Edith made Poch feel as if he was not worthy of Tim's love. If you know Poch, he takes anything to do with Tim to the extreme, including his family's acceptance of him and Tim. While Elmo certainly has, Edith has never approved of Tim and Poch being together. A few eps back, Edith said some things to Poch, and it made Poch, who was already reeling from the trap set by Wesley, feel inadequate. So, he decided to break up with Tim, because of everything that was going on. He didn't feel he had the right to fight for them. Tim was in the dark and has been struggling as he truly loves Poch and Poch's breaking up with him was so sudden and drastic. I'm glad that Poch finally admitted that he only left because he felt inadequate, and I am happy that they get to talk it out...with Tim moving all his bags right back in. :)
