I love how Eugene is acting like a normal person who is left handed while Ned, Keith, and Zach, are acting as if they only have one hand.
right!! XDDD
Except for when he did the pants he only used one hand then 🤷♀️
I feel like Zach didn't understand the concept, bc he literally says "I can't do this with one hand"
Right? Like it was unheard of for a right handed person to reach for something with their left hand. Their content is fun and all, but when they do these "The Try Guys try doing X for a day" challenges they manage to do them in the most frustratingly unnatural way possible.
except when he put his pants on with one hand. And when he did his tie with one hand. lol
Welcome back to the “Eugene does everything close to flawless, Keith is doing a beautiful job, and Ned and Zach are chaotic challenge”
Hahahah
Zach really went all in trying to do everything totally one-handed 😂 I love it
Isn't that almost every video besides the baking/cooking videos?
@@Lovingmybeautifulife yes
Idk why everyone is annoyed, as a left handed person I know that we all have cut off our right hands to fully embrace our leftyness.
Yesssss 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Right?? Us lefties have two hands, too!
Yesss lefty here!
I’ve become ambidextrous but I still write (legibly) with my left.
@@emilyzaragoza2151 Lmaoo it’s the opposite for me😭😭
I think they're using one hand because if they use both they will automatically default to use their right. So to avoid that, they just use one hand lol
That makes so much sense!
And if they were to use the other to assist people would’ve said they were still using their right hand
yeah. it's like they are doing more of a "not using their dominant hand" challenge than a "using their left hand as if it were their dominant hand" challenge
@@thc1597 yup what they many would have to do is just what they do with their dominant hand but with their non dominant hand, aka if they cut with right hand they use their left hand to cut
They could’ve still used both hands when holding or putting on clothes or even when they cut the fruit especially Zach when he went to cut them and peel the orange you can still use the other hand to hold stuff. I’m a righty and still use my left to hold stuff in place or even now I’m typing with both bc the other hand isn’t completely useless
7 minutes in : Eugene is the only one remembering that most left handed ppl actually use both of their hands
True😂
True. Ppl even can't hold scissor with left hand. And left-handed can nail the both
Exactly!!!!!
Yep
key word: most
They said “let’s become lefties,” then proceeded to throw away the right hand 😂
If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing
I think it was so they don't accidentally use their right hand
Eugene used both hands like most left handed people for most of the video which is why he seemed to suffer the least.
Ned also used his right hand, just not as his dominant

My man Zach never gets the assignment. Like he fully doesn't even know what subject he's working on. In every single video it is my singular joy watching zach run around like that chicken from Moana to accomplish the tasks.
I have never read anything more accurate 💀
He does have Hei Hei energy....
Lmao!!! Straight up gold!! 😅
I’m cracking up. He doesn’t ever get it but he keeps on truckin. Truly a try guy
exactly. He's acting like the challenge is "The try guys lose their right arm for a day"
This turned more into a “ONE hand challenge” instead of a left hand challenge.
For Zach mostly
Yeah I saw that. Which I think kinda ruins the challenge. Like ned wearing an oven mitt, and I think trying to change the diaper with only one hand?
Two different challenges. Left handed people still have two hands.
Mte. Was confused since Eugene was using two hands just not using the right one as the dominant one
@@MrBandorr exactly my thought too
YES! I inclusively thought (as a lefty): We're lefties! It's not like we don't have our right hand
Okay but it’s supposed to be “left handed for a day” not “only using your non-dominant hand for a day”. You can USE TWO HANDS TO TIE A TIE.
Exactly what I was thinking...
True, but I guess it's difficult to not just switch to mostly usibg your right hand unconsciously when doing something with bith hands because you're so used to it... :D
Or open a jar. Especially when it’s hard to open.

How did Eugene's letter to Zach turn into a southern belle writing her confederate soldier beloved?

