What a pleasure to watch this movie and what an amazing surprise cause you don't always get this quality in a third installment from a franchise. The rent was due when they made this film lololol. I hope i did it justice with my reaction, btw, i have to type the words: reaction, first time watching and Back to the Future 3 so youknowwho makes this video circulate. See yall in the future!! :)

    This was my favorite of the Back to the Future films because this is a Western.
    As for the McFly's accents, it's Irish. According to the film, the McFlys came from Ireland and Doc mentioned that his family name was originally von Braun before it was changed to Brown due to anti-German sentiments spawned on by WWI. German Americans did the most in assimilate into American culture.
    The pellets in the food were the remains of the shotgun shell that Seamus used to hunt the rabbits. Sometimes, you need to be careful when eating freshly caught game. Bullets can break teeth.

      I wonder if Doc is somehow related to the guy who developed the V2 missile. The Moon landings happened in the BTTF universe so I'd imagine that the V2 missile existed as well since a lot of the scientists that developed the Saturn series of rockets used in the Moon missions formally developed weapons for the Nazis.
      Anything to beat the red menace, right?

    The way I see it, Doc had already disrupted the space-time continuum even before Marty went back in time to rescue him.
    Doc's gravestone in 1955 had Clara's name on it. How would that have been possible unless he had already rescued her in 1885? And that shouldn't have happened, because the ravine was named after her because of her death.

    • @LaborHours
      @LaborHours 10 днів тому +1

      I appreciate this analysis, very astute. As described by the butterfly effect theory, even the smallest changes that Doc made to the past simply by being a member of society would certainly have had meaningful consequences to the present day, however undetectable to the casual observer.

    • @LaborHours
      @LaborHours 10 днів тому

      @@plowe6751 So then that means there are two different timelines in which Clara dies: the one where Doc is not present and then another in which he is. This leads to the next logical question: is it the same snake that spooks the horses in both timelines? Seems like a big coincidence given that in one timeline Clara waits at the station for an escort that never arrives and in the other there is no escort to wait for, meaning there are two distinct departure times in which the same snake is in the right place at the right time to intersect the linear path of the buckboard. Perhaps the area is completely littered with snakes so that an encounter in unavoidable? Or maybe there never was a snake and it's Clara herself that is the snake, terrifying the horses with her abusive language and tobacco spitting, and having sensed her aura of saturated evil and luciferian lust for power.

    • @ronfehr7899
      @ronfehr7899 10 днів тому

      @plowe6751 Something else occurred to me.
      Had Marty somehow been able to travel back to 1985 right after reading Doc's lett from 1885, the name of the ravine would have reverted back to Shonash Ravine (probably). Doc would have been able to pick up Clara, saving her from falling into it. And Marty wouldn't have been in the past to cause the train to be demolished, hence no Eastwood Ravine.

    • @LaborHours
      @LaborHours 10 днів тому +1

      @@ronfehr7899 The Doc changed history when he saved Clara by picking her up at the station and then being shot and killed by Bufford Tannon. Marty had a specific memory of learning about "Clara Ravine" that would no longer exist to the new Marty from the new timeline. So, the question is whether the Marty that got the Doc's 1885 letter should have actually had any memory of "Clara Ravine". Or, would this particular Marty retain his original memories while the rest of the universe transforms around him? This is in fact what happened in the movie but I think it's a plot hole since 1885 precedes Marty's life so that once Clara was saved he then should have no knowledge of her death in the ravine.

    Last names starting with "Mc" are Irish. Not to be confused with names starting with "Mac," which are Scottish. The McFlys are from Ireland. Not a real name, btw; it was just a joke, because the premise of the first film is that George has a weak personality and Marty is physically small.

    If you think of it, it must have taken years for Doc to create the new time machine, so in the meanwhile he and Clara got married and started a family. It might have been just a few hours since Marty arrived from 1885, but years have passed for Doc. And the ending of this movie matching the jaw dropping ending of the 1st movie with the flying time machine was pure gold. The more times I watch this ending, the more I cry of happiness.

