- Kensington Palace is under pressure to answer questions about whether the first picture of the Princess of Wales to be released after her surgery has been digitally altered.
The image of Kate and her children, said by the palace to have been taken by the Prince of Wales, was posted on social media.
The photograph was shared with media on Sunday but it was withdrawn by international picture agencies later the same day because of concerns that the image had been manipulated.
Kensington Palace has not yet commented on the concerns raised about the picture.

The media’s overly emotional reaction to this is damaging THEIR OWN reputations now.
They need to mind their own business. Nobody is owed an explanation of what was wrong with Kate. That is nobody's business. If she wants to make it public, that is her choice. If she doesn, that is her choice. Everyone has a right to privacy, even if you are a member of the royal family.
I agree. A couple weeks ago there was all the hysteria about "Where's Kate" and Kensington Palace came out with a brusk statement just repeating the original statement. And they all pretty much slunk away, tails between legs. Now it's this and they're indignant, demanding and pushing conspiracies... but other than the annoying trolls, the vast majority of people are reasonable and see this as bullying the Princess while she's down. This WILL backfire on the media and quick.

I believe it is largely AI generated. The thing is, Kate herself is an excellent photographer and she will know a lot about photo editing and also the rules concerning the standards expected of photos released to the press. There is something really off here because whoever edited that photo did an absolutely appalling job of it, just my opinion.
If you wanted to "manipulate" a photo, ie make it tell a story which isn't real, there is no way you would waste your time altering such insignificant details. Perhaps there were slight imperfections in the original, easily corrected in Photoshop, which in no way negate the veracity of the photo. It really is much ado about nothing.
Using Photoshop I've taken multiple images of spiders and insects which are stacked to produce one in-focus photo of a tiny creature, which would otherwise be impossible to take in one shot. It isn't cheating or manipulating the truth.

I'm 100% stand with the various agencies that pulled this photo because they knew it had been photoshopped..they didn't do it because it was of Catherine, they called in to question that an official photo put out by the Palace was not a true photo of a moment in time..but had been to whatever degree altered for whatever reason...some have said they can't see the photoshopped, but these agencies, media, press, are experts in recognising a genuine photograph when they see it, simply because if they publish anything that has been changed they could be sued...they didn't say how much they thought it had been altered, just that it was and therefore they couldn't stand over it as genuine..i applaud them for their integrity...photographs can be so altered now that anything can be made to look genuine, do people really want to be hoodwinked by groups, individuals, governments, political parties,..etc by publishing photos that have been changed..they could have Hitler superimposed over charles as he sits on the throne at the opening of Parliament with the caption Hitler returns from dead to take over britian. And the photo is there to prove it, . The photo could of been mirrored imaged and you cant see her Wedding ring. It's based on what the kids were wearing at a baby bank visit in Dec, but the colours of the clothing were altered. The photo of Kate is from the main cover of Vogue a decade ago.

My phone doesn't have AI capabilities, nor do I use Google Pixel 8, but still, I edit nearly every photo I take on my phone and this can even cause some distortion. EVERYONE edits photos today! The only difference is that when I post a photo I've edited I don't have a million trolls picking it apart to fuel lunatic conspiracies. And even worse than the trolls, the media keeps adding fuel to the fire instead of putting out the fire and calling out those who are causing all this hysteria.

Storm in a teacup! Nowadays, everyone has the ability to retouch photos -- photoshop is on most PCs. What I find interesting, is that all the comments by various media differ. So Princess Catherine felt the need to work on the bits she didn't like...most of us are vain to some degree. The media should rewrite their rules, perhaps by allowing photos to carry a small 'watermark' or insignia of those who put the pic out. Nobody fails to publish the Californian ex-royals' pics which are heavily retouched on occasions.
It was suggested by a well known UA-camr that the photo may have been taken with a cell phone on rapid where many pictures are taken basically at once. When the range of photos are up for selection, to create the photo selected, the pictures will morph into the best image of the photo selected and sometimes, there will be slight inaccuracies. I am sure that no skulduggery is at place here or intended.
But isnt it just typical of the British media - you people DEMAND proof of life from the Princess and then slam the photo that is sent and create something out of nothing - you should be ashamed of yourselves!!! Who hasnt used their cell phone to take an array of photos? You pick the one you want and the cell phone merges the range into the photo option chosen. That mother's day photo of kate and kids was sourced from princeandprincessof wales X account with a message "Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the last two months. Wishing everyone a Mother's Day. C 📷 The Prince of Wales, 2024" those are the exact words written and went viral. TodayShowAU and News 9 Australia were the first ones to report in their live news this morning the photo with photo analysis. The question is who has access to princeandprincessofwales X account - Kensington Palace or Prince William himself? Whoever posted the said photo in the said X account should have just posted a mother's day message and just plainly say from The Prince and Princes of Wales and children. This is the 2nd time false news and false photos of kate went viral.
The monarchy could not have put this out and some how missed all these errors, the Brit’s deserve better than this