Agreed. I didnt think the challenge was just using one hand.
Why did everyone act like they had their right arm cut off but Eugene. They know they can use their right hand to stabilize things?
Being left handed clearly means we can not use our right hand ever. With nothing. It just flops around for fun

The reason this ended up being more of a “single hand only” challenge is because most right handed ppl think they never use their left hand, that dominant hand means its the one you use the most. But this isnt entirely true, you use both your hands as you see fit. One hand has control - your dominant hand, while the other works as support, you will struggle more if you lack any of them. Its not just that youre not used to have the left hand be the one in control - your right hand is probably not used to do the work of the left either.
I think it's more that they didn't want to revert to using their right hand by mistake so they over compensated by just not using their right hands at all. Which does change the challenge a lot, but I'm not sure for some of the challenges how they could have forced themselves to use both but still use their left as dominant. Eugene seemed to be the best at actually being left handed instead of one handed, which isn't really surprising that he was the best at something.
So right!! As a lefty, if my right hand is compromised in any way, it is hard to do regular tasks, since I usually use both hands to assist me . I find right handed people underestimate the everyday usefulness of their left hand. They don’t notice until forced to use the left hand as dominate. :)
Exactly. I find myself using both my hands simultaneously with a lot of things and sometimes the left hand is the one doing most of the work.
@@blindpeopledostuff3587 Right! Like my left hand and arm can carry all the groceries, but my right one can only lift a bag or two. I am right handed, but my left does a lot of the heavy (non-dexterous) lifting.
Hand facts lol
As a lefty, we don’t necessarily use our left hand to do ALL our things. Just like opening the refrigerator, we can’t use our left hand unless you wanna be smacked by the refrigerator door
How have I lived all 25 years of my life not once realizing I open fridge doors with my right hand. And the fact that it cannot be done with my left lol
am I weird? I use my left hand to open the fridge.
I'm lefty and use my left hand to open the fridge. I usually move to the side of the fridge so it doesn't hit me, but I do it daily. I didn't realize it would smack lefty's in the face until I saw a tik tok talking about lefty struggles.
I’m left handed and I still hold a knife in my right hand to cut up food!
And I also open the fridge with my left hand but the door swings open to the left
Ok, why is no one talking about our beautiful brass instrumentalist Keith. As a fellow horn and trumpet player (and hopefully more in the future) your control and intonation is incredible and you're slurs are so clean. Wow. How is no one talking about this.
He did great on french, there were some intonation wabbles in the pedal range and the baritone was pretty good, but I didn't honestly hear slurs more more "trombone slurs" and I can say that as a trombonist. He still did very well overall
All I could say is that I admire the skills, not sure how much he plays nowadays so that was great!!
i wish more people talked about keith's musicality. like, can we get a "keith teaches the try guys to play french horn" video? band kids and former bans kids (such as myself) would absolutely eat that shit up
Didn't he go to undergrad for music/french horn?
I really felt Keith with the whole horn and euphonium thing. And his sound is so nice! And I'm honestly not too surprised he was able to play euphonium with his left hand because I sometimes play other brass upside down or backwards and can do it relatively easily (I'm also a Horn player)
I love how Neds kid just looks at him in such a judgy and concerned way when he's trying to cut the fruit 😂👌🏻🔥
Ikr! So 😍😊
His kids are definitely going to be judgy and concerned now
As a lefty, it’s not like we don’t have right hands to assist 😂 this is definitely more of a one hand video

he grew to became more positive thru time!!! :D
He has definitely been working on it. :)
Some people never practiced using their non-dominant hand because they wanted to teach themselves to be ambidextrous as a child, and it shows.
Even being a left-dominant mostly ambidextrous, there are some things my right hand does way better, and some things my left hand does way better. Right-handed chopsticks makes me feel like I'm 3 and still learning how hands work.
I forced myself to be ambidextrous and now there's thing i can only do with either my left or right hand lol
I'm right-handed, but try writing with my left sometimes. It sucks, I gotta say!
As a leftie I appreciate this. However I think it’s funny how they act like being left handed is like ONLY having a left hand 😂😂
I am right handed and I am overly reliant on my right hand. I notice that we righties don’t use the left as often as lefties use the right.