    Hi Amanda, I can't believe you're up to Part 3 already!😆 This one was shot back to back with Part 2. I see you have CGI fatigue with films like many people nowadays. The 1885's McFly's have an Irish accent. The Marshall is the same actor that played the Principal in the future. Yellow is the color of a chicken, and means the same thing as chicken. In the alternate 1985 (Part 2) Biff had a Clint Eastwood film on TV where Eastwood used the same thing as Marty for a bullet proof vest. That was probably in your subconscious. Great job reacting to this final film in the Back to the Future trilogy, Amanda!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏

    Thank you for these.
    The surname prefix Mc- or Mac-, meaning "son of," was used in Scotland and Ireland. So that's the accent they were going for.
    The rabbits they were eating had pellets from Seamus' shotgun in the meat.
    When 1955 Doc dresses Marty in a G-rated cowboy outfit that's based more on Buffalo Bob (the head guy on The Howdy Doody Show) than on history, and Marty complains "Clint Eastwood never wore anything like this." "Who?" "That's right, you haven't heard of him yet."... there are posters on the wall next to Marty of two early Clint Eastwood movies where he had just a background or bit role. Just another Easter Egg among many.
    The Old West was violent. But shootings, hangings, robberies weren't an everyday occurrence. The movie is making fun of the popular image that already exists in people's minds, and having fun with it. The bartender and the three barflies sitting at that table at all hours of the day or night are famous cowboy actors, there for nostalgia purposes.
    They used both a full size locomotive and a quarter scale model (along with a scale model of the DeLorean) to film the sequence leading up to the ravine. The locomotive that actually crashes is the scale model.

It has been suggested that yellow-bellied, meaning a coward, may have been inspired by chicken egg yolks being yellow and chicken meaning coward.

    In my opinion, Back To The Future is the most consistent movie trilogy, at least in terms of quality, which is ironic because it breaks the key rule of a trilogy of essentially doing the same story 3 times, yet it works given the motif of history repeating itself. Look at all of the elements that appeared in all 3 films: Marty saying "This is heavy" & Doc Brown saying "Great Scott," Marty hitting his head & waking up with a version of his mother taking care of him, Marty walking into a diner & encountering a Tannen as well as a Strickland, a chase scene in the town square & Marty almost crashing into a vehicle, a Tannen crashing into manure, a scene where a character wears a bullet proof vest, pictures/documents changing, Marty being called "chicken," & of course the entire clock tower scene all appear in each film.

    Usually movies even when they're trilogies tell different stories in each one but this one is one consistent story that could be one movie but it's too much that it had to be split into three however it is good and they didn't mean to open it for a sequel the end of the first movie was just a joke they learn from their mistake and that's why instead of a DeLorean they have a Time train the movies not a movie without the DeLorean so if they were to make a fourth one it would have the time train which is not good and they can't because the writers would sue the universal studios due to the agreement they had on not making any more films while they were alive however there have been many fans complaining about seeing new Back to the Future content and since they can't get a fourth film because the trilogy is so perfect the film writers found another way to bring back to the future back to life without ruining them movie and no they're not doing a remake and no they're not doing any reboot they decided to turn it into a musical to replay the first film but with added songs and at first you would think that would go bad but many people have seen the musical and it is disappointing when you walk in but you'll regret it when you walk out realizing that it was not just reaching your expectations of the films but it reached higher than the expectations according to the Broadway reviews. So for those who want to see more Back to the Future this is kind of your part for which there is no Back to the Future part 4 but you can watch Back to the Future the musical which is pretty much watching Back to the Future as if you were seeing it for the first time it is pretty good and it doesn't ruin the trilogy. Everything that happens in each of the movies connects to the others things that happen in part one have a cameo and are very important to the storyline in part 2 and 3 anything in part 2 is important to the storyline of parts 3 and 1 and anything that happens in part 3 is just a payoff for the things that happened in part one and two. I hope you enjoyed it and now all you have to do is go see the musical if you ever want to revisit Back to the Future like you never seen it before.

    @Amanda - The full size steam engine in 1885 is real, she's Sierra 3, out of Jamestown in the Sierra mountains, south east of Sacramento. The bridge with the engine running off into the ravine was a live-steam model, which ran on scaled down track... but still VERY impressive.
    - Also remember that the comment that Buford made about Clara and the $80 is very bad because a day's wage for track workers for the railroads was only $1 back in 1870-1875. So $80 was probably 2 months pay for the average person!

    Take a chance, get out of your comfort zone...there are plenty of old classic movies that will knock your socks off. A great classic western is 1952's High Noon starring Gary Cooper, who one an Oscar for best actor. 2 leading ladies n it are great actresses...Grace Kelly, and Mexican actress Katy Jurado who in my opinion is one of the greatest actresses on film who ever lived.

