So lovely to have an English crafter on YT. Great video. I will be doing this. I’ve got one of those smelly bottles with sticks. I hate throwing away. Well now I don’t need to.
My mother passed on fathers day suddenly. I got a shelf for her and made some artwork. Then I remembered your video and made some of these. Her display looks so beautiful. Thank you.
I am so sorry for your loss. It must have been a huge shock. Your shelf of artwork sounds like a beautiful idea. I am glad the roses added something and helped. 🥰
I have not tried but you could experiment by making them without curling the petals back, at least until the outer layer. You could also try making more layers that have fewer petals eg, make an extra layer of 3 or 5. If you try please let us know how you get on so more people can try. 😀
I haven't tried but I am guessing a spray sealant would be best. If you applied Modge podge before assembly it may make the petals a bit stiff. Afterwards would be difficult. I do keep mine for years and just give them an occasional shake and dust and they still look great. 🙂
Yes, but make sure you can attach your rose. Perhaps build the rose on the end of the pencil so that you can secure it easily? I am sure it would work but you need to decide on your attachment method before you start your rose. Good luck 🙂
This is such an easy tutorial! Just what I was looking for but I did some things differently which I think made it easier for me Instead of cutting one petal I just made a slit between both and glued one peral on top of another and instead of cutting two petal I cut one and put one on the other and so on. And also I made smaller "holes" on the middle of the smaller petals so its easier to glue on.
Ima making them for my bf because nobody's ever got him flowers before so I really hope he likes them (it's gonna be a random surprise and he has no clue know about it) I'll put an update after
I will be using this for my girlfriend thank you!

Fabulous. Growing up with siblings can be hard but so worth it! Fabulous if you can craft together and keep that relationship going! 😀

thank you, im gonna do this for my bf now :D
Enjoy yourself and I hope they like it! 😃
Is there a way to make it look more closed up. so it doesn't look too full bloom? do i add more layers?
I have not tried but you could experiment by making them without curling the petals back, at least until the outer layer.
You could also try making more layers that have fewer petals eg, make an extra layer of 3 or 5.
If you try please let us know how you get on so more people can try. 😀
Question, could you seal them? Maybe modge podge or a spray sealant?
I haven't tried but I am guessing a spray sealant would be best. If you applied Modge podge before assembly it may make the petals a bit stiff. Afterwards would be difficult.
I do keep mine for years and just give them an occasional shake and dust and they still look great. 🙂

Lovely 💕
New subscriber great tutorial😊
Thank you. I am glad you like them! Welcome to the channel! 😀
Does a pencil work as a stem?
Yes, but make sure you can attach your rose. Perhaps build the rose on the end of the pencil so that you can secure it easily?
I am sure it would work but you need to decide on your attachment method before you start your rose.
Good luck 🙂

@@AnuvaArunim thank you for sharing your tips. It helps us all 😀
Could you please tell me what are the dimensions of the square we will make
I used a square 4" by 4" and got flowers that are about 3" across. You can make them any size you like.
@@ChristinesCrafts Thank you very much loves from Turkey
❤❤
I used thin double sided tape to hold mine in shape
Great idea. Less messy than glue! 😀
Ima making them for my bf because nobody's ever got him flowers before so I really hope he likes them (it's gonna be a random surprise and he has no clue know about it) I'll put an update after
That sounds like a great idea and I am sure he will love them and the fact you took the time to make them!
