Monumental work. Can't believe I'm seeing it. Playing Chrono Cross for the first time is one of my most-treasured memories, and what really kindled my love of RPGs growing up. Seeing this brought back a lot of those feelings, and at time when I really needed them. For all the dreamers out there, thank you.
I would absolutely love seeing a TAS now that the speedup feature is available from the start of the game rather than being NG+ only. It's bound to be absolutely bonkers.
TAS tools for RDE still aren't available. It isn't as simple despite it being an emulated version of the game so stuff like save states hasn't quite been figured out yet.
Agreed. I used to put chrono cross speedruns on to fall asleep to because the music is so good. The metal gear solid ost is also great for this same purpose
Hey, man, what a wonderful gameplay. I am Brazilian and without a doubt this is one of the games of my life. I am thinking of making a video for Brazil, talking about how this game is a work of art. Can I use some clips of this gameplay in my video?
I wonder if it's faster to recruit Macha, swap Pierre out for her. I don't know if doing this instead of waiting to watch her swim away is actually faster. She's also a way better character than him.
Sorry to add to this comment so long after you posted, but it's likely due to Pierre's higher stamina recovery. He has "12" stamina recovery, and thus recovers 1.2 for every level 1 attack someone else does, which is rather high amongst all characters, whereas Macha only has "9". If she were at 0.0 stamina, and someone did a single attack, she only recovers 0.9 (not enough to be able to take a turn again) and might result in a situation where everyone is below 1.0 forcing the enemy's turn to occur (which would take more time in the long run). So while Macha might be *stronger*, the way the TAS needed to keep the player's turn going necessitates having characters with quicker stamina recovery.
Are we just gonna not talk about the fact there's a playable alien in this run and that there never ever used to be and that this is 1,000% the Mandela Effect?
Believing in almost 2023 that "TAS is cheating" when you can easily down the emulator, and movie file, provide yourself with your own legitimate version of the game and verify that it isn't cheating. Then again do you even know the equipment used or any of the manipulation involved or better yet anything about the game's speedrunning community where this information could be readily available to you if you go to them and ask?

Joguei demais na minha adolescência!!!
Um clássico do RPG
insane amount of work. hope the creator was satisfied with the result.
Chrono Cross is probably one of my favorite rpgs of all time.

TAS Lynx%, you gotta post a million videos of that
I love these things so much. Best work ambiance ever.

just got to polly and i noticed that pierre is still in the party. . . .. . . . .
amazingly well done
no one will be able to 100% this game without a walkthrough
Nice TAS.
I can't be the only one who's disappointed there's no remaster/remake of this game yet.
A remaster is in the works, or so its rumored currently.
They're making remaster of this game...
Yeah... about that.
Сколько слышал про эту игру, и не знал, что в ней такая охрененная графика для PS1.

@@DaeaLagarto That's fair. I still wonder if at least doing the swap out, swap in, would be faster so as to not need to watch Macha swim away.
It is, it's a missed opportunity for the TAS to not do it. Regular speed runs do it because it's faster.
Хроно кросс-топчег.

Was wondering what this guy's been up to, now we know lol
Me and my brother called Direa, diarrhea. It's almost ekactly the same so I never used her, because she was diarrhea.

Starkey has always been a character.
@@lmnopenis Not only that, Starky is mandatory to beat the game. You can't not recruit him.
yup, starky was always playable and was one of my favorites as a kid but welcome from whatever universe you come from.
You did too much damage at low level. You obviously used cheat codes to boost damage.

Someone clearly doesn't know what it's like when you never miss a strength stat up and constantly crit.
Whaaaat? TAS of this massive game? Wooooow😮🎉❤
