What a great option in letting the customer pick up. Saves the headache of the delivery company to NOT deliver it I'm going thru this issue (automotive parts) right now.
Hi Dan Great Video of The Mini Splits in a Blue Bag from The Kindlet 200 QQQ Being it's Going to be Christmas 🌲 Soon Maybe have a Stocking Stuffed Red and Green 👍
Great idea, Dan. If you run directly into the bags, how would you deal with the scrap as it comes off? So you didn't need to toss any bark to hit the shelter lol. Merry Christmas to all of you. Bill
I’m curious your thoughts…it seems the bags would be better for local pick up and events but I’m curious if you think the bags would survive shipping across the country or would they need to be in a sealed bag?
Use that rubberized patch advertized on TV and apply from underneath! No worry about above....or patch from below and use undercoating spray from up top! They have some now that is white!
It will get expensive really quick,if the Grinch starts borrowing bags of mini wood from the road side stand.🙄 I wonder if customers that are custom to having all debris contained in the box will not like having crumbs on the patio from bags? Every issue fixed or seems to create new issues.🤣 Have a Merry Christmas!🎅
Some of it might end up in the bag, some of the smaller stuff would fall out the bottom of the tray or even the bag. I'd have to see how loading right after splitting goes and how much waste ends up in the bag.
Dan certainly struck out clearing snow of the shelter. LOL. Looks like Dan will need to get some pool noodles to cover the edges of his shovels to keep the shelter from becoming swiss cheese. Now you have a reason to put a new tarp over the shelter and get a roll of Gorilla tape to fix the 3 tears.
Last year I used a push broom but that wasn't in the shelter so just used the padded handle end of the shovel, but guess it was too blunt or an edge...lol...and the fabric is pretty brittle. Gonna try to patch with the tape, but I gotta get up that high which might be a challenge to reach and not sure Gorilla tape will stick in the cold.
Hi Dan I Asked a friend of Mine He used to follow Wrestling and I Asked if he knew Shifty He Said He didn't But he knew a Dan Spievy Was that you or Someone else He followed Bruno Sammartino
That 10 minutes was more than worth giving up just to hear that line! Merry Christmas Dan to you and your family! Be safe!
Looks like the bags are just perfect!👍👍

I'd sell in bags locally and use the boxes for orders to be shipped. Bags will be quicker. The wood should dry in the bags some as well.
That's a good plan...and yeah bags will allow for wood to dry some and also be easier to move around and in & out of the stand.
Dan,looking like 👍 another great idea for mini firewood ✅🤩😮❤
Never hurts to learn something every day. Stay safe
That's gonna work out great!
merry christmas to you all from england
Merry Christmas to Dan and family
great vid keep it up
I use 15x25 bags for my BBQ Smoker wood...great minds think alike!
The bags look nice! We are hoping to try something similar. 👍🍁
Merry Christmas 🎄
Have you thought about cutting the flaps off the box and then put the bag over the box and dump? It may save a little bit of time.
Yep, the box I use won't fit in those bags unfortunately. I will probably end up making some sort of jig to be able to load bags and/or boxes as well.

I learned not to use my shovel handle to try and remove the snow from my canvas cover! HA HA
Sounds like a new t-shirt "Ask me about my tiny wood and saggy bag" 😂 Good video, I was surprised I didn't think the bag would be filled up 👍
Hahahahaha....👍🍻
I see lots of snow deer but no reign deer 😂

That's what will be interesting to see if a lot of scrap ends up in the bags if I fill right from splitting.

Looks like a candidate for Duck Tape patches till summer arrives!!!! Happy Holidays and a healthy/happy/prosperous 2025!!!!!! 💝💝💝
The only problem is gonna be getting up there to patch it up...lol

What kind of gloves are you wearing, and where did you get them?
Shelter cover is getting rotten. Use a push broom to knock the snow off. Have a great Christmas.
What I learned? Use a broom end to push up the ceiling of the shelter. Almost impossible to create holes.
I've got a big push broom I have used in previous years...it just wasn't in the shelter at the time.
Nice !!
Dan just a thought add a tag to the top of the bag saying what type of wood and the price
That's a good idea....thanks!
Use some liquid electrical tape to fix the tares. Back it with some duct tape or something with a bit of fiber in it.
Wouldn’t you have all the scrap in the bag if you did it during production?

Nice! How much will they sell for in the road side stand?
This customer said they'd pay $50 a bag! 😳 😆 But don't think I'll list them for that much in the stand. 🤣🤷♂️
@ Whoa
@@Back40Firewood Yeow! I would give you $10 a bag, or just make it myself! I have the mini table top model.
What are the dimensions on your mini firewood?
I try to average around 5" for length and then around 1"-2" thick.
@ ok thanks for the information
QQQ Dan do you Label your Bags like Saying Oak Cherry
I'll have to come up with some sort of label or way to know what is what....or just do them all a mix.
hi there for your top i would recommend 6mil. green house plastic , from Tec Supply ,UV does not hurt it . seam up even i can remember that ,
Thanks...I'll have to look into finding some and then seeing if I can figure out how to get it up and over the shelter...lol
Danny repair your splits you made in your canopy with gorilla tape as it is water proff.
Maybe try an adjustable table under the shoot to keep bag up when filling it
Can you fill the bags than let the wood dry in the green house instead of in the sun.
I tried that last summer and the bags still broke down and fell apart...think the UV rays still come through the greenhouse.
How much ?
$25 a bag

I’ve learned that a box full of wood does not leave you with saggy bags!!🤣🪵🪵🪵