Its just crazy how he is so good at EVERYTHING
Umm it’s Eugene. He’s good at everything.
Who knows.ask him.
More people are ambidextrous than left handed... Lots of them in my family.
This makes me so happy. Like, us left handed people make jokes/fuss about the ink/pencil on the hand thing but it’s so fun to watch other people suffer through it and understand
YB killed it with that end credit of Ned saying "Ooh I dropped my phone, with MY MITTEN OF DOMINANCE!"
YB always kills it, but that was spectacular.
Y’all no 🤣🤣🤣 as a left handed person, this isn’t being left handed for a day. This was a one handed non-dominant hand challenge. Lefties still use their right hands! Life is just harder as a left handed person because tools and average products are designed with the right handed person in mind. If you want to REALLY experience what being left handed is like, I’d suggest a video where you try all left handed tools with your right hand. Because left handed people have to use right handed tools constantly and that’s the real struggle.
But also LEFTIES STILL USE BOTH HANDS??? 🤣🤣🤣
I think that would be funny. But also it's so they don't instinctively use their right hand as well. Everyone but mostly Eugene had that little trust in themselves.
they started the video with mostly using their left hand but somehow transitioned to only using their left hand ???? 😂😂😂 i dont know how they reached that conclusion...
That’s true! Lefty here
I’m a righty but I still thought the same thing. Like, I use my left hand to help with stuff all the time. No way I could do these things with JUST my right either. Oy....
The problem here: I tried this and to use ONLY your non-dominant hand is less thinking than switching for every task the parts the dominant and non-dominant hand do. It would be easier to switch the hands in a task when you figured out how to switch. But less thinking (and harder action) is completely ignoring the existence of one hand. Not title and initial concept of the video but mentally easier to progress with. But I get why as a lefty this is annoying.
Why are they acting like left handed people do everything one handed like wtf
that's what made this video funny to me lmao, everyone except for Eugene took it so seriously and intensely that they forgot lefties still have another hand to use
69th like 😎
We still got another hand
It probably because their dominant hand is their right and they really never recognized that they don't use it lol
It’s true. Left handed ( including myself) people only have one hand. The other one might as well be cut off. Lol.
“oh- wrong hole, thats what she said. you know what? or thats what he said. anyone can have a wrong hole” zach said awkwardly.
*cuts to eugene*
Eugene, knows what he's doing without mistaking the point of the challenge.
Ned, Keith, and Zach are mistaking the left hand challenge as a one-hand only challenge, so being comedically adorable.
When you’re left handed you’re kind of ambidextrous because the world is made for right handed people.
Can relateee!
THIS! Thank you lol people around me find it so bizarre I can do so many things right handed whilst being dominantly left handed
Exactly! I call myself "functionally ambidextrous" because though dominantly left handed I can do almost anything with my right hand if I need to because I've had to learn throughout my life. I've even caught myself writing on the board right-handed (I'm a teacher) without realizing because I was holding something in my left hand and just picked up a marker and started writing. :D
Yeah, the world kinda forces you to from the get go. I'm still mostly left hand dominant though.
So I’m also left handed and I’m constantly blowing people’s mind when they see me write things.... because I write completely upside down or sideways.
Eugene’s left handed eyeliner looks better than mine ever has 😂

But of course; after all, it’s Eugene you’re talking about.

- writing in a lead pencil
- highlighting

They did do lighters, ill give it to them. Highlighting sucks you can't see a thing lol. Don't wanna talk about can openers XD. They should have also included some fun scenarios where they are with another righty and another lefty. The lefty would show them how much we adapt to just switch hands-on command while the righty would just live out life doing most everything with their right hand. Along with showing the difference in strength between hands like squeezing a lemon or something. Show how strong both of the lefty's hands are compared to the average righty XD now that woulda been interesting.

