I didn't even want Geno, but I feel sorry for those who did
He was basically considered by most who played SMRPG to be the one party member that you normally kept in your active party for most, if not the rest, of the game once you get him so he does get a lot of love from fans of his game, personally I don't mind that he's a Mii skin but I can understand why he has a lot of people who'd have wanted him as a fully fledged fighter.
The vocal nostalgia drunk but small minority are the only retards that wanted him, Geno would be a complete and utter waste of a slot. THAT BEING SAID he should have got a premium mii like Cuphead, other than that I'm glad they'll finally shut up and maybe speculate about a REASONABLE character.

I unlocked Sephiroth through normal mode which felt pretty easy but still fun.
Sephiroth on very hard mode... I “attempted” it but I don’t think I’ll be beating it any time soon. That is some hard hit box cheese right there.

It deadass took me like 25 tries to beat and unlock his ass on very hard. Ended up getting a gimp on him off the stage. Jesus, I wish level 9's were that challenging, it was frustrating but so rewarding

The thing people don’t realise is if you time gigaflare right the opponent on ledge can not dodge it since it covers literally every get up option I’ve literally killed more than 20 people like that
Sakurai was being sarcastic after the frame data by saying "im just the party game making guy!" because he's aware of people throwing around old quotes and acting as if he can't be in touch with the competitive nature of smash at all or that he only cares about making a party game.
He's not being petty. He's being playfully sarcastic and stating softly eluding to the fact that he does care about both kinds of play. I don't know why people try to see this as some sort of a "fuck you" from Sakurai. Probably because that fits their fucked up biased interpretation of how he is.

I can't believe how good he looks and I'm glad we got confirmation for the Mii fighters. I knew they would add Cloud's party and I'm glad that they brought back the Chocobo hat and Gino so people would shut up about him. I was super worried that Sora would appear, but I'm glad that he didn't, so we still have some sort of Hope. Definitely excited to try Sephiroth out and now that we have a free trial in a way, I'll definitely sit down and try to play him. I think Sakurai shouldn’t have said anything about the challenge mode. I didn’t watch the full showcase so I didn’t know about it so while I was playing my switch I saw the dlc was downloaded. I was confused so I got on and was hyped as shit to see the challenge.
