They actually were. They were writing and planning a Cassie/Josh pairing when Laura was on the show. That's one reason that she left the show. Not the main reason though.
Cassie was best with Hart. Agreed the Josh and Cassie pairing was horrible and that’s on the writers imo ... I don’t think the character of Cassie would’ve ever wanted Josh. And vise Versa. Reva and Cassie’s bond was too good and the writers destroyed it. 🤦🏻♂️ Also, They should’ve written the character off after Laura Wright left.