Wait you got to keep your right hand 🤚 mine was chopped off when they discovered I was left-handed 😂
they were using it to show the viewers which was their right hand and which was their left
This video makes me so happy!! Being left handed is tough even though we are ‘’used’’ to it. We cannot use markers unless we want a colored hand and wrist. Writing in spiral and composition notebooks is nearly impossible. And dry erase markers? HA! When we get to the end of the sentence we are writing, we have erased what we already wrote lol! Gel pens? Nope! They will smear. I love what you guys do with ALL of your videos. You put a lot of thought into them and show different perspectives to help understand what others struggle with...UA-cam would not be UA-cam without you!
Left handed teacher here! Lefties CAN write on a whiteboard, but it took me a LONG time to figure out how to do it neatly. I sometimes still make a huge mess lol!
keith making the rainbow on his coloring page all the try guy colors except ned’s is AMAZING foreshadowing
I'm a lefty, but these guys are almost treating it like they don't even have a right hand to do anything. I don't get dressed with just one hand, or cut fruit with one hand. It's weird
I thought the same thing, but I chalk it up to creative license. I don’t think the video would really be interesting if they didn’t have the conceit of “not using our right hands”. It’d just be kinda mundane, right?
Glad I’m not the only one who thought this though!
I came down here to see if anyone else had said this. I feel like Eugene making the fruit salad was how the challenge SHOULD have been... using your non-dominant hand as your primary hand for tasks, not ONLY using your non-dominant hand. If you're trying to discover the challenges left-handed people face, adding the extra challenge of doing two-handed tasks with ONLY your left hand just muddies the waters and makes it out to be a silly challenge, rather than a serious view of what it's like living in a world where most things are designed for right-hand-dominant people, IMHO.
Yeah that felt awkward.
i agree
Yes this really bothered me the whole time
When I was in the first grade my "teacher" would not let me use my left hand she taped my fingers or made me sit on my left hand.
She said she not going to have evil in her classroom. Fast forwarded thirty three years my daughter in her kindergarten class and the teacher told my husband and I at a parent teacher meeting that she was writing with her left hand and she needs to learn the right way to write.
That's when we dug in our heels and said no we will not teach her to be a right-handed person she was born left handed and that's the way she's staying. I'm relearning to use my left hand. So now I'm kind of ambidextrous.
Oh my word! I am so sorry that you ever had to experience such ugliness from a teacher. That is so awful.
I applaud you for standing up to stupidity, teachers make a huge deal out of a child being different and that just doesnt sit well 😒
WHAT?????!!!!!!!! That is some archaic quackery. I didn’t know they still practiced this stupidity.
damn that happened to my dad. im nearly seventeen and once a leftie always a leftie
I can't believe a teacher in today's age would even suggest such bullshit.. this is no one way to write.
I love Carol writing by candlelight. Eugene needs to keep having Carol make appearances as often as possible!
Watching this made me feel better about how hard it was for me to learn to tie my shoes, because I was being taught by right handed people. My ambidextrous grandpa showed me how once and I got it like that, but until then I had struggled for months trying to tie them the exact way right handed people showed me and I just couldn't. Also I was embarrassingly old when I realized "using scissors isn't supposed to hurt" 😂.
This isn’t the “one arm” challenge. It was weird they were doing basically all tasks one handed.
Fun fact, when you're a leftie or become one, you basically forget you have a right hand too. It just stops working, it's programmed in the brain. Really awful

@@duncansonoryan in the UK we’re taught from an early age so we consider “cursive” just handwriting aha nobody calls is cursive here, weird!
@@lilnastyy1604 it used to be, a lot of schools are phasing it out saying it’s “not necessary and too frustrating for kids”
Eugene handwriting was even better than mine who’s originally a left handed. Seriously, what can a Eugene Lee Yang CAN NOT do 👁👄👁
But like what left handed person has good writing? Not i

