off)
the auto brake applies at slow speeds while you're still in the build. It has no effect on the braking that happened when you left your vehicle before.

I wonder if the rear wing also has the F1 DRS feature. The top section certainly looks like it could flatten out separately.
Also, iridescent is pronounced the same way as pearlescent. In fact pearlescence is just a subtype of iridescence, describing the effect of the entire light spectrum getting refracted and reflected rather than just a certain set of colors and the range between them.