    Nice reaction! They didn't force the writers to include a time machine at the end to leave the door open for a 4th movie. In fact, the filmmakers were wearing t-shirts at the premiere with the number 4 crossed out, and they were very clear with the "The End" at the end. The time machine being there so it could fly towards the camera was a tribute to the ending of the first movie.

    While there wasn't a 4th Back To The Future film, there was a short lived cartoon series that takes place after the 3rd film. The premise was Doc Brown & his family settle in the present, Marty is now in college, & they still have adventures time travelling. Each episode started & ended with a live action segment of Doc Brown talking into a camera held by Clara, & the series gave Bill Nye his acting debut then he got his own show after the cartoon was cancelled.

    Since Buford was defeated, he no longer threatened any of them. They didn't have to be in such a hurry to carry out the train plan. After all, they had a time machine. Their plan was achieved, the tombstone disappeared from the photo. They could have stayed in the Wild West for a few more months.

      The issue with this would be that the longer they stay, the more changes could be caused. A couple of days is no big deal. But even eating food, could alter the timeline. Living incognito isn't enough, everything they do has ripple effects, increasing the chances the future they return to will be more and more different.

    As a Mexican I can confirm is hard to trace back to our family ancestors, after a lot of hardwork I traced my family to German/Denmark ancestry from my father's side and from my mother Spaniard and Mexican side. But I don't know any of my family members in Europe with the exception of 2.
    From the Mexican side I know there's some Mix of Olmec and Mayan ancestry in general terms but not that much since the Spanish destroyed most of it.

    • @AdamNisbett
      @AdamNisbett 4 місяці тому +1

      Yeah German ancestry tends to be easier to trace way back if you can trace it back to specific German towns as Germans have tended to have a culture of meticulous record keeping. Many of my German branches are the ones I’ve been able to trace the furthest back as well in my tree.

    • @jessecortez9449
      @jessecortez9449 4 місяці тому +1

      I'm in the same boat. Trying to trace my ancestors as well. I'm mostly Mexican going back to Ute-Aztec, mostly Comanche. Have some German from one of my Grandfathers and even that's a bit difficult to trace.
      I've noticed a lot of people that try and trace their family lines can hit a wall somewhere in the 1800's since there was for some reason or another a whole lot of orphans and kids getting adopted into families.

      @@AdamNisbett I found from my family name some moved from WW2 and a couple before WW1 but those remained in the U.S.
      I know my family name is not 100% German but more like originated somewhere in between Germany and Denmark so my ancestry might be German-Danish sort of.

    • @AdamNisbett
      @AdamNisbett 4 місяці тому

      @@jessecortez9449 early 1800s and before in the Americas you also just have the problem of spotty record keeping as a lot of places were not particularly established and people were focusing more on surviving and not as much on thoroughly documenting things. And you also add in the fact that with any immigration you often had people starting fresh with much less contact and interaction with previous generations and possibly even adjusting their name to fit in better with the new local culture. So that sometimes causes a challenge in connecting immigrants with their source location and family.

    1 of the creators of the trilogy said in an interview several years ago that because Marty wasn't in the car crash at the end of the 3rd film, it caused a chain reaction/butterfly effect of events that resulted in a new 2015 different from the 1 Doc Brown took him & Jennifer to in the 2nd film. Additionally, he stated the reason why Doc Brown didn't just tell Marty about what his future would be like/the events that lead to his kids getting arrested was that he wanted Marty to learn to not be so easily intimidated by others & learn to stand up for himself, which is what he did to Needles by refusing to race him & thus not getting in that car accident. So, the way I see it is that over the course of these 3 films (which from Marty's point of view was less then 3 weeks) not only did he help his parent's improve their lives in the past, but he matured as a person in the present to become successful in the future.

    • @mgordon1100
      @mgordon1100 5 місяців тому

      I'm not sure they needed to say that, it was kind of obvious. In the second film, the police referred to the McFly's neighborhood as being kind of a slum area when they picked up Jennifer. His home, job, kids, all as a result of the car accident. Most likely, like his father, he lived out his dream as a musician.

      I did notice that, and I kind of regret not mentioning it in the outro. Marty had a journey on his own and he learned a valuable lesson, you don't always have to show everybody that you're "brave" or "capable". At the end of the day, it's better to be smart and a little bit cautious too, haha.

      That's a good point. He mentions in the letter that the hover conversion kit was damaged by the lightning. We also notice kind of a curl of fire tire tracks when it happens. Perhaps we can imagine the power surge from the lightning overloaded the hover conversion kit, causing a rapid acceleration to 88. Just a hypothesis.