According to his boyfriend, he's bad at cleaning and taking care of houseplants.
@@SauerCherries I have pretty good hand writings and I am a lefty :)
His love letter to Zach was a literary masterpiece 👌🏻
Keith's just growling while trying not to put his hand down had me dead 🤣🤣
The classical piece when theyre getting ready for the letters is one of my faves💙
A little extra joy on top of chuckling and cheering at this video
Everyone: *calmly, if not entirely successfully, cuts their pineapple*
Zach: *whacks it like he's a Skyrim protagonist forced to kill a dragon with nothing but a dagger*
I played Skyrim for the first time like a week ago and I actually get this reference 😂
A dagger? I did that a number of times. It was more like he was trying to kill a dragon with nothing but a rusty wooden spoon. How is it rusty being wood, you ask? We may never know...
I like your fancy words big man
This comment made me laugh harder than actually watching him try to cut the pineapple lmao 🤣
@@krystalmassey1635 same LOL
You know left handed people still use their right hands to stabilize the things they touch? It's not necessary to completely stop using your right hand? 🤔😅
THIS! it made me so frustrated to see them using just one hand instead of using their left hand for things they'd do with their right; you switch habds to button your shirt, but you use BOTH hands to get dressed! I get the idea that the glove reminds them to use their left hand mainly, but when they tried putting on their clothes or chop the fruits with just one hand I was like... but why? that's not the challenge??? it was hard for me to watch this one.
of course they know, i think they interpreted the challenge differently
@@amanda_2406 I think they may have thought it was a one handed non dominant hand challenge. They just mixed up the title of the video with the content that’s in the video.
My brother uses his left hand for writing but for all other things like chores, cooking, and eating, he uses his right hand.
Damn what a talented man. My left hand is useless lol😭😂
I am ambidextrous. I had surgery on my right hand and people were worried about me. I was jus fine.
It’s so fun seeing people try being left handed from someone who is left handed.
As a lefty this video felt like “what right-handed people think being a lefty is like” because most right-handed people can’t fathom using their non-dominant hand for anything, where as for most lefties it’s no big deal because we have no choice but to do it often.
I’m left-handed but I use my right hand for things because it’s more comfortable
This is why we lefties are way more adaptive
@@fireangel2923 uh huh
@@jamiehollins4421, It's so weird yet so useful. I love it lol
I'm cross dominant and I blows people's my that I can stuff with my left hand even though I'm right hand. To me, I never thought about until people pointed it out.
Zach is the only one that didn’t realize that he could still use his right hand
For the beginning of the video I don't think any of them did lol
Also Zach is basically playing fruit ninja 🤣
13:35 keith growls
I love how Zach and Keith did the same page
eugene chopping pineapple: "a little awkward"
*cut to the other try guys, making an absolute mess *
eugene, ned, keith: perfectly ties a tie with their left hands
zach: struggles to put a t-shirt on
I love their friendship...you could feel their love for each other as they read the letters...Eugene nailed this challenge

My mom used to sign the Christmas tags “From Santa’s with her left hand so we wouldn’t recognize her handwriting. This video proves that is effective. Thanks
That's quite clever-- might have to try that myself, one day, when I have some kids.
My mum never bothered doing that but I made sure to do it for my little brother and sister but I'm a lefty so I did it with my right hand ahaha
I did recognize my Mom's writing and just thought: 'Huh, Santa's handwriting is really similar to Mom's.' And just genuinely told her how funny of a coincidence I thought it was 😂
My mom used a weird giant scribble font for the Easter Bunny. Santa was script. I appreciate all the effort she put in.
I get that the mitten was probably meant to just serve as a “don’t use this hand” reminder, but because it’s so awkward Ned and Zach maybe took it a little too seriously lol. Probably should’ve used a glove or something so they could at least hold things more easily and still be a reminder
Eugene just chillen the entire time knowing he can use both hands and do it normally
is eugene sure hes not ambidextrous hes WAY too good at this. his lefty handwriting is better than so many people's NORMAL handwriting
seeing Eugene in a dress shirt and jeans reminded me that he's a Texan at heart
lol its not just texans who do that, in other parts of the world they just call it "business casual"
