    I would love to see the etymology/history of how north america got the word cilantro and relegated the word coriader to only the dried seeds

      "Cilantro is the Spanish word for coriander, also deriving from coriandrum. It is the common term in American English for coriander leaves, due to their extensive use in Mexican cuisine.[15]" - Wikipedia

    Immigrants create new dishes by trying to replicate their traditional dishes as best they can when they can't get crucial ingredients, they also create new dishes when they cook something from their new homeland and do it the way that they think it should be done.
