I was going to watch the marathon last year. But I was used to Miley's more recent controversy so much I didn't have the courage to feel the nostalgia I'm beginning to feel right now. If I did, I would have done what I should have done seven years ago and that was properly say goodbye to Hannah. I was in my junior year of high school back then and my fandom with Miley fell apart. Life itself and the changing times as we entered the 2010's had other plans for me. And now Miley has won me back thanks to Malibu and Younger Now. So in a way, it feels bittersweet for me. Someday, I will get another chance to say goodbye to the chapter that first made me fall in love with this girl.
Every time I listen to this song, even if it's just for a second, I'm back to those days. Where you didn't have to care about boys, high school, and going into adult life. All you cared about was a new episode of Hannah Montana or buying her doll. I miss those days. Sometimes I wish they'd come back. That was the life---I should have held on tighter.

i totally agree, your judgement should not be swayed by other people's opinions, just because its labelled "hannah montana as a kids show and its not cool to watch it" shouldn't stop people who genuinely love her voice and her songs and the show.

Hannah Montana was a TV show. And she was just playing the part. Sure, there are aspects of her life that are similar to Miley Stewart, but in all reality, this is how she is. She's not rebellious. She does things her own way, confidently and without a second thought at what people might think. That's how life should be lived. And now? She's happily engaged and adored by many. Hannah Montana will forever be a great role mode, but she's just a character. Miley's human. Deal with it.
